    Have you tried any of these techniques? What did you think? Did you have a favourite?

      Thank you! I'm really happy with it. It's my first gas stove so it was an adjustment for a bit, but I'm loving it now. It's by JennAir.

    spraying is probably the best for frosting patterns on windows to prevent bird collisions

    I’d like to make a glass block with frosted look. Most recommend the spray but after watching your video I’m wondering if the cream would work. I would attach vinyl after etching/frosting. I live in a condo & it’s cold outside and worried about the vapors indoors. But I certainly liked the “thicker frosted look” with the spray.

      If you want to use the spray, I'd definitely use it outdoors. Get a cardboard box to use as a spray shelter. Put the glass block inside when you spray and the box will protect while you spray. Bring it indoors to fully dry. Spraying multiple layers does give you a thicker look, I'm not sure if the any will come off with the transfer paper when you stick the vinyl on - definitely wait a few days before applying the vinyl if you use the spray to let it cure. The etch, you can definitely use indoors. Because you can reuse the etch cream, maybe if it's not frosted enough you could reuse the cream for a second coat? All the best!

      Thank you for your suggestions & ideas. Good point about the transfer paper taking off some of the frost effect from spraying. I will continue to ponder.

    just curious, do you sublimate? I heard sublimation can be done on frosted glass, wondering if one of these methods would work? 🤔

    • @HomeCulture
      @HomeCulture  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't ventured into sublimation yet. But I think it would work most likely on the gel etch frosted glass. That's such a cool idea!

    Can you use these on acrylic for the drifted acrylic look?

    • @HomeCulture
      @HomeCulture  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what you mean by drifted acrylic, but the Armour Etch can etch certain acrylic - it depends on the plastic used. The only way to know is to test a little. Sorry my answer isn't definite 😒

      @@HomeCulture sorry! I had a typo, I meant frosted acrylic look

    • @HomeCulture
      @HomeCulture  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stephanietom_md Ha ha! So yes, you can spray it and use the vinyl for sure. You just need to test a the etch cream on the acrylic you have. Some plastics 'react' to the chemical in the etch and can bubble up! 😳
