If you struggle with some darker objects, shiny objects etc, try dusting it with baby powder. A very thin layer of baby powder was 5x more effective than 3D scanning spray, even the spray that shipped with my Miraco Pro
Hello, thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, I have used baby powder before, it is one of the effective methods. Only the spray is more practical.
thanks for a great review. Did you scan the scooter outdoors ? what difficulties did you encounter ? - loosing the tracking ? do you think its practical for scanning cars and bikes outdoors on the street ?
Hello, you're welcome, I'm glad you liked the review. It's not easy to scan outdoors. Although the place I scanned was in the shade, it was difficult to scan. In a place with direct sunlight, it would be much more difficult. However, using scanning spray and scanning markers on the surface will make it easier. Another suggestion I have is that scanning can be done in the afternoon instead of during the day.
@@3DPrintLab1 thanks for your answer. So it scans fine in an evening light when the sun isnt right on top? What about under lights in a showroom? or in an exhibition ? when you say its difficult.. do you mean it loses tracking ? would you be doing a review of the creality raptor as well ?
@@danp7979 You are welcome. Yes, there should not be too much light in the environment, including sunlight. Too much light causes glare and reflections. The scanner may not see the object or may lose tracking even if it does. I used Raptor for a short time and I think it is a better scanner, especially for small objects. However, Creality is still not good in terms of software and you need to use a high-performance computer, especially to use the blue laser. It does not have as much freedom as Miraco pro. I can prepare a review video in the coming weeks. I take your requests into consideration.

@@3DPrintLab1 Thanks I have a Ranga and a CR Ferret. @@byronwilliams6532 Then I suggest you look into the Creality CR-Scan Raptor. I haven't used it yet, but I plan to review it later. This scanner can scan both small and large objects up to 2 meters.
@@3DPrintLab1 sounds good. Right now I’m just doing my research on several scanners. What I do like about the ferret is that it is more forgiving that the Range or the Pop 2 that I previously owned. The Ferret will let you scan the same area of the point cloud and double it. I was able to scan to do a several rotations of a object without a problem. So for non of the Revopoint products that I used have been as forgiving
@@byronwilliams6532 I've used Ferret too and I agree with you. Its scanning sensitivity is as good as the Revopoint mini, and it can also scan objects as large as the Pop3. Having only a wired connection is a disadvantage.
At work we are looking for a 3d scanner that can take scans on things that is maybe 2x2x4 meters... do you have any suggestion in that volume? don't need more than .2 mm accuracy.
I cannot say that it is difficult to use, you will be able to use all its features within a few days. However, what is important is what you want to use this 3D scanner for. Because sometimes 3D scanners purchased for purposes other than their intended use can be disappointing. For what purpose do you plan to use it?
@3DPrintLab1 I would like to use it to create realistic 3D renderings of furniture and such to put on virtual scanned homes for VR tours. I think that as a real state seller and side interior design consultant, with furniture brand partners, I can maximise my sells, because the client will see the ultimate dream house before buying it and remodeling it. Do you think is possible something like that?
@khaledbousba5957 This 3d scanner would not be suitable for you. I think you can look at the 3d scanner I shared the link to www.shining3ddental.com/solution/aoralscan-3-wireless-intraoral-scanner/
When ideal conditions are met, it can scan quickly. However, if there is a lot of sunlight and the colors of the object being scanned are not very suitable, it scans slowly. For example, I had difficulty scanning a motorcycle.
Yes, however depending on which software you use, and your specs, you may want to bring the scan results as a STL into Blender or another app/software to reduce/decimate your geometry before importing to AutoCad or software like Fusion360. Lots of complex geometry chonks pretty hard in most CAD software.
I hope you don't mind some criticism, but your narration sounds like that of an AI model. I think it's primarily your intonation at the end of a sentence. I understand you're not a native English speaker, and considering that, your pronunciation is really good - it's just the intonation that sounds off.

What is difference between miraco pro and normal one
Pro 32, 16 Ram which is normal. This affects scanning speed.
thank you

I didn’t realize it was two different versions. Standard and Pro
Yes, there are two different versions. I think 512 GB should be preferred for faster scanning and faster processing.
