Update: I finally saw this movie last night and yes it was dark, and violent, but also GREAT. It's extremely thoughtful and honest in its exploration of gender, performance, desire, power, and how fear/self-hatred destroy and diminish people. I'm going to spoil the fact that NO ONE DIES, because I think it's important, and it doesn't take anything away from the impact of this film ✨️👍👍✨️ I really REALLY hope I get to see you react to it someday! 💖
And yes it's also 🔥HOT🔥

Saw the film yesterday. it is ABSOLUTELY fucked up, incredibly hot, and revenge that gets twisted. totally recommend.
It's on Netflix now! Really, really tense film. The leads are fantastic, especially George Mackay who completely disappears into the role. Eveb though he has a distinctive face I kept forgetting it was him. Highly recommend though it's a tough watch in places

Omg I just remembered! I saw this featured on a list and honestly, it’s like the queer version of ‘Promising Young Woman’.
Pleaseeee watch it, it's a great movie! I saw it in the theatre and there was just me in the room, and at the last second a couple arrived, it saddens me how queer movies don't get any advertisement, I got to know about it by accident, googled about it and saw it was on the cinema. It definitely deserves more hype.
i saw it in theatres and it was very anxiety-inducing. i recommend it.

Juxtaposition of drag in society, the clothes and persona we each use to give the illusion of self to others. Masculine and feminine, why can't we be both? I'm gay but I absolutely get Preston's need to appear as Masculine as possible. I'm out but get called a bad gay because I don't like the music or cultural elements everyone else worships, so I can get how he has a limited tolerance, horrible how fear and pain drives him through. The scenes are really brutal, I had huge amounts of trouble watching this film, just a warning incase people want to see it.
