I think Hoyo has realized that off-field dps shouldn’t be stronger than on-field dps. Pyro especially has it tough because of Xiangling who is an exception. Even Fontaine dpses have been looking pretty good.
What are you waffling about... Just the opposite. Take a look at pyro roster. And compare with other elements. We already have overabundance of pyro on-fielders and we have barely anything besides that. Xiangling is Genshin day 1 character. And no, she is not without drawbacks and ideal for every situation. She is very specific. They could very easily design many various interesting pyro off-field DPSs, especially when mixing some utilities in the kit. Miracle happened and we got Chevreuse. Guess what. Lack of off-field pyro is one of her biggest restrictions currently.
@@MarionFR I agree with your sentiments. What I’m trying to say is if Gaming is weaker Xiangling, then just replacing him with Xiangling and buffing her would make a better performing team. Which isn’t balanced. An on-field dps will bring restrictions to the team. Losing the freedom to switch, higher team energy requirements, and maybe more difficult mechanics. Don’t get me wrong. I like playing around restrictions and think it’s fun, but I want to feel rewarded for doing so.

As for building, it's EASIER to make her work by just stacking ER than optimizing various stats on characters like Yunjin or Thoma to get value that makes them worth putting on your team. They're really power creeping this year with Neuv, Furina, and Ga Ming. It's cool now but in a few months when the abyss DPS checks get a lot higher it's going to suck.
It's normal for games to get harder as we progress hence power creep is needed or else it will just be a repetitive abyss, most people complaining are the ones that also complain we don't have good end game content 🙄

Well only day1 testings will tell, koz we have no idea yet if he will be able to vape all his hits koz xianyun also does a coordinated anemo attack when u plunge. If he cant vape his hits its a big L, if he can its a big W. Im very sus about this, solo furina doesnt tend to apply enough hydro in vape teams (and the xianyun coordinated attacks will weaken the hydro aura ever more), and if you lose the hydro aura your dmg tanks.
Heizo's overall numbers were very bad, everybody was hyped for the unique gameplay. Having screenshot damage of one E cast is not impressive overall numbers wise.
Not really. Of we are putting him at c2 5* level then you also include c2 xianyun since they will be on the same banner. By that point, yeah, he is better. Her weapon is also pretty much his r1
I wouldn't say that pulling a c6 4* is exactly comparable to a c2 5*, as 50% chance for c2 5* is around 280 pulls, where at that same number the chance for a c5 4* is around 85%(c5 because you get free lantern rite gaming). Great video though, really enjoying the content.
The funny thing is if you go all in on C6 Gaming you're pretty likely to get C2 Xianyun as well, which is a very dmg boost. Honestly not sure what I'll aim for. Going for C0 Xianyun at least (no pity on 50/50, plenty of wishes saved). Then I think I'll do some building and testing before going for cons. I've also got C6 Kazuha who should be fun with Xianyun. Not sure if I want to go for Xianyun and Gaming cons over other characters/weapons yet, It'll depend on how much I like their game play.
He pretty much an experimentation character that rely on Plunge attack and it seems the kit design are pays off well. It's really nice we have three 4* character already good enough at c0 in Fontaine patches and at least player that already have all 4 start Liyue character currently or just want him can get him free next patch.

Its because she's a dedicated Wanderer support. She will always be there in his banners. Getting C2 Wanderer is like getting C6 Faruzan as well. For him its understandable. It become an issue when this also assumed for Xiao and other 4*. Apparently 5* are a cost because you have to pull for them specifically as if 4* werent the same. You don't get C6 4* for free, you have to pull on banner whether you're pulling specifically or not its not coming unless you dirty your hand in the pull banner which is where this makes them no different from 5* then. Unless the characters are Xiangling and Xingqiu who got for/given free, lantern rite and starglitter which can garantee them in 2-3 years. Anyone else is dumb. Heck if you're going to use such reasoning how about having standard banner 5* also cost 0 just like 4*? The cost doesn't even serve some purpose sometimes for example. Double hydro Zhongli for Hu Tao will be 3 cost counting her, Yelan and Zhongli. Issues comes when this team is weaker than 2 cost variant like kicking Zhongli for Xiangling, Sucrose, Fischl. Or just using any other shielder like Thoma/Layla to get performance relative to it. Which what some 0 cost national team abuse. Yelan over Xingqiu won't be an upgrade neither would Kazuha over Sucrose. So while the team flag itself as 0 cost, 1 or 2 cost does nothing for it, the performance is the same, outside 5* weapon. People are already abusing this logic on C6 Chevreuse for Raiden and Lyney claiming its 1 cost.
I don't expect to be revolutionary, but I just hope he works well with Chongyun. I'm thinking on Gaming, Chongyun, Xianyun and Furina. Where Xianyun would VV Hydro for Furina DMG, Chong would allow cryo plunges from Gaming and his E would always Melt. If this team pass abyss (just like I could with Heizou without Faruzan C6), I'll be happy xD

