    Nice video man, love the calm voice. Too many TH-camrs do the extremely high energy try to be quirky thing. The pacing and music was good. Also not too long but not too short on the video. You earned another sub!

    This game is fire. I like the simplicity, and how it makes you think outside the box. Sometimes you haver to make one predator kill another predator. Finding meteors doubles the number of skills you can lock in for that generation. great game. great video. My biggest gripe is the combat mechanic. I think that as you improve your skills and communication capabilities you should be able to command your tribe members to coordinate attacks on larger animals.

    • @ralphsimsgaming
      @ralphsimsgaming  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah the combat was mine also. I didn’t really like the fact that it was one single button press, but besides that I think the game is dope.

    This game when it came out had terrible reviews one of the main criticisms was because it was slow and boring. I really liked the concept of this game and it is addicting but it's not for everyone because it is a slow burn survival game and has a high learning curve because you have to pay attention to the sights and sounds especially when your ape is grooming and looking at your senses because you are playing as a primitive human which is the point. Again I really liked this game but I can understand people staying away from it because of some of the mechanics and the difficulty.

    any news about it's sequel? I really love this game, yes it might be repetitive at times but still has great concept. people bomb this game with negative reviews because there was no in game tutorial. like WTF? it was its mechanics, you get to play as an ape who need to discover everything and evolve. that was one of its great concept.

    • @ralphsimsgaming

      No I haven’t heard any news about the second one. Everything I have heard is just speculation and not official information from the devs.

  • @Moose0fNorway
    @Moose0fNorway ปีที่แล้ว +3

    calling it "open world" is extremely misleading. You see it in this video even. You see those high mountain walls that's almost always on his sides? Yeah, that's the (in)visible wall that makes this game linear. You can only travel forward, or backwards, albeit, the line is somewhat wide, but it's still a line.

    • @ralphsimsgaming
      @ralphsimsgaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Didn’t call it an open world. I said “the world opened up to you” meaning no limitations on when and where you can go…but the map is still open in a sense or at least gives the illusion that it is. But I do get what your saying though.

    • @Moose0fNorway
      @Moose0fNorway ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ralphsimsgaming alright, I'll give you that one, you didn't explicitly say "open world", but saying "the world opens up to you, and you can go anywhere you'd like" makes the game sound like an openworld game, rather than a linear one. And when I played this game when it came out, it was the main reason I stopped playing, that and the fact that after you've done a few battles, you realize how barebone the game really is when it comes to gameplay.
      I get that some people like the game, but I think making it a linear game like they did was a BIG mistake, especially when the mechanics too are so darn simple. Making a linear game so grindy is really not a good combo. Linear is supposed to make the games less grind focused and faster pased, while open world is more lenient when it comes to grind.
      I just think that saying that it's actually a linear game is rather important thing to add when the game camouflages itself as open world.

    • @ralphsimsgaming
      @ralphsimsgaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      I get what you mean. Yeah it does get kinda grindy at times. I thought the mechanics were a little simple too, but then I kinda had to take a step back and look at the game for what it was and understand why they did it that way, unfortunately the game isn’t really for everyone, heck even before I got the game I was in a mindset that it looked kinda dumb and wasn’t my type of game, but I actually enjoyed most of my time with it. I definitely see what you mean by the map is linar in a sense, but the way they masked it by having some what open areas gave it a nice illusion that it was open. I’m glad you commented and gave your opinion on the video too, it helps me know what to say and not say for future videos I make. Hope you stick around for other content I make later

      @@TheWiddaC yeah, we're all looking for different things :D!
      It's one of the reasons i want information to be factual, because the people who are looking for open world will feel cheated, while the ones who are not will miss out on the game... Just remember, it's very grindy, and got boring with the lackluster mechanics for me at least

    Game was fun when I first played it however within 30 hours shit got very repetitive.
    Combat gets stale fast.
    looking at the 1000th thing to inspect gets old fast.
    You only encounter new apes if a clan member dies so it feels rather lifeless.
    Once you realize that lions spawn on your ass randomly and they don’t actually stalk you is kinda cheap.
    NPC animals don’t attack Other animals only you and your clan also adds to the feeling a lifeless world.
    And last con is the bullshit backtracking you have to do if you miss something and have to inspect every last item if you want to have a fully evolved ape, side note to that is if you get all meteors and all areas before you inspect everything (at least for me) you can’t unlock everything or learn everything.
    So first play through my ape never fully learned bipedalism because the skill was greyed out and apparently i perma locked it when skipping generations.
    I’d give it a 5/10
    Though the first 5 hours is 9/10 for sure

    How long is the game and is there an ending ? How many different predators can you run into and is there other clans you can go to war with ? I’m on the fence with this game.

    • @ralphsimsgaming
      @ralphsimsgaming  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The game is pretty lengthy depending on if your a perfectionist. There’s a decent amount of predators, even though when you run into them the attacking is just a “press the button at the right time” thing, and sadly no there’s no going to war with other factions (which would be cool)…the game is good, but if it’s not on sale I would skip it, but if you can get a good deal on it then go for it, it’s not a bad game
