- In their final installment of Room 205, Ty Segall & White Fence go outré with a bang on "Time."
If your musical tastes run from the guitarsenals of Amon Duul II to the mind warps of The Animated Egg, then you might agree that Ty Segall and Tim Presley, aka White Fence, have just made one of the best new psych-garage albums of the early 21st Century. For this episode, they teamed up with friends Mikal Cronin (bass) and Nick Murray (drums) to deliver a sonic freakout par excellence. That director Michael Reich and engineer Jon Gilbert captured them performing live together for the first time is just-in the truest sense of the word-awesome.

I've been following Ty Segall's career practically like a religion for about two-three years now.-- He's so raw. If I got to pick any modern musician to make music with, I think it would be him.

It's a modified jazzmaster with a humbucker in the bridge and jaguar pickup in the neck. The neck has 21 frets (as can be seen at 3:26) which means it is most likely a full scale (jags and other fender short scales have 22 frets). /geekness :)

Emily is a great drummer, but nick is great as well! Plus I think it's chill that Ty is bringing mike Cronin from his band and tim is with nick! I think it would feel weird for Tim to be alone with Ty's band haha, but all legendary musicians!

I love Ty's vibrato so much
That's actually Tremolo that he uses in the solo! That sort of oscillation happens when you're running two amps in stereo and put one in tremolo. It's not quite the same with just one amp.
+winstor adams I was actually talking about his left hand's vibrato not the effect pedal (which he doesn't use) I actually found out the crazy sound (Im talking about 4:35 - 4:37 and 5:01 - 5:03 ) comes from him using the whammy bar on his mustang so much with his palm since it doesn't have a whammy bar
yeah those stang bars are so easy to rock forwards and backwards. if only it was able to be done on a jaguar
