"...almost every angler has something valuable to teach another angler." That's a great philosophy. Glad you're back out fishing and making videos to teach the things you know. Keep up your good work!
The creatures you caught were all so HUGE! And the scales on the carp at night were beautiful in the lamp light! I understand why you find fishing so mesmerizing.
Thanks Matthew. Safe to say I won't be able to get down to N.C. for a bit. But I did see you get some nice flatheads on the Explorishing Adventures channel.
Carp fishing? Thats my specialty! What I have learned is that many baits will work, (I made jello flavored boilies too) but nothing beats corn and a circle hook on a hair rig. Carp like eggs, corn, bread and the color yellow. You would think Cornbread would be the ultimate bait (yellow/egg/corn/bread all in one) My best this year was 36 inches (posted on Inaturalist) Also managed to get a mirror!
Btw I preferred oil-based scents for when making baits and the gel-based scents are better for placing directly on a bait.

Thanks! It's definitely nice to be on the mend. You and I both like teaching about the things we know. Cheers!

Ah nice, thanks for posting your carp fishing wisdom. I'm still yet to get a mirror. Love the scales on those ones though.
