Dying Light was such an approach to the zombie genre that 9 years later is still looking fresh and good. God, I miss the first time I played it 😅
Playing it for the first time. It's one of those games that you get lost inside from day one.
and it has such a unique feeling. i have never felt it.
and the new DLC gave it another feeling and was still great.
+ they kept updating that game for years.
i havent played it yet but i cant wait to play it
They've just updated DL2 with guns and it feels pretty good now too. Not as solid as DL1 yet, but it still is a lot better than what we get today from games. They're still updating it, so who knows?
For those who haven't played DL1, it has... the zombie apoc atmosphere that feels most realistic. There are overcast days, but also mostly sunny days where it's bright and colorful. In most zombie games they use dark lighting to set the atmosphere, but DL shows that the weather doesn't care if humanity dies, it's still gonna be sunny and bright. That kind of Bright Apocalypse we don't often see in media, and it really enhances DL's feel. It also makes the nights darker, since it's such a contrast.
I recently bought it and got sucked in for this whole past week, have like 50 hours trying to 100% it rn

I love how the infected stare at the sun setting, it lends so much mystery to the lore, really gets you thinking..plus, it's creepy as hell, so cool.

Dying light 1 is honestly one of my favorite games of all time, in 10 years hearing it's soundtrack will fill me with nostalgia
I like how they animate Crane's mouth moving even though that's something you would never see.

Dead Island was my first zombie game and I had searched for something to close the gap of there not being a sequel, and then I found Dying light. Genuinely one of the best games to be ever made.
The amount of hours this game took from me I was so addicted, finding everything. The outfits too. What a amazing time of my life that was because of this game.

I remember when i first moved over from xbox 360 to xbox one, this was one of the first games to feel 'next-gen' to me. In many ways it still does!
I've beaten this game like actually 10 times and to this day is still one of the best zombie games to date. So much replay ability, new encounters and stuff that you'll find every run, and no matter how old this game gets I swear the way they did the graphics will ALWAYS make sure this game is looking good

The volatiles in the antenna part of the map never happened to me when i interacted. I didnt know they all pulled up and jumped you. same with the sunset zombies
Did my first playthrough of Dying Light and the Enhanced DLC a few days ago :D it was a blast. This game looks and feels absolutely amazing even tho it is quite old. I haven't played a better zombie game yet and the ending of the following :O blew my mind

I love the original Dying Light, such a gem. sad Dying light 2 turned out how it did but it is what it is. Also i alerted the volatile nest the first time and second time i played through the game and was shtting bricks..... never knew you could just not alrert it lol.

I added the points that you can climb, you can also go there but with glitches and stuff like that
On the airdrop mission I took the E3 route to compare the 2013 gameplay to the retail game
man i didnt know you could climb the highway towers i just yelled "grappling hook" as i grappled up them along with every other climbable object in the game

DL1 is still better than DL2. I have through played DL1 several times on several platforms but DL2 just once. Shame they ruined it, upgrading a game doesn't always work.
