My head canon for the updated zombies is that, while the virus has been in Haran for a while, Crane shows up late in the process. Everyone who is still alive is running out of food and medicine and other perishable items; they're getting desperate and the zombies and special infected are honing in on them. Plus, Crane is killing a lot of Rais' men and bandits who are getting reanimated as infected. And in 7:58 you can hear his cynism and malice in his voice too. Crane is taunting him before he finishes him off. Two different sides of the same coin
Fun fact I think when you are around normal zombies and you've set off an explosion you can actually see the zombies get turned into virals because the explosion was so loud that eardrum exploded causing a loud ring pushing out blood. I think because of that loud ring it causes to activate adrenaline mode and hypersensitive that they also know where you located and are hyper aggressive until you're dead.
I'm spanish and i never tried the game with voices on english, i always said spanish was better but after seeing the english version of Tahir's death made it 10x times better than Spanish. Colder, enraged... Jeez that was top tier voice acting right there. 🌟🌟
I honestly hope that they put in the dynamic day and night cycle into Dying light 2 and the weapon degradation in as well, like they had for Dying light.😊
I think the virals resembles rahim and jade after you beat the game, i know that there is a lot of models but i am sure that they do it intentionally to triggers memories
thats one thing, the other thing is at the start zzombies look like they got infected while the city was falling down and at the end there are more zombies that look like survivours you see in game
They do it because those specific models are stronger than the other models and those stronger models resemble jade and rahim simply because of budget, not to trigger memories. Dying light didn’t have a very good budget so they reused tons of assets. Can’t imagine what this game would’ve been if it had gotten a far bigger budget. They probably would’ve just continued updating this game rather than moving on to the sequel.
zombies changing is really cool. Starts out with random people & ends in virals being Tower people while street zombies are Rais people mixed with soldiers.
I modded a "Sniper Rifle" (I basically gave the rifle with a red dot magnifier about x3 zoom) Anyways you gain more points from a kill, the closer you are to an enemy. If you are sniping at a distance the points rewarded are worth far less.
I also noticed that when the sun starts to set all the walkers will look up at it and seem to forget about everything including the player even if you start running circles around them (idk if this was already known but my dumbass took until my third run to notice it)
4:34 - you only have the chance to save the kid DURING that quest. It won't appear again in any other context as it is not like other random events in the game. 7:24 - this is to give the player a more accurate perception of what a "boss" looks like, this technique is frequently used by FromSoftware in their boss characters.
The only thing I did was at 5:26 I want to experience the explosion that the developer work hard for and boy that was so cool and I'm glad i looked back
The antenna thing is like a typical zombie survival game mission of trying to restore communication in the area. I'm nearly finished with my playthrough of the base game and I legit didn't notice that subtle detail that the static clears up after you fix the antenna.
the day night cycle is just so much better with it being dynamic, with 2 sure its dynamic but they did it in a way where its kinda static as opposed to the skybox actually moving like here in DL1
Yeah but I also get it with dying light 2, I mean I hate that the sun just teleports through out the sky at certain times, but techland said that the reason for that is for the lighting, they said that having the sun and moon stay in place let's them give better realistic lighting wheras if it was constantly moving (like in dying light 1) then the lighting wouldn't be as consistently good, which makes sense as sometimes in dying light depending where the sun moved it made it very hard to see things at daytime as either it was in your face blinding you or it was hidden behind a building making it dark, wheras dying lighr 2 they have different light maps baked into the different stages of where the sun is, so every few hours in game when it hits certain time and the sun teleports it loads up the new baked in light map to try and give more consistent lighting
wow, i love how the surrounding cities don't give less of a shit about the poor souls in the QZ. But then when THV gets out, oh noe! It's a clusterfuck XD another great video as always
The zombie changes were pretty interesting for me. I spent thirty hours playing before the airdrop mission, trying to do everything I possibly could, go any place I could, before starting the day and night cycle, and the changes from just doing a couple of main quests after that are striking. Infamy bridge, which was a cake walk, becomes hell, and hordes that were easy to destroy before become incredibly deadly.
THIS shit look like it’s own version of a MK PIT level fight😆😆😆! Addendum😏: You even got the sun OUT in THIS instance of the scene in STEAD OF the MOON😆!
Your one of my favorite TH-camrs because i actually love dying light 1 and 2 and seeing a TH-camr actually play dying light with mods and show off secrets
I wish you could get near the edge of the quarantine zone and see guards or soldiers or something other then just a wall because you're telling me volatiles didn't just rush that city lol
i honestly believe there’s a theory here, at the beginning of the game the enemies are like basic citizens and construction workers and towards the end the zombies are like boxers, athletes, soldiers and even the quarantine workers.
