I use ACV one tblsp a day and I do intermittant fasting every day. I only eat one meal a day and in six month went from 240 lbs down to 212. Now I'm kissing 207!

I reversed my diabetes with low carb ketogenic diet. Improved my insulin sensitivity. When I eat carbs now I notice on my CGM my glucose comes down to baseline in about an hour.
Thanks for your story as I needed to know if that would happen to me too. I am going to experiment what you wrote. I find fasting incredibly powerful in lowering my glucose.
@@carolpreved6055 you are absolutely correct. Fasting will definitely help your body to use up glucose and improve insulin sensitivity. If you take glucose lowering medication you will likely have to reduce your dosage so watch your glucose levels so you don’t over medicate. Don’t believe anyone who says diabetes is a chronic irreversible disease. You can absolutely reverse it and many other conditions by eating the right foods. It’s known that eight of the leading causes of death in America are fundamentally rooted in impaired glucose metabolism and insulin resistance. Also know that carbs are not inherently bad for you, it’s the ultra processed carbs and sugar. Like the doctor stated, eat complex carbs. Stay away from fruits with high glycemic index. I stick with berries mainly.
Green Tea and Apple Cider Vinegar lowers my mg/dl numbers. I exercise several times a week too and just started 48hr fasting every week. I’ve been intermittent fasting for years.
I’ve tolerated drinking ACV on and off for years; lately I’ve been doing a high protein and high fat diet - after two weeks my taste buds changed and I could actually taste the apple in the ACV - it was like drinking sour apple juice and I liked it.

I was a Vegan for several years and because of oxalate toxicity I became very sick and had several surgeries to remove large kidney stones, a hysterectomy, tumors on the bottom of my feet and I attribute this, but didn’t find out for several years later, to oxalates in the food I was consuming. I’ve done Keto and lost a great deal of weight ..I just don’t like seafood and rarely eat chicken because of the way they are grown with an 8 week turnaround death rate which makes the chicken stringy - I do eat eggs from a local farmer and the meat I consume is also locally grown. I did a 7 day water only fast. Only with severe dehydration was my weight dropped. Drink water, back up. Day 8 showed not one pound lost. 10% of diabetics have rebound high blood sugar whenever it drops too low at night. We get those little black dots arround vision that say 'fainting fainting'. I was perfect on the water fast, no cheats. And never could fast again for some reason, by 12 hours terrible nausia, and losing consciousness symptoms. Not all bodies are the same.
@@charlanpennington3989did you make sure you properly hydrated with the water? Like adding salt and maybe taking magnesium so you get in your electrolytes. Just water if it’s not natural spring water is a bad idea.
On my 7 day, I did salt water fast with Light Grey , which is 20% better than Himalayan, which is 20% better than table salt. I had about 2 tall glasses of well water before I craved the salt water again.

Although my diet is less than perfect, I've learned through your videos that things don't always have to be perfect to be effective. Anyone who recommends the LCHF lifestyle deserves a thumbs up. Especially the ones with from the medical community. We certainly need more of those to correct the nutrition misinformation typically found.
I couldn’t disagree with you more. I did that for three months and it made me feel absolutely awful. Horrible cramps in my calves and really cranky. And kind of weird twinges in my liver area. I really think that it clogs up your liver over the long run it’s going to give you insulin resistance in the long run. Right now you’re feeling great because you don’t have any glucose spikes. Get some more vegetables into you.