Why in the comparison are you using furina Bennett and cr for gaming, but use double hydro+Kazuha for hu tao? Wouldn’t it make more sense to use hu Taos strongest dps team instead? If so then hu tao would be considerably stronger than Gaming
I used what to me is the best team for general play with hu tao. There are stronger ST variants, but the kazuha one is the best in aoe to me and since gaming's team is also kinda good in aoe, it made even more sense to me

If ur farming marechaussee anyway, might as well build him, he's a liyue character so u prob already have enough mats lying around. Though that assumes u have his c6. If ur only planning on pulling until u get Xianyun u might not get him to c6. But if ur planning to c6 him specifically u might also get c2 Xianyun in which case Gaming's dps also shoots up massively.

If you count xianyun c2 since she is on the same banner then possibly. He was saying it wasn't equivalent but... xianyun is on his banner and chances are he will be bound to her so, if you are going for his c6 chances are you will probably get her c2 too. Her r1 is also pretty much his sig as its buffs are for him

Not only that, his signature may aswell be her signature as it's effect is pretty much his. Gaming is an insanely powerful 4*. If you c6 him and get c2 xianyun on the way then he is just lol worthy. He is so insanely strong that with xianyun c2+r5, c3 furina, c6 noblesse skyward ben and c6 redhorn mariachi gaming breaks 5 million dmg a rotation with pretty much max rate at whale level. He will rely on cloud and her wep to reach his max dmg at any investment level. The 4.3/4.5 million figure is assuming 4 e plunges, 4 normal plunges and team personal dmg.
I won't pull him because I'm going to ve saving for Lyney c2. He shall always be my pyro dps, purely because he's my all time favorite and he's fun to play. Its interesting how good he's looking, but take all this with a grain of salt. They might nerf him like they did cloud retainer. I hope not, but still
You won’t have to pull for him, he’s a four star from Liyue, we’ll get him for free during the Lantern Rite. The thing is, he’s just average if not bad if you don’t have all the necessary constellations & supports for him. He wouldn’t be great without his own C6, Xianyun, Furina & C6 Bennett, and that list alone makes investing into him pretty unreasonable.

Bennett's C6 doesn't matter because you should be buffing his enhanced plunges already with Bennett burst and Bennett's buff will just run out at the same time Xianyun does. It's only good for the 15% damage bonus.

Its more the equivalent of c6 faruzan or c6 gorou but for a support. If you are going for her c2 you get rewarded with c6 gaming too and at that point you get one of the best dps(at c2 5* level)

considering how long it could take to C6 a new 4star if you're not whaling, i'm not too interested in learning about his c6 potential, not to mention getting constellations for CR. Maybe part of that is me not using 4star carries much at all.
Also a pretty big part most TC'ers keep leaving out is that his E has a significant travel distance and poise break, and unlike Hu Tao you can't just jump cancel it which means actively staying in/keeping enemies within Bennet's circle is going to be an absolute nightmare after your first or second plunge. Or a better way to think of it, imagine if Xiao had to press E before every single plunge, it makes the current headache of circle impact that much worse.

The "Most 5* Carries" probably does not refer to the good ones instead it's the ones like Raiden, Eula,Cyno,Ayato,Ayaka etc.

