Bike sounds great. Some tight trails for sure.
Thanks for some commentary n nice ride 👍🏽👍🏽
thank you for watchin, ill try and do more, just need to get better at it
@@PNWSingleTrack you will do just fine buddy 👍🏽
I'm 52 and 6' tall and I have exactly the same bike. 17' 250x. My mods are an oversized 3 gallon tank, gripper seat cover, rekluse clutch, flex bars, fmf pipe n turbo core silencer, bulkier pegs, better gear shifter and more reachable rear break lever
nice video, currently looking for a good Mic myself
Personally I ride a xtrainer on those tight single tracks. I do ride with a guy that has the same bike as you with a similar set up. I never get see him ride, just waiting for me at trail intersections. I'm not slow, my bike is modified. I'm just happy he burns Klotz so I can smell what direction to go.
Just follow the scent LOL. i like that. I've heard good things about those xtrainers!
You should do a comparison video with the YZ, YZF, and WR!
I want to do that in the future. I'm used to 2strokes, so might not be the fairest comparison haha.
I have a 2021 yz250fx, and a 2009 wr250f maybe we could collaborate and do a side by side comparison video?
Awesome video! Are you out at tahuya?
maybe 😅
Hi, did you notice a fuel mileage improvement with the lectron carb?
Yes, they say online it's pretty noticeable and I definitely noticed it too.
do you have any issues with clutch drag (e.g. bike in-gear, clutch pulled in but the bike doesn't want to idle without stalling)?
Sometimes. It's all in the clutch adjustment I've found out. Tighten the cable with the adjuster and it fixes it. My brother and father's, wr and fx have it pretty bad no matter the adjustment though.
@@PNWSingleTrack Had the same problem with my 250fx, changed out to ProX steels in the clutch and fixed it. You can also try soaking the frictions for a couple days, they seem to get sticky when they sit compressed.
whats your jetting on the bike
Got a lectron smart carb. If you have the stock carb I know a lot of people run the Suzuki needle and such. There is a lot of info online
Is this a good starter bike for a 6 foot 190 pound adult?
Yeah, this bike is a great starter bike and very versatile.
@@PNWSingleTrack awesome thank you. I have been riding since I was a little kid but only four-wheelers. I have a 2016 Honda TRX 250 now and love it, but I want to get a yz250x and start there
@@codystempka7407 it's a great place to start. And the bike is awesome stock.
@@PNWSingleTrack do you recommend a new one? Or should I try to find a used one?
@@codystempka7407 depends on how much you wanna spend. I see it like this, I bought the yz250x for 5500$ and I think it arguably performs close to the new ktms and high end Enduro machine for a faction of the price. If you have the money to spend I personally would get a beta 300 rr. But that what's great about the yz it's the budget enduro monster.
Does your yz ever have a hanging idle
What do you mean by that? i think i know what you're talking about
@@PNWSingleTrack like does your bike ever idle little high for a few seconds before returning to normal idle.
@@matthewlidel4324 maybe a little. Nothing abnormal
Love Yamaha but for me no estart is a complete deal breaker😢
Im never in a spot where im was like, "damn i wish i didnt have to kick start right now." other than being lazy. But i feel ya.