Same here . But what made a huge difference was Chromium Picolinate supplement 200mcg (micrograms) very little. Take it everytime you eat . Great pancreas insulin regulator . Very inexpensive.
@@thomasengel1459 did u just recommend Apples and Mangoes for Diabetics? You are very ignorant. "Stop giving out terrible advice" - this applies to you directly
You're actually at a higher risk of your pancreas completely wearing out so you should avoid eating any fruits or grains at all. At least for a period of time to see if your body will bounce back. That's why you're thin. Insulin is a fat storing hormone and prediabetics usually have way too much but it just doesn't work such is why they tend to be fat. Type 1 diabetics and the thin prediabetics are the ones who don't produce the insulin they need which is why they're either losing weight or thin and can't afford too loose any.
Regardless of where you are on that journey everyone should have fasting INSULIN (not glucose) test done or C peptide and track insulin levels. This will show where your health really is in reality not theory vs how we do it in US where there’s “no issue” until you are diabetic. You want your insulin level to be 2-4. You won’t get flagged as diabetic until it’s over 25. That doesn’t mean we are not doing damage from decades of higher insulin. Just means we are doing it blindly. I thought I was super healthy freezing seasonal fruits to have year round smoothies. Yeah nope = non alcoholic fatty liver as fructose is terrible for our bodies.
@@genuineimpulse9134 I really appreciate your comment and I've never heard anybody put forward the numbers that you expressed in your post. I appreciate that very much! Where is an inexpensive place or means to get your fasting insulin levels done? The health fair that we have here and Wyoming doesn't cover or offer a fasting insulin reading, just a fasting blood sugar and A1c as far as diabetic concerns go. They offer plenty of other tests but not fasting insulin.
I have recently did a number of your suggestions and it does help. I have a lot more energy after only 2 weeks of making the changes. I’m still a work in progress but seeing how things are looking so much better motivate me to keep improving.
What worked for me was to cut dietary items one at a time. It was easy to sustain the changes because it was a gradual change. All cravings are gone. No more bread, pasta, rice, candy, ice cream, processed foods and others. I don’t miss them a bit. Feel great and getting more healthy everyday. And for the rare occasions I deviate from the plan, no problem either.
I've been doing that for four months. No sugar rice bread pasta bananas or beans. Nothing starchy. Sugar hides in alot of foods. It may be called fructose or sucrose. Stick to natural foods drink water and do what he says on here you'll be all set. Yes the sugar cravings go away
Yes intermittent fasting, Exercise, lowering your carb/sugar intake and Table spoon of Apple cider ginger helps Alot. Still a shame we can't live a normal life without being so careful about Everything we drink or eat.
Thank the FDA and the food industry for decades of bad food (dangerous ingredients, pesticides/herbicides, etc) and bad information. Apparently the more “advanced” we get, the dumber we get (as a society). Or more nefarious agendas are afoot possibly, but that’s a matter of opinion.
Tried that by not eating in morning until close to 12. Then I ate heavily and healthfully all afternoon and early evening. BUT I had very negative effect of losing weight, which I do not need to do! @@princessmundle100 absolutely, Princess! Start off by eating only 3 small meals per day. Make sure that it is high in good fats (coconut oil, olive oil, avocado, animal fat etc). Then slowly over the next week, start to squeeze these meals closer together by not going longer than 4 to 5 hrs between meals. Next comes the best part! Start to have your first high fat, medium protein, low carb breakfast early in the morning. Then, after another week, drop your 3rd meal of the day altogether. Then, over the following week or two, begin to have your 2nd (last!) meal of the day only 4 to 5 hours after your breakfast! This will give your digestive system a massive rest in order to kick in your parasympathetic nervous system and will ensure that you begin to tap into your fat reserves, especially in your mid section!! Make sure that you are eating absolutely NOTHING WHATSOEVER for 16 to 18 hours of the day, and you can easily reduce your insulin level dramatically over the following 2 months!!! You should then go to your doctor and check your insulin levels (not simply your blood glucose levels!) and ask them if it it okay to gradually reduce your insulin dosage. Before you know it, your dependency of insulin should be dramatically reduced and then (hopefully) eradicated altogether through the intermittent fasting you've been doing for the next few months!! But PLEASE REMEMBER... Make sure that you never go over 30 grams of carbohydrates per day, if not less! A zero carb diet will eventually be optimal for the absolute best results possible! But, remember to START Slow and gradually reduce your carb intake! Good luck with your lifestyle change, Princess!! BONUS : Do 20 minutes of walking 3x per week and some resistance weight training 2x per week for the absolute best outcome for your health, well-being and your future, but you can start to do this after getting through the first few weeks of beginning your diet!!!
Just recently I have found out that sugar and carbohydrates in general are among the most dangerous substances, although they do not look like that at first due to amazing ability of our bodies to stay in homeostasis like even some economies who can do despite bad processes going on. So, Since I started to watch my food and the way I absorb it I have started to improve physically and emotionally. Fasting, intermittent fasting, some exercise, positive thinking and possibly some meditation, good music and so on so forth, the results are coming and I feel lighter, more energetic and even some water tastes better. I had a simple turkey broth today and it made me feel so much healthier .I ate it with zero carbs. Although later I had a "healthy" drink with some sugar in it but I do not want to be absolute about anything. Still having said that I reduce sugar and other carbs knowing that this way improves my health and strength and good feeling all round. Healthy planet, healthy life, healthy people.

