football hasn't yet gone from being an entertainment industry to a money making, trophy collecting one - in the eyes of the beholder of course - for people to mention his name before others.
HOWEVER, there is a tactical side to football that many like, though not the mass, that do rate him as high as it is possible.

He's the last one of a dying breed of coaches. Once he's gone it's all about Pep-and-Klopp clones obsessed with structure, position and pressing. I've been enjoying Ancelotti's work since the early 2000s at Milan and am trying to keep enjoying it while it's still possible. After he's gone, it will be hell.

Ancelotti is a man manager, he can bring out the most from people. This is amazing if you have a great team but its not effective if you have a mediocre team. His calmness also very good in high stake matches like UCL but not always good on every sunday. He is great, and players play hard out of love for him and not out of fear.

@@oldskoolmusicnostalgia True top managers are usually manage top teams, not because they are better managers, because they are probably better at that job. If you were a world class player you can skip some steps on the ladder.
Klopp had quite a success with Mainz, than Dortmund (though Dortmund can be considered top team)
Mourinho who was almost a nobody started from the bottom, he had crazy run with Porto than he became a top manager.
      Sir Alex same.
Guardiola had a big advantage that he was a world class player and good connections in Barca He retired from playing in 2006 and after one good year in BarcaB where he promoted from 3rd division to 2nd division. Gotta love the ancelotti prop. I think him being under the radar when it comes to goat coaches is one of the reasons why a lot of coaches fails as coaches. Every coach out there these days wants to be like pep or mou. Where they are the stars of the game rather than the players that actually play. They see a philosophy and think that it's the way of life and stick with it to the end. No wonder why zidane and now xabi are successful and is getting there. While hardcore disciples like ten hag, xavi and v.kompany are failing. They tie themselves to a system that may not fit the players that they currently have and in sport that is constantly evolving. Even the rules changes the game.

Honestly even when he was still at AC MILAN back then, I have already considered him as the best coach of all time. He won 2 Champions League with the club and nearly won again in 2005 final only for Liverpool to make a comeback. With him in AC milan, the club is rank consistently as the top team in the world and dominate the Champions League every single season.
Now without him, AC milan are considered nothing and it was Real Madrid who consistently win the Champions League again and again.

Because the power of friendship. Duuuh
But seriously Carlo didn't forced his ideal on his team he sees what player he have what is their ability and play accordingly. He doesn't have quality Winger on his Milan days. But he have bunch of Playmaker and Center mid. so he play with Diamond. He doesn't have true striker now so he put his 2 winger up front and played one of his midfielder as false 10. He really brings out the best from Kaka, Inzaghi, Vinicius, Benzema, Bellingham and etc because he really knows them and how they wanted to play football. And that essentially is just friendship. It actually is the power of friendship

He learned that at Parma. Carlo deeply regrets marginalizing Zola there: at the time he was still a young manager convinced 4-4-2 was THE way to go and hammered everyone into it. Who could not fit into the system was pruned, like Zola, sold to Chelsea.

I personally don’t like it I always felt it lack creativity from players like dam except when he let Messi be Messi it what fine. But in city it’s like dam this is wack to watch.