You're right, C6 4* are generally the same cost as C2 5*s, yet CN speedruns treat C6 Faruzan as 0 cost. I always found that unfair

Apparently 5* are a cost because you have to pull for them specifically as if 4* werent the same.
You don't get C6 4* for free, you have to pull on banner whether you're pulling specifically or not its not coming unless you dirty your hand in the pull banner which is where this makes them no different from 5* then. Unless the characters are Xiangling and Xingqiu who got for/given free, lantern rite and starglitter which can garantee them in 2-3 years. Anyone else is dumb.
Heck if you're going to use such reasoning how about having standard banner 5* also cost 0 just like 4*?
The cost doesn't even serve some purpose sometimes for example.
Double hydro Zhongli for Hu Tao will be 3 cost counting her, Yelan and Zhongli.
Issues comes when this team is weaker than 2 cost variant like kicking Zhongli for Xiangling, Sucrose, Fischl.
Or just using any other shielder like Thoma/Layla to get performance relative to it.
Which what some 0 cost national team abuse.
Yelan over Xingqiu won't be an upgrade neither would Kazuha over Sucrose.
So while the team flag itself as 0 cost, 1 or 2 cost does nothing for it, the performance is the same, outside 5* weapon.
People are already abusing this logic on C6 Chevreuse for Raiden and Lyney claiming its 1 cost.
I don't expect to be revolutionary, but I just hope he works well with Chongyun.
I'm thinking on Gaming, Chongyun, Xianyun and Furina. Where Xianyun would VV Hydro for Furina DMG, Chong would allow cryo plunges from Gaming and his E would always Melt.
If this team pass abyss (just like I could with Heizou without Faruzan C6), I'll be happy xD
It’s only his E and his NAs would do no damage then, when you have Xianyun there isn’t really a reason to NA anyways so chongyun is kinda useless
Gaming skill can't be overwritten by other infusions it'll always be pyro so you can only vape or melt while using his skill.

I used what to me is the best team for general play with hu tao. There are stronger ST variants, but the kazuha one is the best in aoe to me and since gaming's team is also kinda good in aoe, it made even more sense to me

If ur farming marechaussee anyway, might as well build him, he's a liyue character so u prob already have enough mats lying around. Though that assumes u have his c6. If ur only planning on pulling until u get Xianyun u might not get him to c6. But if ur planning to c6 him specifically u might also get c2 Xianyun in which case Gaming's dps also shoots up massively.

If you count xianyun c2 since she is on the same banner then possibly. He was saying it wasn't equivalent but... xianyun is on his banner and chances are he will be bound to her so, if you are going for his c6 chances are you will probably get her c2 too. Her r1 is also pretty much his sig as its buffs are for him

Gaming is an insanely powerful 4*. If you c6 him and get c2 xianyun on the way then he is just lol worthy.
He is so insanely strong that with xianyun c2+r5, c3 furina, c6 noblesse skyward ben and c6 redhorn mariachi gaming breaks 5 million dmg a rotation with pretty much max rate at whale level. He will rely on cloud and her wep to reach his max dmg at any investment level.
The 4.3/4.5 million figure is assuming 4 e plunges, 4 normal plunges and team personal dmg.
I won't pull him because I'm going to ve saving for Lyney c2. He shall always be my pyro dps, purely because he's my all time favorite and he's fun to play.
Its interesting how good he's looking, but take all this with a grain of salt. They might nerf him like they did cloud retainer. I hope not, but still

You won’t have to pull for him, he’s a four star from Liyue, we’ll get him for free during the Lantern Rite. The thing is, he’s just average if not bad if you don’t have all the necessary constellations & supports for him. He wouldn’t be great without his own C6, Xianyun, Furina & C6 Bennett, and that list alone makes investing into him pretty unreasonable.

Bennett's C6 doesn't matter because you should be buffing his enhanced plunges already with Bennett burst and Bennett's buff will just run out at the same time Xianyun does. It's only good for the 15% damage bonus.
You're using c6 Bennett's pyro infusion so that you're able to weave in pyro infused plunges in between his skill plunges.

@@cubation9254 I'm referring more to people pulling his cons on his first banner. Instead of 6 Gaming copies, you only need 5. Maybe even 4 if the rumors about there being a free Gaming (separate from the Liyue 4* selector) in 4.4 Lantern Rite is real.
considering how long it could take to C6 a new 4star if you're not whaling, i'm not too interested in learning about his c6 potential, not to mention getting constellations for CR. Maybe part of that is me not using 4star carries much at all.
Also a pretty big part most TC'ers keep leaving out is that his E has a significant travel distance and poise break, and unlike Hu Tao you can't just jump cancel it which means actively staying in/keeping enemies within Bennet's circle is going to be an absolute nightmare after your first or second plunge. Or a better way to think of it, imagine if Xiao had to press E before every single plunge, it makes the current headache of circle impact that much worse.
