My love for IA never changed when Marcus took over on the vocals, if anything it grew even more for me. You should definitely check out Elysium, 2022 song of the year for me personally, incredible work

Didnt get into IA until Marcus took over I was a huge fan of white wolf but Ben's highs kept me from checking out the rest of their catalog..I can now appreciate their older music but it wouldn't have happened without Marcus.. plus Greyview is literally a perfect album
Everchanger and Stillworld are great, but new Invent Animate is their MASTERED form imo. Not really due to Marcus but due to their progression in songwriting and composition.
This song is easily the best of the three singles. Definitely looking forward to the album now.

also metalcore lows are trivial imo, when we have such monsters in deathcore whose range will blow any of these dudes out of the water lol

My favorite bands! I actually just got home from a We came as Roman's, Erra, and brand of sacrifice concert! I'll post up pictures and shorts of it tomorrow but holy shit was it amazing!

Thanks man I'm glad I'm not alone. I also have to add that I found everchanger when that album released so I felt like I found this hidden gem no one really knew about then to wait 4 years for a new album. I was pretty disappointed because it didn't even sound like the same band.

Ben's Lows were absolutely incredible.
Definitely felt the same way, Everchanger and especially Stillworld got me through harsh times. So finding out Ben left hurt a shit ton, and it was hard accepting that to some capacity. I would always be reluctant about listening to their new stuff cause it’d just remind me of what could’ve been.
But one day it just clicked, and I started to really appreciate Marcus, and fully realized that both him and Ben bring things to the table that the other doesn’t. They both represent their respective period of Invent Animate amazingly and I’ll always support the band no matter what.
Yeah I need to just bite the bullet and go for it and give myself the opportunity to just sit and listen.

That's awesome man! Saw ERRA a few weeks ago with We Came As Romans and they were so awesome! No songs off Augment though which I was really hoping for!

Stillworld is what introduced me to Invent Animate and I love Bens vocals so much, it was hard at first to get into Greyview at first but I really sat down and let my expectations go and listened to it intentionally and it really caught on with me. I think Marcus is a better overall vocalist but Bens lows are iconic. Marcus was def the best fit for this band. Luna, Celestial Floods, Monarch, As if it Never Was, and Immolation of Night are top teir
Yeah I'm kinda feeling the same way that I need to let my expectations go and just listen to it. I've been so biased because I can't get over the technical craftsmanship of those two albums with Ben.
I've seen some reactors saying this is there heaviest song and I think "but have you heard of luna?"the chorus breakdown for Luna when Ben screams brother? That kills me every time.
For me it was quite long path to get into Invent at first, all the three albums i kinda loved but at the same time i had to get into their vocals more. This is a band that has to click, and holy goddamn when they do, they automatically become your favorite band of all time!! I still prefer their stuff with Marcus, but Stillworld and Everchanger are still one of my favorite albums too. A few suggestions as you haven't listened to many songs with Marcus: Elysium, Shade Astray, The Sun sleeps, As if it never was, Hollow light, Eden. Those are my fav songs from Invent :)

Such a sick song right? Invent Animate used to be a struggle for me to get into but these latest songs have some insanely tight musicianship and hot damn did they bring the chunk! All around loving these new songs. Looking forward to the album! Great reaction haha

just subscribed man :) when i checked this song out on my channel i couldn't believe how heavy it was, i think i even said this reminded me more of everchanger than their last few releases! i love everything they've made though tbh

@@Killermcknight greyview is a gorgeous album, it still is able to have that same feeling those first two albums did, but it is definitely a lot different, especially with song structure
i love hollow light and secret sun a lot, they're not discussed much but they remind me of something off of stillworld, maybe give those two another chance!

Dude that's crazy! They fell off for you, but got better for me once Marcus joined. When Marcus joined it was like a switch was flipped for them and all their music since introducing Marcus has hit all the right spots for me personally
That's awesome man! I think a lot of it has to be fear of change maybe? but I listen to the band side by side from greyview to stillworld and it's like not even the same band lol I think their first two albums were just incredibly technical and the vocals. I will also like to add I started listening to them from their everchanger album when it released so I felt like I found a diamond in the rough that no one heard of before so I was a diehard fan for a long time so I think factoring in all that is what really turned me off I was like #notmyIA for awhile.
@@Killermcknight See, they've always had the beautiful ambience in the backgrounds of their music, but once Marcus joined I felt like they reaaaaaally honed in on the ambience and pulled it forward more.
That's what really hooked me in and started really falling in love with Marcus era of the band
I for one wasn't really a fan of the majority of Bens vocal work. His lows were great but that sing/scream of his was so grating to my ears. I still love Stillworld and Everchanger but primarily instrumentally. Marcus Vik on the other hand reinvogorated IA, in my opinion. It's clear now the band wouldn't be where there are without him.
Also I’d recommend diving deep into Greyview, the songs you’ve heard aren’t the BEST on the album.

I’m glad to hear someone with a similar opinion about Marcus. I absolutely love Everchanger and Stillworld, and when Marcus first joined the band I really didn’t think he was a good fit. I’ve tried getting into Greyview numerous times and honestly I still can’t do it. Instrumentally it’s fantastic, but the vocals really throw it off for me. They’ve done a better job incorporating him into the music, and I do enjoy some of the new songs, but I’m still not entirely sold on his voice. It sucks to say that.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. We're in the 5 stages of grief I think lol it's going to take me some time to get into the acceptance stage but overall this song in particular was really good. It's not fair to Marcus to discount what can be done in future albums. It took divisionary for me to really enjoy JT. House of glass was incredible.
I love IA so mich it is ridiculous. Made me stop listening to prog metal with no vocals only. Their vocalist is so amazing.
Greyview is way better than Stillworld, that album was a flop
