- The sequel to Ace Combat X's Blitz - with the added bit of satisfaction of getting revenge of those damn lights.
Theoretically, a higher score is possible - I got one more tower worth of score in an unrecorded run, probably because my wingmen blew it up. They actually can lock on to the towers, how convenient! And of course, you do have to leave some enemies at the base to keep Basilisk entertained...but that's a sacrifice you just have to make.
This run was under 9 minutes so I got the maximum time bonus for this mission a well. Frankly, I dunno if we should count the combined score or just the destruction score for high scores, but frankly that's for others do decide. This is my best effort, and it's plenty good enough i reckon.
That said, I did go as fast as I can, and it's a bit shocking to think the A-10s the best choice for that. But what you lose getting there, you gain in low speed maneuverability, which saves you multiple attack runs and makes handling the towers much, much easier. My initial bet was the Strike Eagle with SFFS, thinking I could carpet bomb the whole damn valley,but they weren't effective. Shame, that'd have been a good AC6-themed remix. But I I'm always glad to give the A-10 a rare spotlight.
PS. - Glad I made some dark environment color correction presets in Vegas, it used to take forever to improve visibility without ruining the quality.

When I first saw the title, I thought, no big deal, I’ve done that...and then they started going back for the search lights....and spawn killing planes....and using UGB’s on already airborne planes. Bravo, bravo 👏🏻
Thank you. I really should be more obvious with my titles, though - just write "Destroying The Searchlights in Cape Rainy Assault" or something. That just sounds so... well, not clickbait because I deliver, but just not very elegant, you know? But that's just my brain, no one really cares: I often find titles like REAL DOCTOR REACTS TO X, and then it's actually a really well made video.

The most badass thing about all of this is that A-10 exceeds speed of sound with ease.
It didn't in older ACs. but I'm glad they changed that. Sure, it was more realistic, but there was absolutely no reason to use the A-10. Now there actually is.

It's the second time I see someone who is not ACF pranking everyone with the A-10.
I never really realised how good the A10 would be for this night raid.
I mean from gameplay perspective the A10 doesn't make as much noise compared to other jets and its engines don't emit light on full throttle.
Although this may be because I'm an A10-fan and haven't tested other planes on this mission yet.

how did you get the oldschool ace combat 4 songs and menu music???? Brought back so many memories when I heard the song towards the end, and then in the menu after the mission it had the same sound effects as ac4! How?
The audio is edited, I played without music and added it later. Sorry to disappoint :p
I prefer SU-47 for that mission. Payload is still more than enough to anihilate tha base along with reinforcements & it's way easier to chase the escaping aerial units (if any are left, they withdraw towards the end of the mission)
Generally yeah, but this wouldn't be possible with it, I need that low speed maneuverability and stall speed.
I dont get why is ir that the erusea skin for the a10 is the same one as ISAF’s
Did this mission in the dark star at 3,000 mph fastest I ever done it got through on my first try without crashing or getting spotted.

Memorized a few paths, yeah, not all the towers. I use a Dualshock 4 - Ace Combat is really better suited for controllers than joysticks.

I like they threw that out the window. Sure it's unrealistic, and even then it's still the slowest aircraft by far, but it makes it usable at least. In previous game, I found myself unable to use the A-10 because of just how (realistically) slow it is.

They threw away realism to make it more viable, and i'm glad they did - I rarely ever used it in previous games, which was a shame.
@Casshern Fate In fairness, they WERE limited to subsonic in previous games. This was a recent change.
Don’t get me wrong, I love this game, but I am amused by the speed of aircraft.
It also escapes me that the A-10's Canon doesn't destroy your ancestors in 1 pass in this game, yet somehow it's weak as hell in this game