Key Points: 🔑 1. Slow down eating and reduce portion sizes, especially for higher carb meals. 2. Consider intermittent fasting as a powerful way to eliminate insulin resistance. 3. Incorporate cinnamon into your diet to help manage blood sugar levels. 4. Include healthy fats in your meals to help with portion control and reduce hunger. 5. Measure and monitor insulin resistance. 6. Engage in the right type of exercise to improve blood sugar levels and overall health. 7. Cut back on carbs and focus on a low-carb or ketogenic diet. 8. Consider the use of supplements like berberine and benfotiamine. 9. Incorporate apple cider vinegar into your routine for its potential benefits. 10. Maintain a healthy lifestyle, including exercise, positive thinking, and stress management. 11. Consider using Ceylon cinnamon for its potential health benefits. 12. Follow a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens for essential nutrients. 13. Seek medical advice on when to discontinue medication like metformin. 14. Be patient as results may vary and it may take time to see improvements in blood sugar levels. 15. Consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice and guidance.
Portion size is a major problem in the western world. We always hear that the stomach is a fist-and-a-half in size (not exact, but a close enough for illustrative purposes). Look at what a fist and a half looks like and compare it to the size of your meal. You're not designed to eat a platter-full at one sitting, yet most of us do.
When I first moved back to the US in the 90’s I couldn’t believe the amount of food ppl piled on their plate at the salad bar and that wasn’t even their main meal!
I've been doing a mix of ketovore for 2 + years with intermittent fasting. In my mid 50's and feel great. Went from 22% body fat to average of 10% body fat. When people ask me how I do it and I tell them they just look at me like I'm crazy and speaking alien. Most normies are indifferent and won't accept it.
Ya well most people cant even correctly count calories let alone tell you accurately what their Body Fat % is. How are yu having it measured? let me guess, you aren't, you think you can estimate it accurately yourself, lol! 10% body fat isn't even considered healthy for someone in their 50's! Given that you think the intermittent fasting is in some way aiding this (hint, it isnt) I highly doubt you are accurate!

Ceylon cinnamon is easily found in the Mexican spice section of the grocery store. Spanish label may say Canela molida for ground cinnamon. Easy way to include it in coffee: spoon cinnamon in with fresh coffee grounds, drip brew as usual through a brown paper filter.
I'd suggest cutting out all grains/breads/flours/tortillas/etc, all seed oils (soy/canola/corn/safflower/sunflower/grapeseed/etc, and almost all sugars. So, cut grains, seed oils, sugars. Then, you'll be eating ancestrally, eating the foods our bodies are evolved to process. Then you'll have improved health and probably greater longevity.

I'm going to try some of the things you suggested. I've been hovering right at the edge for close to a decade on A1C tests, then last year in the fall, I went over - not horribly, but I was not happy. I spent the winter in the Philippines, since I retired last summer, and since my beloved is there - and when I came back my A1C was back below the line by quite a bit. So I think maybe it was the fish heavy diet, despite the white rice. I prefer to be in good health both for myself and for him. Thank you Doctor. Your attitude is great. Kind thoughts and be blessed.
Please answer my question thank you What if you have insulin resistance but do not have diabetes and never had diabetes in your whole life. I am 73. In my blood test in November fasting blood sugar was 93 and postprandial was 76. After eating my insulin drives the sugar down significantly. My blood test in July was only fasting blood sugar and it was 93 again. I have been tested for diabetes since I was 5 years old because I have Frolichs disease and was severely overweight. I weighed 125 pounds at 5. My mother kept having me tested for diabetes throughout my youth because of my weight and I never ever had high blood sugars in my entire life even now at 73. How do you deal with insulin resistance when you do not have diabetes

