Interesting review. I have owned these binoculars for many months now and find them optically and ergonomically superb. It has great light transmission (90 per cent)and exceptionally close focus distance of just under 1m(95 cm measured), which is unrivalled on the market except for the Pentax Papilios, which can focus down to 0.5m. All in all; great value for money.

First time binocular purchase for me. Would like to have seen you attach the strap and perhaps the eyecup holder to the strap, since the manual mentions it but does not show how to do it.

I m looking for a binocular for narrow distance. I found the trinovid 8x32 oder the kowa 8x32 bd ii. Which one has better optical performance?

The bag is brilliant...you did not demo it correctly...the strap goes through the back...and the bag hangs around one's neck

They are good, great size, weight and build quality with very sharp optics but...my 18yr old Swarovski slc 7x42bs have them beat. Trouble is the Swaros are 300grams heavier which is not so good for Arthritic hands and the Leicas will now be my go to binos...even so i cannot bring myself to sell the Swaros.....ps, with the neckstrap fitted the Leica carry bag is too small.
