      Soften your heart and get the evil out. Freewill is just like the man said it is. It is the only way love can reign supreme. If you take scripture out of context you can make it say pretty much anything you want it to say. You are pretty good at that. May God open your eyes and heart to the truth.

    • @jackdurham5601
      @jackdurham5601 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @# I would love to get you face to face and get u out of the old testament and teach you to balance the scriptures. I feel sorry for you because you have never had an encounter with God. Open your heart son and challenge God. Tell him if he is real then reveal yourself to me. Open your heart and mean it and he will show you. But you must do it with all your heart. A carnal mind cannot understand the word of God. I noticed you missed that scripture. Just reach out to him, you will come away different, I promise. Promises made promises kept.. amen

      The Lord spoke through this man. I don't know if these allegations are true; but I believe it is the message, and not the messenger that really matters. Even Ravi quoted the verse in Jeremiah which reads, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Who can know it? You never know what you, or I, or even Ravi, would do under a certain circumstances. This is why we NEEDED Jesus Christ to die on the cross... all have sinned and come short of glory of God. Seek Him in your life... He's never been far, and He loves you (His Creation), and wants to get to know you. Don't let some allegations about a man of his (Ravi's) stature keep you from Him. The ONE,TRUE, GOD. You're life depends on it. I Love ALL OF YOU, Thanks.

      @@Jack44M She listens to his message, a message with a sound, intellectual doctrine. I don't think she would be ok about it, if the allegations were found to be true. Only a fool despises wisdom, remember that... Not in anger, or hostility, but in love. We've all done horrible things, made terrible mistakes. I've done horrible things to people...horrible. If it is true, the Lord will deal with him. Just like He will deal with us, if we don't turn to Christ our only hope. On the other side, our spirits will go into eternal darkness, and torment. If there's even a 1% chance that Christ is the train to eternal life, I'm buying my ticket. Anyway, sorry to preach at you. It's all in compassion for my fellow man(kind).

The veracity of Zacharias's purported academic positions at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge was also questioned.
      He claimed for years that he had previously held a teaching gig at Oxford. They had never heard of him.
      In a 3 December 2017 statement,[48] Zacharias said, "Let me state categorically that I never met [Thompson] alone, publicly or privately. The question is not whether I solicited or sent any illicit photos or messages to [her]-I did not, and there is no evidence to the contrary-but rather, whether I should have been a willing participant in any extended communication with a woman not my wife. The answer, I can unequivocally say, is no, and I fully accept responsibility." My dad went through the whole an omni God would not allow such suffering - I at a young age only had the free will argument. But I would pray to God whatever it takes... well in 2000 my dad was stricken with a terminal cancer diagnosis (March) which would not have been enough to convince him. But in April my brother was killed in an auto accident. By the time my dad died in Aug I believe he had chosen Jesus/God. Certainly not the path I would have hoped for, but will be grateful one fine day when we are all together in His kingdom.

The devil is trying to use Ravi's weakness and sin to detract from his legacy and his message. I am Orthodox Christian and I am not a protestant, but Ravi dedicated his life to the defense of Christianity and preaching the gospel. The Orthodox Christian belief is to no judge for we may not know the whole story and not to destroy the good because of the bad. May Ravi Zacharias rest in peace and may God have mercy on his soul.

    This makes sense to me.
    Because, think about it. The question was, why didn't God stop the man from pulling the trigger?
    Ok, let's just say he did stop it. Now what? In order to protect us from ourselves and keep us from making one mistake after another, God intervenes and makes the decision for us. Then what?
    Are we grateful? Do we love him for it? Do we say yes, yes, thank you God for removing my autonomy, freedom, and self-determination? Thank you God for imposing your will so profoundly and so concretely that we have no choice but to worship you, and the whole world is like North Korea. It's a wonderful life....too bad it isn't mine.
    It's not like that. The very thing we claim we want from God is the same thing we would condemn him for if he provided it. The purest form of love does not try to protect itself, and it doesn't try to protect you either. Because it loves, it allows you to love, and to hate. To accept or reject. As anyone with children knows, you hope your kids love you, but if they don't, that doesn't mean you don't love them either.

      Christiaan Bell , it’s real and simply exposes a human for what he is . He is not amazing , he is a man and he sinned like all . Only Jesus is perfect and the perfect will of God is that God is Glorified .
      Gods will cannot be resisted as the word says who can resist His will . God makes things happen and we just watch and yet we are liable for our decision and our choice in matters . This is the mystery of Holiness imputed by God Himself . The apostle paul said put no confidence in the flesh and so we must not , only the holiness of God can be considered good .

