themarket.bonh... In this video, my XJS goes to The Market as it's up for auction. This wraps up my ownership of the car and the two and a half year journey it's been.
Thanks for sharing with us, the ups and downs of the XJS. We've all learnt things through your videos. Life's a journey, so I can understand why your moving on. Best wishes.
I am just about to buy my first XJS and I have been very lucky to catch the tail end of your ownership with yours. Thank you for you love of the car and commitment to the channel Jimbo. Godspeed and best of health to you and your family!
I really enjoyed your videos Jimbo. This series was a real life view of what an owner of this car can realistically expect to deal with. After viewing the issues you've faced, I would say that unless you have very good mechanical skills and/or a very healthy bank account, you should steer clear of this car. I do hope you take on another project car, as I've really enjoyed this honest account of a working man dealing with the reality of maintaining what is a dream car for most of us.
Hate to see you go Jimmy but duty calls … thank you for your videos - you built a Great Classic car that will always be outstanding ! Here, in the states, many of us are fascinated by the rare English sports cars like the MGC, TR 250, XJ6 Coupe … it’s endless how many cars you have there that we rarely see - a lot of potential if you decide to start up again ! Good Luck
The xjs at the end sounds epic! I know the Jag has gone but it’d be great to have some updates on the how you’re getting on with the Saab and Alfa - both interesting cars themselves.
The SAAB was replaced with a Jaguar S-Type and the Alfa with an BMW 3 series tourer. Have been meaning to do videos on each, but just not had the time. Thanks for the support and I do, finally have some videos coming this year.
Sad times with the Jag, Jimbo! But, I know in the back of your mind you will be back to planning something else truly awesome! Hope you have a successful sale 👍🏻
@@JimbosDriveway Shame you put a lot of effort into it, but know what you put in you dont always get out in monetary value - good luck with your next project - id have snapped it up
Usually feeling the pressure from a spouse to get out of this very expensive passion that rarely has an end in sight. They live in reality, unlike us car nuts.

Thanks for the video's. My kind of car/my kind of spec. Good luck to you 🙂
:( sad to eee the XJS go - was looking forward to you doing more things on the manual V12 beast.
Jim, can you please let us know the result of the auction? Thanks. Enjoyed your story.
Ah! Saw it on the Bonham site.
Sorry Jimbo, Forgot to mention my name. HFS is Henk Visser from the Netherlands.
No relation to Yolandi?
This XJ-S had too many potential rust issues to keep as a long term investment anyway. Enjoyed the videos though!
Hi.
May I ask what the car achieved at auction pleas?
Just under £13K
Hey Mate, and you've kept the wife out of the videos but could you let us know, was it the car or the Lady that put an end to it? Both?
Neither. I have some other work commitments that need my full attention and as much as I love the car, don’t want to see it mothballed, indefinitely.
Is this sold now?
Yes, long gone!
What did it go for ?
Low 13’s at auction

Hi Jim what tyres are on the car
Nexens. Half the cost of Pirelli but still a decent tyre in a hard to find size.
Rock on with your bad self! Get more SAABs lol
Buy a V12 empty ur bank account it seems.Still it is a nice motor👍
I don't get it, people spend all that hard earned cash on fixing up a car only to sell it for less??

@@brighteyesvideos the kind of pressure you put them under when they go needlessly shopping you mean? The car stays. Both of them.
Noooooooo! 😢
