One of my favorite Fincher movies and the Oscar Winning Score was immaculate. Such great dialogue and acting especially by Andrew. I love that this movie doesn’t focus so much on Facebook, it’s more of a backdrop, but this movie does an amazing job of helping define an entire generation. Great reaction as always. 🎉
In the commentary Fincher always refers to them as characters, "The Zuckerberg character", "The Eduardo character", so on. This is not a bio pic or a documentary, some of the legal stuff and the hard facts are brought from the real world but these are fictional characters. It's a great movie.
This is Fincher's magnum opus. Much like "Goodfellas" is to Scorsese, the "The Social Network" might be the film most exemplary of Fincher's style. Its not my personal favorite, but this movie a masterpiece.

This movie is so freaking brilliant!! Aaron Sorkin’s script (as usual) is unbelievable. It feels like an action flick, but there’s no action. If you haven’t seen other work of Aaron Sorkin, he also wrote “Steve Jobs” and “Moneyball” (my favorite baseball related movie). Also the musical score is so good!!
I know the guy you pointed out as an extra in everything as a character in Chuck. Funny thing is that he's in the show so much, but he's basically an extra for the show as well lol
Happy to see you guys first time watching this film. One thing you forgot to mention is the writer, Aaron Sorkin. Some notable first time watches for later Zodiac (Fincher), Trial of the Chicago 7 (Sorkin), and Spotlight (2015).
If you want more you should go on a Sorkin binge after this Moneyball, Molly's game (which has Michael Cera playing Tobey Maguire) his Steve jobs movie not that god awful Kutcher version. Trial of the Chicago 7, Charlie Wilson's War.

Love this film, a great character feature. You guys should watch Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny if you haven’t seen it. It’s ridiculous and so fun. Might be Jack Black at his best.
So fun fact about the movie star from Harvard line. A lot of people speculate that it's Natalie Portman, but there is another. And it's the reason they didn't just say the name in the scene. Because they thought it would be too meta to say Rashada Jones with her sitting in the room playing Mark's lawyer lol.
Andrew Garfield is really good in "99 Homes". It's based on real events of families that have been evicted from their homes. Justin Timberlake has been in a couple movies I really like. "Alpha Dog" and "In Time". I feel they're worth a watch.
Watching "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo", the memory of Rooney Mara in "Social" completely vanished from my brain...until she painted her eyebrows back on near the end. Echoing that if you enjoyed this, another film you might enjoy watching is The Big Short. Very funny and very interesting dramatic take on the lead up to the financial crisis. The acting is superb, particularly of Christian Bale and Steve Carell.
The only problem I had with this movie is they portray the only reason mark wants to create facebook is to show up a girl that dumped him. Like the only reason people build cool stuff is to get girls. In reality Mark was in a long term relationship before he even started the site.
Going along with the same Genre, I highly recommend "The Founder", you need to watch that. With Michael Keaton, shows the beginning of McDonald's. It's pretty good.
Everything we see is from the transcripts of the deposititon. So how true or false things is will always be a he said she said. But the one problem the movie makes is taking liberty with the fact that he was already dating his wife at the point the movie starts. Problem was there needed to be some personal goal to be put in that would hammer home the last scene to make it more character focused. Don't get me wrong the movie is great and there is only so much you can do in 2 hours. If it had been made today it would have been a mini series and it would have focused more about how they were too busy "moving fast and break stuff." I certainly think Zuckerberg has the capacity to be ruthless in business. But unlike Jobs he wouldn't make it his life mission to make someone have a mental break down because they according to his standards said the wrong thing at the wrong time. Even people who enjoyed working for Jobs. Mainly did so because he created his own artsy technological Sparta that made them tougher. In big part because he needed them to be the best considering he had no actual idea how to do any of the things he wanted them to do. If technology hadn't gone through such a fast paced revolution in the 90s and 2000. Where his ideas became actually somewhat possible. Most people wouldn't know his name today.
If you love David Fincher, I highly recommend watching the “Zodiac” if yall haven’t seen it. exit the movie based on the true zodiac killer story from the 60s.
Whenever someone brings up Kevin Spacey, I always think about the movie “21”. It’s about Students at MIT who count cards in blackjack. I know it would be controversial, but you should do a reaction to it. Just like “The Social Network” it’s based on true events.