I like how the models of zombies change towards the end. You see more zombified versions of Rais’ men, and the virals have the appearance of survivors/other runners, showing the events of the game taking its toll on those who were trying to survive the outbreak long term
I do remember noticing the radio being crystal clear when we repaired the antenna but these details are just crazy. Just another reason why this is my all time favorite ❤ gotta replay this shit again now that I'm on ps5
The weapons actually look even more different when you repair them. There are a few exclusions tho, like Korek Machete which looks same all the time, only with more blood on it, if I remember correctly.
Dying Light 1 is easily the best zombie game ever existed, so many memories with it i swear. I spent so many hours when i was a damn 16 year old kid, turning 22 in 3 hours
When I first played Dying Light 1 I did not realize that entire game takes place in a small quarantined city, I thought everything in the world went to shit like every zombie stories
I have found quite a lot of glitches on my own and one of them is a flying glitch. Although it is a bit harder to fly with, it is less complicated. You need to be able to jump off enemies and have the grapple hook for it. What you do is you run up to an enemy, (needs to be an enemy so you can grapple hook them) so you run up to an enemy, and jump off them and grapple hook at the same time and sometimes it can take a couple tries
Anybody remember that tunnel run from DL2 where you run with a flashlight and they just keep coming and coming from all different sides?? man it gave me nightmares for quite sometime 😅
no everyone is still alive outside the quarantine in the beginning, i mean that’s how crane was sent in. spoilers: also at the end of the following DLC when u become the night hunter, u can see crane coming out of the sewer system and it leads directly into the uninfected town

Lmao same for 9$, thought about getting dl2 when it was 30% off but honestly she watching dl2 gameplay is not even worth 30% off
5:06 I love the way crane changes his voice too be more passive tone he is the goat too kids
I think because of that loud ring it causes to activate adrenaline mode and hypersensitive that they also know where you
located and are hyper aggressive until you're dead.
if that's true that's a great notes u have
If you repair a weapon you can see the metal put on it to hold it together
This game was on another level. A level its successor isn't.
I'm spanish and i never tried the game with voices on english, i always said spanish was better but after seeing the english version of Tahir's death made it 10x times better than Spanish. Colder, enraged... Jeez that was top tier voice acting right there. 🌟🌟
True. I was pretty impressed by Crane's voice acting
Brazilian is pretty cool, besides some technical issues
@@roxinim6479 i need to try brazilian one day.
Of course it all matters on the respective actor, im sure in many games the Spanish actors are much better
@@james5076 borderlands 2 and 3 are comedic masterpieces.
in the 3rd person Rais fight, I never noticed how boxy Kyle's arms are.
Thanks for the video, it really tickled my fancy now that I’ve finished the game.
I honestly hope that they put in the dynamic day and night cycle into Dying light 2 and the weapon degradation in as well, like they had for Dying light.😊
cant tell if this is satire or you being fr
Is this a joke? They did add that.
Boy do I have news for you buddy
Oh brother this guy 😂
Those in the comments no they didnt add dynamic sky.
@@adamrozpedowski4831 ah yes now it make sense, the military zombies was survivor for some time and then they fails
Just goes to show the level of detail is insane.
Here's a thought. Just imagine how scary it must be to live just outside the quarantine zone. You'd probably hear Volatiles shrieking every night!
That background music realy helped with the eerieness of the zombie infested Haran it kept me on my toes
I remember seeing the city lights at night for the first time, I couldn't help but smile while also feeling so alone and excited all at once
those dancing zombie scene is a fever dream
It’s jarring how Dying Light 1 has less and simultaneously more features than the sequel. The zombies don’t even watch the sunset in 2.
I modded a "Sniper Rifle" (I basically gave the rifle with a red dot magnifier about x3 zoom)
Anyways you gain more points from a kill, the closer you are to an enemy.
Truly one of the best zombie games of all time
The only thing I did was at 5:26 I want to experience the explosion that the developer work hard for and boy that was so cool and I'm glad i looked back
The antenna thing is like a typical zombie survival game mission of trying to restore communication in the area. I'm nearly finished with my playthrough of the base game and I legit didn't notice that subtle detail that the static clears up after you fix the antenna.
4:35 also I'd like to mention, this scene was also in the trailer gameplay of Dying Light before it came out
3:22 Crane: I don`t need helicopter to escape Harran, I am helicopter!
the day night cycle is just so much better with it being dynamic, with 2 sure its dynamic but they did it in a way where its kinda static as opposed to the skybox actually moving like here in DL1
@ashleybarnes9343 it's no excuse the lighting in 1 was more realistic
@@DayMan.. I never said it was a excuse, I was just stating the reasons they gave us
I remember that the airdrop mission saving the kid thing was in one of the the original trailers
wow, i love how the surrounding cities don't give less of a shit about the poor souls in the QZ.