on week 3 of keto. also walking and or 30 mins medium intensity exercise. works like a charm. 12 lbs in 18 days so far. my carb tolerance to both stay in mild to moderate ketosis is 20 grams per meal. I eat once or twice a day, as I have to lose 40 lbs more. my average blood sugar is 5.8, but i am getting readings before meals at 4.8 to 5.2. this is 3 points lower than last month. my whole problem was inactivity and stress from work. I retired, and focussing on my health. no need for anything else. my AIC was 7. it will be normal within 3 months. I've done this before, twice, and each time I went back to fat and IR/diabetes. this time I will stick to it for life. I"m 63, on HRT and energy is very low. getting old is the pits!
That's awesome just be careful with the rebound. Make sure you have a maintenance plan and exit strategy or you'll be setting yourself up for a terrible rebound.
I went carnivore, take cinnamon and apple cider vinegar. My bloodsugar hasn't been over 100 in months! My energy is level, brain fog is gone, libido is higher, and of course I've lost 45lbs. I'm happy that I discovered carnivore. Even eating whole grain bread or brown rice had my bloodsugar at 256 one morning. That day is the day I went carnivore and never looked back.
It’s so interesting how different people are. I couldn’t tolerate carnivore for more than two days. Too much meat gives me a stomach ache. Keto made me feel sick. Low-fat vegan works for me if it’s focus on Whole Foods and I just tried the glucose goddess method and that also works and it has a little bit better variety. Really interesting how we’re so different all of us
Finally the doctor knows what my grandmother knew. I'll be adding apple cider vinegar and test the theory; but I learned long ago NOT to eat a hi-carb breakfast. Love pancakes, but they always made me feel dull and bloated. Because I was sensitive to blood sugar drops, especially when I was pregnant, I learned to limit portions and not skip meals. Now low salt, sugar, even complex carbs are regulation - when I can afford foods that fit this model. Friends, don't be poor; it's harder to control the diet.
About 10 yearscago when I moved to my present City, my new Dr. ran comprehensive blood work. I was a mess. Many different things were way off, one being i was insulin resistant. He recommended a course on diet. With a few changes, cutting way down on sugar, and carbs, being the standouts. Within 6 months the only thing that I hadn't got under control was good cholesterol. It wasnt that difficult. Mostly moderation.
Thanks for the video Doctor.👍 Ur health videos was helpful; that i was able to help a friend who has type 2 diabetes. Continue posting ur video's, because it really interesting and helpful to people. Dr, when I wake in the morning with something on my mind I tell myself I'll think about it in an hours time. When the hour has passed, like magic - the problem doesn't seem to exist.
Best advice is to cut out all sugar and processed foods, cut your carbs to around 10 total daily. Eat plenty of healthy saturated fats and protein. I cut my A1C from 7.4 to 4.9 in 5 months by eating this way, I'm 73. I do eat salads sometimes.

Hello Doctor Ergin, I’ve been diabetic for 8 years now, and believe me, I follow these rules carefully. I’ve been avoiding carbs ever since I was first diagnosed with diabetes and in those first months my weight dropped from 58 to 50 kilos. I lost 8 kilos but my condition’s never got better. I’ve been taking Metformin 2x1000 units recently and my A1c is 7. I guess my situation is very different… I cannot lower my Blood-sugar no matter what… Tesekkurler, Toronto’dan sevgiler.
I have been a type 2 diabetic for 15 years and my spouse type 1 whole life. What we do is strictly limit complex carbs ( bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, most vegetables) We added back simple sugars, Gatorade, teriyaki, regular soda, twizzlers are my favorite. Sounds crazy right. But it works. Why, I believe that insulin resistance is caused from insulin not being used up. Complex carbs are broken down slowly constantly releasing sugar into the bloodstream, simple sugars are dumped into the blood stream and insulin already present in large quantity goes to work immediately. Good luck Hi
For your info, my friends who has gastric surgery told Not to drink fluids 30 min before a meal. Then only one hour after a meal they can drink fluids. I just started Mounjaro injections and inside its direction it also mentions as a warning a must to do that same "fluid/beverage" consumption rule, if not followed the medicine won't work well. So there must be something to Not drinking a beverage with a meal!

Its virtually impossible to find a brand that contains the same effective dosage per gram of supplement across product lots. DHB, which is a metabolite of Berberine does not suffer the same issue as it is synthesized therefor making it easy to control the potency!

Thanks for your story as I needed to know if that would happen to me too. I am going to experiment what you wrote. I find fasting incredibly powerful in lowering my glucose.
Mine too
@@carolpreved6055 you are absolutely correct.

Prolonged fasting is the key to EVERYTHING!! your body is not designed to eat all day...
You can do waterfast but you have to replace sodium pottasium and other electrolytes you pee out. Without them your body can't work right.
My hair started falling out so I quit the fasting.
@@charlanpennington3989did you make sure you properly hydrated with the water? Like adding salt and maybe taking magnesium so you get in your electrolytes. Just water if it’s not natural spring water is a bad idea.

I am an insulin-dependent diabetic and I commend you for this informational advice on contouring insulin resistance. ☺️
Great advice. I’m not diabetic but I’ve done this and kept weight off for years.
And you most likely prevented diabetes in the process!

