It looks like any downforce greater than the props airspeed will make the arms fold up. If you try anything inverted and lower your throttle the whole thing will fold up and come crashing to the ground. It would be cool for smooth and slow flying though. Clean work, looking forward to seeing where this goes!
@@errorbyhuman better still, don’t waste people’s time encouraging they build this when it’s design is obviously nowhere near as well engineered or practical as what is already available and reliable (to build or rtf) “Oh wow it’s got green leds” Gimmick!
This is amazing, and the drone is kinda cool too lol. Great production value for a small channel, i see you growing quickly. Any chance youll be into RC vehicles at all?!?
@@SystemWho I got 31 minutes of hover time and I'd say it's more agile than a DJI air 2s but less than a FPV only because of the battery. But if you change to a lipo it'll really whip.
Great result, I also prefer gray. I am just finishing off my own drone project (completely different beast). It is of course smaller, cheaper, more powerful, faster and easier to build than yours,.....and it has a laser sight. I'd love to challenge you to an air battle but I think my 8 shots of .410 birdshot will be decisive.
Why would anyone with any clue about drones build something like this? Something that will OBVIOUSLY be less durable than a freestyle/racing drone as well as fly worse than a regular fpv drone or a commercial dji drone? What an absolute gimmick!

I call that the Kamikaze. I have yet to experience that but it can, I will further develop a locking clip but want people to build and get the raw experience first with feedback so i can make the cleanest and simplest solution.
So much wrong about this drone - I don't even know if you are being serious or it is just a prank. Dangerous prank, by the way - charging 4S Li-Ion battery without balance lead... OMG!

This is a Great Start!! I like it a lot from someone who also 3D prints wild designs for drones. Couple things tho as feedback say you go on cults this should only at best cost $25 to $30 for the file maybe less. I totally understand you needing funds nothing is cheap anymore, I get it, but I'd rather sell 1 million things for a dollar than 100 things for $75. Make sense? You had 10,000 people like the teaser short. If you got 10 bucks ( very do able) off each of them you would have 100k people look at the $75 and go ehhh. Times are tight bro. Just my observation, its your life I'm not going to tell you how to live it. But how many at $75 have you sold vs how many would you have sold for say $10 Next the only thing id like to see done and thats for expansion is to place the esc and flight controller and vtx vertical around the square cooling still works and it would allow room for a servo so you could oh say be able to "drop payload" wink wink lol Down facing camera for accuracy lmao but for real this is only my opinion and this is a great design. I agree with the arm locks if you want to be able to do any high speed inversion movement and stopping. It wouldn't hurt it would just stop foreseeable arm lag. Kick ass battery idea! Looking forward to building one. But remember a really good FPV freestyle frame out of carbon fiber and aluminum is 50 bucks..
Appreciate the solid feedback. Ill drop the price here, I didnt get any sales so it wont hurt anyone by doing so. Personally i want to see people build them so Ill drop the price to something a little more cost effective. Once some people get one going ill modify accordingly to their issues suggestions but currently no reason to if nobody buys lol
@@errorbyhuman I am also setting my price point at 30 dollars as I want maximum number of customers. I did the entire design and build process on a shoe string budget, so there is little investment to speak of except time. Encouraging people to iterate on your design could help interest in the product.

Nice! What is the flight time and behavior of this drone? Most 3d printed drones suffer from vibrations but this one seemed stable

If you 3d print the arms they will be too flexible and cause vibrations. Dude used carbon fiber tubing.
