I've recently bought a 2nd hand 525 mag 2 and in itching to try it out. Bought a 2nd hand Shimano tsm2 last year and that's fooking lively with the no braking system AT ALL but it's a quality bit of kit... It WILL ruin my day it's just a matter of time. 🤣🤣
Well done Mate brilliant video. Cheers for the heads up. I've been doing overhead thump . Going to try this on the next session. Tight lines cheers Paul 🎣🍻
Excellent Video!!! - Im Finding The 'Gemini Splashdown' Bait Clips Are Working Very Well For Me, Especially When Off The Ground Casting. - They Don't Unclip When You Lay Them On The Sand or Pier To Cast, And I Haven't Had A Bait Come Back Yet That Hasn't Unclipped In The Water. A Very Clever Little Device, I Use Them With A Pulley Rig -👍
Good one I found is if you have a line feeder/aligner (?) on your multiplier, is before you cast, walk the line out along the beach 100 or so yards. This way when you cast everything is in line.
When off the ground casting with a pulley whats the best thing to use to out hook in I take it an imp will just come undone why you try to lay it flat on beach cheers
@@paulgoode8978 I carp fish we are told the reel hand at the bottom of the cast gives you your direction point it where you want your lead to land I can say its true for me . Assuming it's the same for this cast.
I was fishing here at marsden a few weeks ago when the latest storm hit and we where still fishing then we officially packed up cause the wind was that bad u couldn’t even cast
A leader is a piece of line attached to the end of your main line with a higher breaking strain than that of your main line, its purpose is to take the shock of the cast so that you can use a lighter main line for further casting distance and better bite detection. The rule of thumb is for every 1oz of weight that you use you should use 10lb of shock leader. So if you were using a 6oz fishing weight you would use a minimum of 60lb leader.
Thank you for adding the graphics! It made it so much clearer to see what was happening! Top man, tight lines
Thanks glad they helped, tight lines.
Great video. Really clear demo on how to do this cast. Thanks.
Thanks for that Gary. Up till now I’ve been using fixed spool, but I wouldn’t mind having a try with a multiplier.
Thank you for the graphics! It made it so much easy to understand.

Great , interesting brother👏👏
Thank you 👍
Love the lads in the states that do an 80yd cast and think it’s phenomenal 😂
I’ve been practicing my otg cast with a 12’6 rod and a slosh multiplier but can’t seem to get past the 90 odd yard mark any tips
Could u do this cast on a ruffer beach with rocks stone's uneven ground thanks
It's mainly for a sand and shingle beach because you might get caught on a rock and snap your line if its to rocky.
Thanks
Very nice video . thx mate. the graphics are very helpfull. how far can you cast with your setup and which rod do you use?
Thanks, im not sure how far I can cast. I haven't measured. I mainly use a century rod.
Can you still cast like this if you're using gripper weights ?
Yes off the beach.
@fishingintheukgarywood I've never tried casting this way I will deffo give this cast a try
when you let your off to free the line ?

I usually use the Gemini Splashdown solo bait clips. They work quite well for off the ground casting.
Will this work with a spinning reel.?
I'm not sure I haven't tried it with a spinning reel.
how to cast with spinning rod?
question- was this on the isle of wight somewhere?
No its in the north east of England.
Hi, what rod would you recommend. Cheers.
Hi, any beach caster that can comfortably cast 5 to 7oz weight.
Great video. Have tried this cast and always seems to go right when i cast. Maybe trying too hard or realeasing too early. Any thoughts?
Thanks Paul, maybe try slowing your cast down and releasing a little bit later.
Thxs for the reply. Will try your suggestions and get a bit more practice in.

Great vid. Love the graphics. Glad my dog and I weren’t there. You’d have had no peace.
Thanks Phil 👍
Apakah tidak ada kail... Itu hanya pemberat
The 30lb as opposed to say 15lb cuts down on the birdys doesn't it 😉👍👍
As a beginner, I've got ask what a leader is...