YOOO THIS IS A FREAKING TREAT! YOUR REACTING TO MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALLLLLL TIMEEEE!!!! HECK YEAH!!!
"he was so good in K-Pax" is the most Holden thing ive ever heard.
If you like biopics, you'll love _Weird._ It's the most accurate and touching biopic I've ever seen.
8:19 Holden’s response made me laugh so hard 😂
Please watch whiplash (2014) it’s amazing , Jk Simmons best role and miles teller
One of the best movies ever made and one of the first films that made me LOVE cinema
There are talks of a sequel which is very poetic that you guys are watching this.
Fun fact.
The guy who wanted to get in the bathroom was the body double for Armie Hammer. He was also young Ra’s in the dark knight rises.
I forgot that we saw a young Ra’s in tdkr
So, in this movie we have Spiderman, Lex Luthor, The Lone Ranger, Ras, and Madame Web
The dog on Jen's lap is so adorable!
one of my favorite movies, the conversation in the beginning of the movie was made just for the movie, Mark is supposedly married to that gal... IDK I just love this film
Sorkin wrote a Steve Jobs film too. It’s amazing.
You guys should watch Tick Tick Boom!
Another amazing movie Andrew Garfield is in
I don’t know if anyone has said this but they filmed it on the Johns Hopkins campus. The only reason why I know this is because I went to college there and I had to look it up and verified it.
Now these are the kind of films I'm here for. Genuinely a modern masterpiece
Imagine saying you're a big fan of Spacey's work and the first title you mention is K-Pax.
Its a good but for sure not his best
If you like this film, since it was written by Aaron Sorkin, you should watch Steve Jobs, also written by him
True story. Many years ago I came home from work and found a live chicken in my bathroom
Solid reaction, Holden and Jennifer. One of my favorite David Fincher films and one of my favorite movies ever. This should've won Best Picture but entertaining great film. Yes, that is Rooney Mara from Fincher's version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
It’s funny you say it’s weird seeing Andrew like this because this was a lot of people’s first introduction to him. Unless they watched Never Let Me Go a month before
Super underrated movie. Great acting and dialouge.
I love Jens shirt! Shoutout from Minnesota ✊🏻👌🏼
That chick you were drawing a blank on is Dakota Johnson and she was also in 50 shades of grey
Fun fact the lead singer for nine inch nails went to high school with my father
Please give the Star Trek franchise a chance. 🖖🖖🏻🖖🏼🖖🏽🖖🏾🖖🏿
Which era?
@@alexkramerblogs They don't have to watch everything! Maybe: top ten Classic episodes = Star Trek 1 to 6 = top ten "The Next Generation" episodes = Star Trek 7 to 10 = the three J.J. Abrams Star Trek movies? ✌️
@@martinbraun1211 i think the movies would be the best bet.
Good eye on Jen recognizing Rooney Mara being from “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”
"Trent Resin Or did the music. All I can think of is the guy who played the guy who invented Facebook. Who invented Facebook?
MARK ZUCKERBERG!"
One of my favorite films of all time. Love this film.
Really? So why did he build the site?
14:27 BOMBASTIC SIDE EYE!
4:40 The scene and the dialogue are fast paced because of Aaron Sorkin, not David Fincher.
Going along with the same Genre, I highly recommend "The Founder", you need to watch that. With Michael Keaton, shows the beginning of McDonald's. It's pretty good.
8:20 - "Is he eating canned tuna"
...I've never felt more disrespected in my life O_o
In real life, Saverin's shares actually diluted down from 30 % to 10 % instead of 0.03, but still, he and Mark went their separate ways after this
You should do Professor Marston and the Wonder Women. Since it’s biographical about the creator of Wonder Woman.
I love this movie I watched it so many times never gets old
Everything we see is from the transcripts of the deposititon. If it had been made today it would have been a mini series and it would have focused more about how they were too busy "moving fast and break stuff."
I certainly think Zuckerberg has the capacity to be ruthless in business.
Holy crap. I’ve only seen this movie, I think once, and I just realized Armie Hammer is both of them 😂
Let’s goooo more Aaron sorkin gotta watch Steve Jobs (2015)
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross contributed SO MUCH to this movie.
This is when the world got introduced to Andrew Garfield and wow what a first impression
LETS. GO. FINALLY.