      No worries Andrew. All you found out about him was that he was not perfect. But wait, didn't we already know he wasn't perfect? And if he was not perfect, then he had vices or personal issues he was dealing with. But we know that. We just now know which vices they were by name. Can we name a single person who was perfect besides Jesus? I'm certain your answer is no. We can still trust that his words were true about the Lord.
      We trust the words of David who wrote Psalms, but he killed 800+ people and was punished for it. The Lord didn't allow him to build His temple, confirming he was flawed. But yet we respect his account about the Lord. We read from Solomon's books, Proverbs and so on, but he was an adulterer and suffered from intense depression that caused him to go against commands of the Lord. We read from Hosea that God told him to marry a prostitute named Gomer. She leaves Hosea and lays with other men again, yet Hosea went and paid for her and forgave her and lived happily with her. Is he crazy? Idk, but we still respect his account. We still respect his account.
      We read from 1st&2nd Peter, but he was a liar and denied Jesus and even maimed a temple guard. We still respect his account. We read from the gospel of Mark, but he was a deserter. We respect his account still. Paul who wrote the majority of the new testament, he was a Christian killer and later showed himself to be unwilling to give second chances or possibly forgiveness towards Mark(as forgive means to pardon as if it never happened, and love is to keep no record of wrongs), but Paul still refused to work with Mark. should we throw out his books about God's grace when he failed to show any to Mark? no. We still respect the truth of all the words of imperfect people when the words are true about the Lord. Ravi is no exception. He was flawed like us all, but his words were true about the Lord.

But what I wanted to say is that from the little I know about Ravi Z & his approach to people, is that he gave every questioner an opportunity to question, no matter how disparaging it might sound to us; so to Patrick he might explore why you feel that way; and to cheetahpizza he might say, give love and room for the questioner. After all, the Jesus we proclaim did that for many during his years on earth. He invited Thomas, the famous doubter, to touch the wounds in his hands. He gave the woman at the well, a hated Samaritan of their time with multiple "husbands," the opportunity to question him. Sincere questions should not freak us out. We need to welcome dialogue. I am not as skilled as Ravi Z in explaining reasons for faith, but in my brief years on this planet and as a Christian who has made wrong choices for myself; doubted God; run from God even; I can say now that that His love never stops, never gives up, never is proud. (1 Corinthians 13 of course). So my brothers (or sisters); please don't add to the social media hate toward one another. Jesus said the greatest commandment is: "Love The Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. this is the first and greatest commandment. Only with the eternal perspective, with which we truly see his ultimate wisdom, should we be able to look ahead and be filled with joy for what He has done and will do ahead.

The kidnapper could have shot me in the head (trigger ready to go at my right temple) instead he chose to let me go...whose to say that God isn't encouraging all of us to choose Him, choose life, choose love, choose faith, choose to step away from evil, throughout our lifetime...☝️❤

    This answer is a monument to the delusional power of in-group thinking. The fact that it makes logical sense within the group of people who have convinced themselves that ther invisible all-powerful friend loves them, yet would stand back and allow them to die in excruciating pain and misery, says it all. "Free will is love". That's why you never stop your children from stepping out in front of traffic right?

      @icecoolguita 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Martyrs of any religion(or anything really) just believe there's something worth more than whatever amount of happiness/joy they could find in their current life.
      He actually isn't implying "to have free will is true love." He said you can't have the purest form of love without also, intrinsically weaving in "freedom of the will," which explains why God will not stop every single unfairness in this world because it violates the highest pleasure(2:23) that humans seek.

    • @Martial-Mat
      @Martial-Mat 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@icecoolguita I must disagree with you Arthur. Your phrasing (their current life) suggests that martyrs do it in the belief of a furture benefit. Many people have allowed themselves to be martyred in SERVICE to a greater good (saving lives for instance).
      Also, his and your claim that free will is the highest virtue, which is demonstrably true, but is a very America way of viewing the world. Given that your god sets the rules, designs our brains to value or not value things, he could easily have configured us to value security and love, and not to care about free will whatsoever. To give us free will then murder us for using it, knowing already HOW we would use it is the action of a madman.

    • @icecoolguita
      @icecoolguita 3 ปีที่แล้ว

       @Mat Broomfield Hey, so in this video the speaker is saying that the highest virtue is love(he uses Oscar Wilde as an example), not free will. The reason it ties into free will is because it's impossible to have the love we all want without also giving us humans complete, freedom of the will.
      I don't really see it as God giving us free will and using it as an excuse to murder whoever he chooses. In my perspective(I'm christian), our values aren't randomly created. The bible states that humans are created in the image of God. So that means we hold love as the highest virtue simply because God does.
      From how I see it, humans have a natural reverence to whoever created them(like how children obey/respect their parents that brought them into the world). That should be the natural state of the world if nobody went against it. Just imagine if there was actually an almighty God, the goal if nobody misused their free will is: humans giving God the praise he deserves, simultaneously, a world without pain.
      We're able to enjoy the highest virtue, love, so that means we also have free will. But in this world there is evil that sees to use this free will as a good opportunity to deceive/destroy humans, leading to all the unfair pain in this world (like the innocent man referenced in the beginning of this video). I don't want this to be too long so: th-cam.com/video/-eUhVJEJqoQ/w-d-xo.html
      can explain why there is evil in this world much better than I can.
