Jimbo's Driveway
United Kingdom
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 23 ก.พ. 2020
Jimbo's Driveway is a channel documenting my love of cars (and sometimes motorbikes). The cannel started out in 2019 with my Jaguar XJ-S V12, with a 5-speed manual gearbox conversion. I documented my ownership experience, which contained many highs as well as some lows, until I sold it in 2022. Between then and April 2024 was a bit quiet, after which the format has moved to focus on the more exotic and interesting end of the motoring world, with some silliness and hi-jinx thrown in occasionally. If you like things with four wheels, from supercars to classics and everything in between, you'll love my channel. Subscribe, hit that bell and be notified the next time I upload a video. Thanks and enjoy!
Ducati Lamborghini Streetfighter V4 1 of 1 and matched Aventador SVJ owner interview World Exclusive
Join me in this video, a World Exclusive interview with the owner of a 1 of 1 Ducati Lamborghini V4 Streetfighter and Lambo Aventador SVJ.
We go into detail as we walk around the Ducati to understand everything that makes this motorbike so unique and truly the only one that will exist, including some surprising additions you may not expect. Martin, the owner, explains the performance compared to his other bike (a pro-stock Suzuki dragster), before summarising some on the interesting challenges that comes with owning such a unique motorcycle.
Next, we take a look at the car that was used as a template for the Ducati; Martin’s Lamborghini Aventador SVJ in black, with red and gold details and LOTS of carbon fibre. This car is not only an 800hp, V12, weapon of a motor, but a work of art in its own right. This is no ordinary SVJ, if you can ever call one of these ordinary!
Watch until the end for some fun outtakes and to find out what’s coming next from Jimbo’s Driveway.

Diesel version is totally out of the equation at least here in Sweden since emissions tax is over 600 €'s for this particular model and that is sikk to say the least, would go for the petrol 1750 tbi 200 HP if buying the 159 ;-)
Lee Shirley Moore Edward Young Kenneth
It is NOT a noise.. It IS a SOUND... A VERY GOOD SOUND!👍🏻😁
Have a 2005 Aero convertible 2.0 - remapped as yours - Maptune exhaust - Bilstein shocks - Black diamond drilled and grooved discs - like yours clutch and timing chain in 9 years of ownership Waxoyled underneath
I might be hated upon but in my opinion I think the XJS is better looking than the E-type.
Squeek is probably the upper wishbone, common fault and a 30 min fix
Great video, please please keep your Saab as a daily driver as a middle finger salute to GM mediocrity 🖕😊... Deserves so much more than being a track day car. I drive my 93 convertible all over the Scottish Highlands Hillwalking and climbing and look forward to the drive as much as the climbing! They were engineered for real roads driving but bloody and excel at that... Glad you're hooked mate, Saabs forever! They're the coolest uncool cars on the planet, love em! 👍
I'm glad I watched this video, I'm buying a 1980 xjs v12, and i will definitely be looking under the car for rust..
The four leaf clover is mounted on most alfas as a good luck charm hoping they don't break down as much.
The way you're talking about this car is like listening to someone who has a beautiful labrador but complains that it's "tying." Get rid of it then. Anything of any real value has to have some of your energy put into it. Buy something recent from Germany or Japan instead,,, something you won't want. Better yet; get a Tesla.
I’m buying one once my lease is up. Done with leasing. I had a Saab 9000 15 years ago and loved it…
The speed bumps ate horrendous, I have side exit pipes with 3.5 inch clearance and have to be careful over railway tracks as well
I own an '88 XJS which I customized alot. My car gas 215,000 km on the engine and GM 400 ans still running like new!
I’m the 200th👍🏻🤪🎉🎉🎉
I was looking at the worlds that those guys did for you. I am so sorry those are so ugly and hideous but I’m sure they did a good job and made it strong. Thank you for the video.
This is why you must be a mechanic he must find a brand that you love and stick with the learn the car inside and out and do all the work yourself in that way your OCD of it being done right will be fulfilled
The cup holder is the reason you buy it....
Modern classic for sure
I had a late 6.0 XJRS which I manualised. It was fab!
So happy to have been able to see these vehicles in person and wow the camera just doesn’t do them justice love this dealer being my local 💪
That 308 QV is not fibre glass, they never were. Only the very first 308's ( two valve ) were fibre glass and dry sumped. They are the very rare ones.
Owning a Jaguar is like being married to the most beautiful woman in the world with a very, very expensive Heroin habit. 😂😂😂 Very beautiful XJS you have there sir. I am looking to buy an XJS but i am still not sure if it will be a coupe or convertible.
