I love the misdirect with Scorpion and Reptile. The obvious choices wouldn't have been as satisfying. I also really like the ones loke Sub Zero Polar bear, where the animal keeps digging into their torso.

Preying Mantis for cutting and eating your enemy 5. Octopus for squeezing and devouring your kombatant 6. Griffon for eating and flying away with the body 7. Seagulls a flock for devouring the opponent 8. Crayfish for slapping the opponent with it's tail 9. Triceratops to impaled your enemy with it's horns 10. Crocodile for chomping your kombatant

Some of them like Sub-Zero as a polar bear nightwolf as a wolf make a lot of since even Molina as s skunk indefinitely Liu Kang as a dragon. But scorpion as a penguin makes no sense and reptile being achimp also makes no sense. Scorpion should definitely turn into a giant scorpion in mortal Kombat 4 that is one of his fatalities and probably his best and most logical one. And reptile turning into any type of reptile would make sense he could be a komodo dragon or even an alligator.
Noticed that other then the 15 original characters from MK3, every other characters afterward explode into their animal form rather than actually transforming into one. You know this cause when the MK3 character transform they change back whereas the ones not in MK3 doesn't change back.

MK3 (vanilla) has this eerie glow to their transformations, but in Ultimate MK3, it's like the developers lost interest and just wanted to push product quickly by scaling down their transformations and making them look and animate goofy. Glad the Animalities made a spectacular detailed comeback in the latest Khaos DLC for MK1.
It feels like during MK3 the devs gave some pretty fitting animalities to each characters, but when UMK3 was released it felt like they were just messing around (Scorpion as a Penguin and Reptile as a chimp) and in MKT they just gave up since a lot of the fatalities in that game felt very lazy.

Animalities where introduced in MK3 Fun fact: in Vanilla MK3 there were no ninjas, so Sheeva received the Scorpion as an Animality. When Ultimate MK3 came out with the ninjas, Midway had to pick a different animal for Scorpion and they (for some reason) picked the penguin, which is histerical

Fun fact: in Vanilla MK3 there were no ninjas, so Sheeva received the Scorpion as an Animality. When Ultimate MK3 came out with the ninjas, Midway had to pick a different animal for Scorpion and they (for some reason) picked the penguin, which is histerical
