HOMEMADE VANILLA ICE CREAM
3 TBSP. CORNSTARCH (NOT LEVELED)
6 C. WHOLE MILK (VERY COLD)
2 2/3 C. SUGAR
4 LG. OR 5 SM. EGGS
3/4 TSP. SALT
1 CAN (13 OZ.) EVAPORATED MILK
1 PT. WHIPPING CREAM (VERY COLD)
3 1/2 TBSP. VANILLA CRUSHED ICE AND LOTS OF ICE CREAM SALT
Put milk in freezer one hour prior to mixing. In a batter bowl whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk well. In a separate bowl beat eggs. Add eggs and evaporated milk to batter bowl with sugar whisk very well. Microwave on high 3 minutes. Take out and whisk well. (Can use a hand mixer if needed). Continue to cook on high for 2 minute intervals -whisking well between cooks until it is thick and pudding like in texture. Add milk, whipping cream and vanilla. Fill ice cream freezer container 2/3 full. Freeze per ice cream freezer manufacturer instructions. Enjoy y’all!
Ice cream should be creamy and soft serve texture.
Important: milk and whipping cream must be very cold in order to cool the hot pudding down. Make sure and put them in the freezer prior to adding to ice cream.

Happy 4th of July, Tammy & Sweet Hubby! Have a blessed day! Love ya’ll❤️🙌🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Looks really good Tammy! Happy 4th to you and Chris! Thanks for sharing! ❤
Yep, I remember us seating on top of the ice cream maker while others cranked it! Sweet memories!
Chris reminded me of the family get togethers at my aunt's house in Avera GA as a child. Making ice cream with a hand cranked churn did take all day but when it was done, it was pure heaven. My fav was peach using peaches off my aunt's trees🍑. Thanks for the memory 💕.
My grandmother use to put lemon and lemon zest in her ice cream. She didn’t use a lot just a soft lemon flavor, so good!
Daddy made homemade vanilla ice cream on special occasions, i remember him cooking the custard so carefully and adding everything, his was so velvetty smooth, he learned from his dad, they made it outside in the snow during winter, they nestled a clean coffee can in the snow and churned it.
Happy 4th of July from the Stevens and Rakes family. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. ❤❤❤❤
I bought one of those gloves after I did a number on my finger using a grater, you’re right the finer the cabbage the better the coleslaw is. Chris has the best laugh.
Happy 4th of July to you all .Love you and Chirs have a fun day .Thank you for cooking with us.Amen to you all.😇🍦
Mama was a very intelligent woman you must be so proud of her and everything she thought you
Thanks for sharing Happy 4th Blessings 🙏❤️

May the Lord continue blessing you
Fresh strawberry ice cream is my fav! HAPPY 4TH TO YOU❤
That time of year again. I never had homemade ice cream. But vanilla is the way to go, cus you can add any flavor you want to it. God bless y'all.

Happy 4th, thank you for sharing. 😊
Love y’all’s house, that backyard seating area is so nice! ❤