Yes, well done. But I still enjoy watching your old xjs-clips.👋
James! Great video to come back with! Well done!
The Deptford boy done good!
Love that he's on first name terms with Stephan and Claudio 🤣 Good vid Jimbo, love that Ducati hope he gets the chance to ride it 💪
👌 quite the change of the usual vids but great move Jim (Recently got XJS manual 4.0l inline 6, hence came across your channel) best of luck 👍
Amazing, I'd love to get another XJS one day. Thanks for watching and the comment!
An expression i like very much: Owning a Jaguar is like being married to the most beautiful woman in the world with a very, very expensive Heroin habit. 🤣
I have the same car. 125k drives like a dream and is my car of choice over my BMW 640d. I've had it chipped to 200 bhp and put Voloce alloys on it and it handles like a dream on its bigger tyres. You have to drive it and it gives you loads of feedback. I've been lucky enough to have spent my life in big limo type cars but this is the one that is my go to drive. Oh and the looks
all came with re axis, more stable at high speed, more manoverable at low speed,9_3s that is.
60 to 100 in 3rd will see off most boy racers with loud exhausts.
I love my saab,my next car will be ...a Saab!
A reminder of what greatness England was once capable, and of what comes once people are convinced to forget.
Just fell upon this as looking for a 159.. Glad you liked my Saab, it’s a real passion for me & was even our wedding car. Thanks, for featuring it buddy 😊. Rob
Hi Rob, it’s great when this happens. Lovely car and credit to you. If you ever fancy having a video made, I’d love to feature it one day?
No, not the best XJS ever. The facelift did the XJS no favours.
Your accent is so hawt right now, like Hazel. Zoolander reference
When describing an old Jag the first word thought of is always RUST.
An important piece of information Germany is now getting the missing money from garage owners through fines: The building authority is currently banning people from putting deregistered cars or cars with seasonal license plates or classic cars in garages, so my neighbor got a high fine and I now have to sell my old car there By order of the building authority, I am no longer allowed to put it in the garage and no longer tinker with it outside (in my own secluded garden!) and I cannot register it because the body has not yet been completely finished...the new Gavvo legislation is prohibited Every action in the garage other than driving in and out or unloading and loading categorically (even vacuuming!). I even had to put my old car, compressor and work table out in the snow, take a photo of it and send it to construction supervision. In the future, deregistered cars will no longer be allowed to be parked, as they are considered a structure on private property as soon as they are deregistered and you will then automatically be contacted and asked for a building application.
Wow, this sounds terrible and another stealth tax by the government!?
@@JimbosDriveway They are going completely nuts here about gas cars and fossile heating systems, we get new Eu Schlabubvvo laws so from 2036 not fossile heating will be allowed in entire EU and from 2030 no gas cars will be left.
You UK people deal with so much corrosion on cars. Rarely see that on cars living in Australia.
I just checked Australian prices $40-60k for a xjs which is pretty good considering
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars, trucks and busses including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany, the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime!!!
Wow, I’d not heard of this. It is worrying, this hatred of the petrol cars, especially when electric vehicles are not an environmentally friendly alternative. I wonder how long until the UK is enforcing this further.
Darth Vader behind the camera 😂
Tons of bits to get XJS looking fab. Front and rear valance, quarters, floor panels. just need the cash as always. love these cars.
Well kept ❤ love the wheels 🛞
I love my 06 9-3 Aero, I too had to have the clutch done on mine which wasn't the cheapest job but luckily that was covered under dealership warranty. I could've gotten a BMW, Merc, Audi or something of that nature, but I wanted something different and Saabs provide that. Also, from what I can tell mine seems like a fairly honest car mechanically.
Sadly soon All Gas cars will be illegal in EU and Uk
The xjs at the end sounds epic! I know the Jag has gone but it’d be great to have some updates on the how you’re getting on with the Saab and Alfa - both interesting cars themselves.
The SAAB was replaced with a Jaguar S-Type and the Alfa with an BMW 3 series tourer. Have been meaning to do videos on each, but just not had the time. Thanks for the support and I do, finally have some videos coming this year.
According to the new laws in EU and USA all gas cars are illegal soon!
Hi I have a jaguar xj6 1988. And I love it. I have had it form new. Not a bit of trouble with it...
Wow, had it from new!? That is a serious commitment and credit to you!
What a beautiful example of one of the sexiest cars ever created!! The choice of color and wheel design really compliment the Jag's body!! I first learned of the XJS back in 1989 when my cousin was given a maroon 1978 XJS, as a graduation present from his parents! I've been in love with the XJS ever since! Good luck with your cool Jag!
