I am consistently blown away by your creative choices - specifically the way you made the innards of the cauldron, made and integrated the rat’s tail, formed the frog’s lips, made the drips on the candle (?!?!!), etc. - and I was genuinely so engaged watching you work. obsessed with you!!!
I've made this, but I've added other characters to it, that you've made. Then I used make-up to make the items look dirty, and added a staff to the frog, with a jewel at the top. I love it. I just wish I could send you a picture of it, I'm now making a smaller version for my grandson all ready for Halloween. I know it's early but it gives me a chance to make other things. Also I bought a plastic skeleton and took it apart, painted it with acrylic paints and a sponge finished it off. Love complicatedknots, you are amazing, thank you.

I did it, I made a little frog wizard as a stand alone. He's adorable and the pattern is so easy to follow! I will say though that with no base to be attached to, he is a little top heavy so I had to give him a staff to stabilize him. Next time I will add weight to his bum.
you have no idea how happy these scenes make me! not that i don't love your normal amigurumi projects, of course, but there's something about putting an entire crochet scene together that is so satisfying,, not to mention very unique and creative. i mean, how many scenes/dioramas do you see in crochet youtube? not many, other than the two you've made, i can only think of the one Skein Spider made for the 100 piece challenge. oh, so many ideas are coming to mind now. a haunted house, a ghost pokemon scene, a winter wonderland, a tree full of kodama...

This is so amazing. I just finished making my own after making the tree last week and I love how it turned out. I used purple and pink on the toad and neon green for its eyes because i thought what better way to represent Halloween than to use colors reminiscent of a poison dart frog. I hope you do some other holiday scenes too like thanksgiving and Christmas.

So i just started crocheting a couple months ago after discovering you through your pokemon videos and feeling inspired. I had tried to crochet a few years back during the height of the pandemic but couldn't get the hang of it so i had given up. Thankfully my cousin had started to crochet in the mean time so she taught me. Unfortunately I'm currently struggling to even make a blanket so i think I'm a bit of a way off from making the things you make, but I eventually would love to be able to make everything you make! Your videos honestly inspire me to keep trying, no matter how many times I mess up my blanket lol.
Making a blanket is just doing the same stitch or pattern for the whole thing. Amigurumi is like completing a new mission each row of only single crochets.

i love the minies, also i made the articulated slug pattern in embroidery floss, and no my fingers are broken. It was totally worth it though for the cute tiny result lol

i think calling it "twisted single crochet" is correct, crab stitch i believe is just single crochet done backwards (left to right instead of right to left) without twisting your hook around. i've used it to sort of fake tapestry crochet by crocheting right to left like usual, and then using crab stitch to work left to right without turning my work

You know I haven't made amigurumis since like 10+ years? Since I started knitting (accessories & clothes) to be exact. I even got rid of most of my cheap yarns I used for those a while ago. And now, since I found your channel a few days ago, (that crochet with pearls video, then I had to find your videos on marigold (I saw her in the background and she's incredible)) I want to crochet all the things again!!!! I think the last "amigurumi" I made was a knit box-fox (crochet would be easier, but I really like the smoothness of knit fabric) and the most complex one was a crochet Toothless. I made a lot of small/tiny ones and they're still around here somewhere (except the ones I gifted to others obviously... just remembered the bunny in a hoody I made for a pregnat colleague (probably the last one I made)) Sorry to rant. Right after I do my puff stitches and I do my stitch count, I have too many stitches. I'm doing it right because I've watched you do them. After a round that has puff stitches I have way too many stitches. So, I omitted the stitches right before the puff and went right into the top of the puff and finally my stitch count came out right. This is the first time I've done puffs. ❤

You could easily adapt this pattern into that by not doing the hat or other accessories and doing the base in green and free-handing a flower or following a pattern for a flower.😊

I thought this pattern would be cuter with a black cat instead of a toad, (No offense the toad is adorable too) because I am a cat person, and I thought it would be funny if the rat was serving the cat. SO i took the frog pattern and actually managed to turn it into a really derpy but adorable cat by simply adding a few pieces to it and changing the back loop stitches a little, BUT I had zero faith in myself when I started so I didn't write any of it down! I am so mad at myself because I totally would have posted it under the video in case you wanted a cat instead, I am sorry, deeply and truly sorry.

So just a fun addition. You can brush out orange and red yarns and Mix them with the yellow. If you mix them together you can get a fun effect.