6:20 it looks like a drunks men are fighting😂
but still good
lol Fr
Especially at 6:31 💀💀 that spin bruh
THIS shit look like it’s own version of a MK PIT level fight😆😆😆!
Addendum😏: You even got the sun OUT in THIS instance of the scene in STEAD OF the MOON😆!
Your one of my favorite TH-camrs because i actually love dying light 1 and 2 and seeing a TH-camr actually play dying light with mods and show off secrets
The amount of love they put into DL1 is so much more obvious after DL2😢
That moment you finally beat Tahir is the best. So many games leave this kind of character alive to “suffer” or whatever. Crane don’t give a fuck.
I wish you could get near the edge of the quarantine zone and see guards or soldiers or something other then just a wall because you're telling me volatiles didn't just rush that city lol
proof you can really tell if a developer love their game. sad the old team not there to make dying light 2
i honestly believe there’s a theory here, at the beginning of the game the enemies are like basic citizens and construction workers and towards the end the zombies are like boxers, athletes, soldiers and even the quarantine workers.
Wow didn't know you could watch the building blow up
I like how the models of zombies change towards the end. You see more zombified versions of Rais’ men, and the virals have the appearance of survivors/other runners, showing the events of the game taking its toll on those who were trying to survive the outbreak long term
8:11 that’s just so cold 🥶
Batman came out at the end there
Me accidentally going down two steps down the stairs: Incapacitated foot for a few minutes
Crane casually falling a skyscraper height onto a car:
I do remember noticing the radio being crystal clear when we repaired the antenna but these details are just crazy. Just another reason why this is my all time favorite ❤ gotta replay this shit again now that I'm on ps5
When jade and crane scene
The lights from cities outside the quarantine is a nice touch.
it must be really creepy living in that city in universe. obviously being in the quarantine is worse but you know
@abbcc5996 Yeah, bro, like living with your concern that it might come to you next is something scary.
The original soundtrack gets me so hyped up.
“Because you’re not the kind of loose end you leave untied” is still such a cold line
the third person thing got me. And that its not a thirdperson game, but cyberpunk devs says "uhhh impossible to do this"
Dying Light is a certified masterpiece
This game had the best soundtrack. Still listen to it till this day
This is such a great game.
LOL...the team that made Dying Light 2 had to make it more like Dying Light in order to make it better.
E3 is better in dying light 2
I love the lore to this game so much. Sometimes when I get in the mood to play this game I just go to the top of the tower and look around lmao.
We also see Tahir in the intro right after the parachute jump, he beats us up along with the bandits
The weapons actually look even more different when you repair them. There are a few exclusions tho, like Korek Machete which looks same all the time, only with more blood on it, if I remember correctly.
3:35 imagine you are a zombie passing by and you see your prey just starts levitating up to the sky
Never noticed how every zombies is basically bald
Dying Light 1 is easily the best zombie game ever existed, so many memories with it i swear. I spent so many hours when i was a damn 16 year old kid, turning 22 in 3 hours
I noticed all of these details because the game does a great job showing and explaining this stuff thru dialogue and lore
imagine playing video games and living normally when there is a Zombie Outbreak at less than a 10 mile away hidden from the governement.
When I first played Dying Light 1 I did not realize that entire game takes place in a small quarantined city, I thought everything in the world went to shit like every zombie stories
That final cutscene has my palms sweating, again!
The thing about Dying Light is that most of its epic moments are real time and thats why most people miss them
8:13 still one the most badass lines I’ve ever heard in a video game!!
The amount of times Ive been in that little building and never stumbled on the dancing zombie easter egg
Idk if anyone noticed, but the virals you encounter are former runners of the tower. You can tell by the way they're dressed
The mocap do be funny tho (has human fall flat physics)
EDIT: Crane obtained the survivor sense after being infected
looking at this after 800 hrs of dying light 2 this game still finds ways to out do its sequel and its amazing
Anybody remember that tunnel run from DL2 where you run with a flashlight and they just keep coming and coming from all different sides?? man it gave me nightmares for quite sometime 😅
I always got confused with people turning on the lights. I thought everyone was dead
no everyone is still alive outside the quarantine in the beginning, i mean that’s how crane was sent in. spoilers: also at the end of the following DLC when u become the night hunter, u can see crane coming out of the sewer system and it leads directly into the uninfected town
I mean, right at the beginning, the game, it explains that you're in a quarantine zone....
With the city lights, it's interesting to think that civilization is still functioning outside of the quarentine zone. But here you are, fighting desperately for your life every night.