Ya well most people cant even correctly count calories let alone tell you accurately what their Body Fat % is. How are yu having it measured? let me guess, you aren't, you think you can estimate it accurately yourself, lol! 10% body fat isn't even considered healthy for someone in their 50's! What if you have insulin resistance but do not have diabetes and never had diabetes in your whole life.
🇱🇰Thank you so much for the great lecture Doctor.. I am proud of being a Sri Lankan.. 🇱🇰
Thanks for sharing this video and the great information about fasting. Your technique is very easy to understand. Also your voice sounds very nice and not judgmental. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏
on week 3 of keto. also walking and or 30 mins medium intensity exercise. works like a charm.
I’m there with you on all of the above.

That's awesome just be careful with the rebound. Make sure you have a maintenance plan and exit strategy or you'll be setting yourself up for a terrible rebound.

Smart and workable suggestions. The right exercise is not only good for blood sugar levels it can actually lengthen your life,
First timer here, i came across your video in the feeds on YT, great video and information, I will be trying these options, Thank you
I am so glad that I found this channel I have learned so much!🙂
I went carnivore, take cinnamon and apple cider vinegar.

You should not eat any carbs for breakfast. Protein and fats only.
I started using acv and have had marvelous results! I can not agree more.
When do you take it and how often, please?
About 10 yearscago when I moved to my present City, my new Dr. ran comprehensive blood work. I was a mess. Many different things were way off, one being i was insulin resistant. He recommended a course on diet. With a few changes, cutting way down on sugar, and carbs, being the standouts. Within 6 months the only thing that I hadn't got under control was good cholesterol. It wasnt that difficult. Mostly moderation.
Very sensible list and is inline with modern research. Great list!
Interesting.i think im ready to do this because ive added some intermittent fasting already. Thank u for this channel
Thanks Dr. All what you said makes sense.
I just eat meat. I eat all I can till I am stuffed. I used to weigh 458 lbs. Today I am 284 and feel great!

I have found that Nattokinase and NAC have definitely been beneficial in lowering my insulin dosage almost by half
I second this. Serrapeptase is very strong too. I take Serrapeptase/Natto pill by itself in morning and another Nattokinase capsule at night. My BP is perfect now. 110 over 70. Used to be 150 over 90. Also feel very good and no need for lots of weird hunger issues

Best for who? Certainly not for me. Been there, done that. I'm back on a plant based diet and loving it.

For this one I watch it more than four times

Hello Doctor Ergin,
I’ve been diabetic for 8 years now, and believe me, I follow these rules carefully. I guess my situation is very different… I cannot lower my Blood-sugar no matter what…
Tesekkurler, Toronto’dan sevgiler.
Do you do any fasting? Curious about your diet and what carbs you have cut. I went from a 7.5 to a 6, and most recently a 5.3 A1c.
Fasting helped me tremendously
I have been a type 2 diabetic for 15 years and my spouse type 1 whole life.
What we do is strictly limit complex carbs
( bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, most vegetables)
We added back simple sugars, Gatorade, teriyaki, regular soda, twizzlers are my favorite.
Good luck
Hi
Thank you for the comments. Yes l also tried intermittent fasting, it didn’t help🤷🏻♀️
Try Berberine with the possibility of getting off Metformin
For your info, my friends who has gastric surgery told Not to drink fluids 30 min before a meal. Then only one hour after a meal they can drink fluids. I just started Mounjaro injections and inside its direction it also mentions as a warning a must to do that same "fluid/beverage" consumption rule, if not followed the medicine won't work well. So there must be something to Not drinking a beverage with a meal!
Thank you so much! for this I am doing a lot of these now! You ROCK!! Just can't seem to do the Intermediate Fasting though! but doing all the rest seems to work great for me Much appreciated!!
Love you Doctor thank you.God bless you ❤
Try having your main meal at lunch and the doctor's cinnamon tea recipe instead of dinner.
Eat breakfast by 11, dinner by 6pm, and that gives you 17 hours of intermittent fasting.
No advertisement here. The gym Orange Theory saved my life. It is an investment on your health. Loved it. I am 60 and my body has changed completely. And so did my blood glucose level. ❤️
@aurenitapedrazzi5036 Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm glad about your health improvement.
Thank you for this encouraging information! Never knew about white mulberry! I’ve been taking Berberine for a while and I’m going to start with the Ceylon Cinnamon too. Thank you so much. I’m going to have my wife watch this again with me in the morning.
Thanks again and God bless you sir!
Berberine is great. Thank you.
Not Berberine, Dihydroberberine. The biggest problem with berberine is the quality control. Its virtually impossible to find a brand that contains the same effective dosage per gram of supplement across product lots. DHB, which is a metabolite of Berberine does not suffer the same issue as it is synthesized therefor making it easy to control the potency!