Girl Scout camp was the last time! I love strawberry with lots of real strawberries in it!🍓🍓🍓🍓
Hey Tammy & Chris, Linda here from Florida. I love watching all your lives and videos. I try not to miss any of yours but please don’t take this wrong. I have to say I wish your sister could open a website on her own. 😊
I love these recipes from Philadelphia
Happy 4th of July. Chris and Tammie I love your videos and if I lived close to you I would be at your house eating everything that Tammie cooks😊.
Your potato salad looks delicious and reminds me of my mother’s. My mother didn’t add the tomato to hers but she would always add a jar of pimento for the color and she also didn’t want the potatoes over cooked, she said fork tender not mashed potato tender, she wanted her potato salad to stay chunky and not partially mashed! She also used sweet relish but would chop up a few baby dill pickles as well. She always said the secret to a good potato salad was including a lot of eggs!! Of course I loved her potato salad!! 💕
I love the decoration of the Amazing Grace
Happy 4th Tammy and Chrisbe safe God bless you all
It looks very pretty
Have a great 4th. You all have a blessed day.
I still have my Pampered Chef egg slicer and small whisk, I have had them both for about 20 years. I’m going to use your potato salad recipe for dinner on the 4th. Thanks for the video Tammy!
All these recipes are sounding delicious 😋
Which is more potent garlic powder or garlic salt?
I've never heard of putting pickle relish in cole slaw I'll have to try it
Salt
I don't think they are different in that way, but I prefer to use powders, so I don't add salt to my recipes. I also like the flavor of roasted garlic powder over regular garlic powder. Chris has never liked the flavor of garlic salt.
It looks delicious 😋
Kathie says…Happy 4th of July to my Georgia Sweeties!!! Your recipes look delicious as always!!! I hope that you have a Happy, Safe, Rain-free Holiday!! We are suppose to have Thunderstorms here in Terre Haute, so we will make our Shish-Ka-Bobs and grill them on Friday. Have Fun!!!😘👩🏻🦳🌭🍔🎆🎇🇺🇸
Happy 4th of July, Tammy and Chris .Thank you for sharing all your recipes with us today .
Looks delicious!!! Thank you!!! 😊❤
I've never made ice cream
Hello,Christ and Mrs Tammy that ice cream looks very refreshing and yummy, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY❤👍🏾
Yum yum
Peach. My all-time favorite. Happy 4th.
Rocky Road is my favorite flavor of ice cream 😋
Hey Tammy and Chris.. Looks like you’re making a feast for the 4th. Everything looks delicious. I got a tip years ago on boiling pots of potatoes, pasta, eggs, whatever, if you’ll put a big wooden spoon across your pot of boiling food it keeps it from boiling over. Sounds silly but give it a try. Happy 4th. Love ya!❤
Thank you for the recipe for the homemade ice cream. Why is it that after you dont finish all the ice cream and you put it in the freezer it has a different texture like its not creamy anymore. What can you do maybe let it set out for a while. Does anyone know? Thank you!!!
See if your microwave has an ice cream soften setting. This helps a lot. I use mine all the time, but I take it out early every time.
Hello from Indiana. Good to see you again.
The last time I had home made ice cream was back in early 80’s when my dad was still with us. He had the ice cream maker you hand cranked. We all took turns cranking and sitting on it. I don’t like store bought chocolate ice cream but my dad made the best chocolate and strawberry ice cream. He bought his ice cream freezer when he was a kid at home. Five dollars and paid it off a nickel at a time.
Hey yall, Mama always. made homemade ice cream for us especially in the summer,
Oh what fun we had, Precious. Precious Precious
Moment!
Thanks for sharing. 😊❤🙏
Ms. Ruby
A New York minute is a lot faster than an Alabama or Georgia minute. It is a very short time. Love your videos so much!
Happy 4th Tammy
Tammy, your ice cream mix (pre-churned) is custard like thickness. When your ice cream was finished churning your ice cream was the thickest I have seen. To thicken most people put their ice cream in the freezer. I think your recipe is the answer to thick ice cream. BTW I don't like a silicone whick even though I like the concept. Happy 4th to You and Chris and Thanks for another great video. Linda from Georgia!
Just made some today. Vanilla and made with old fashioned cooked custard like I did.
Tammy where did u get your measuring cups that looks like spoons

Hello Tammy I hope you and Chris have a happy Fourth of July
Hi Ms Tammy 😊
My favorite homemade ice cream is chocolate flavored with YooHoo chocolate flavored drinks.
My favorite homemade ice cream would be butter pecan. Love your outfit Tammy.
Love that heavy duty large stainless steel large bowl with a great lip to hold onto to. Is that on your storefront or Amazon favs? 😊
Yes it is!
Tammy you look so cute in your 4th of July outfit making ice cream. Love your hair cut! I am lactose intolerant 😩but the ice cream looks good! Love your channel.
I think you made frozen custard. Yummy!
We love peach ice cream
Momma would like it like that since the eggs have been cooked
I haven’t made ice cream in a few years. I made it often when my parents were alive. Their favorite was cherry pecan. Why does homemade ice cream seem so much colder? After my granddaughter ate a few bites, she would announce, “Fweeze bwain!”😂🤣
Dear Tam watching you is like watching hing my little sister Ronda thank you
Happy upcoming Independence Day.. Enjoy your celebration..❤️🤍💙
I don’t like the taste of blue blue plate. I like the taste of Dukes mayonnaise but everything else looks absolutely wonderful. Your barbecue sauce is awesome. But my hubs will not eat lol no matter how I cook it or fix i but I did like your barbecue sauce with molasses in it. That sounds interesting. I will have to try that on some ribs this summer. I love the way you cook. I cook the same way old-fashioned and southern I’m from Alabama and down here we cook with butter, cream cheese cream and fat. The only thing we don’t do is eat it every day. But for special occasions like the Fourth of July, you better believe we’re bringing out our best recipes that our grannies ever gave us.
Pineapple Sherbert is my favorite.
All five of these picnic recipes look so delicious 😋Ms. Tammy and Chris.
Hi Tammy and Chris from Tammy in NJ! Happy July 4th! 🇺🇸
I'm from Wales in the UK, great video, how come, americans say 'month day year' but when it comes to your Indepedence Day you say 4th July the British way - day month year' just an observation.
