Hi Mike, thanks for promoting the French artists in the UK 🙂, well even though Charlotte Gainsbourg has British heritage from her mother. I remember that some of the songs were played regularly on our radio stations in France when this album came out. as you said, she has devoted her career more to cinema. Nice selection, cheers

I had a couple CDs from Gainsbourg. I loved her voice and music. Really good stuff. I just bought the new album from athe Civics based on Mime Rankins recommendations

Excellent stuff Lord Leeds, you always show some great records. I’ve been meaning to pick up the Jen Cloher release, this years, but still haven’t got round to it. I will as it sounds great. I picked up a red vinyl Civic ‘Taken by Force’, I’m enjoying that. The Benster aka The Bishop of Aus, certainly does hit the pocket hard with his recommendations. I’m still loving the Beast of Bourbon records I picked up on his recommendation. Regina has got me interested. Great picks Mike. Mike

Great pick ups Mike. Sounds a bit like Kraftwerk...I'm in! Am I wrong or did Charlotte Gainsbourg do something with Beck too? You found Straight Arrows!! Well done mate. At 33rpm could be a good drone album 😂I decided not to get that Civic, because I have New Vietnam & those 7's already, but I imagine all in one place it packs a punch. They do a few great covers on the 7's. I especially love the Eno cover. Glad to see you got Jen's newie. It's great too. In Blood Memory is the one I first discovered Jen. Nice stuff mate. Don't think I've ever heard Charlotte Gainsbourg BUT I saw the cement garden at the cinema (I used to go see alot of films, rarely now) yes it had a very odd atmosphere.
