I'd call it a kid friendly version of what it's really going to be like. It didn't really focus on the chaos of the big cities like most apocalyptic movies. I appreciated that.
It's worth a watch & something you can show the kids to prepare them.

Just have a try preparing yur brain on true events that could really happen. Not bullshits as "apocalyptic events" that will never occure. Let's.. Think.! And keep away fear and milenarist theories. Butcheries and childy mindset. We have enough with true realistic future with challenges we gonna have to face.

In a country that has more guns amongst the population than it's military, how is it that not a single one of these survivors has a gun?
Did the pandemic make all guns vanish in to thin air?

One of my most intriguing questions is why didn't he even get any of those bladed weapons when he had the chance? You'll never know when you need one to save your life. At least you've got a fighting chance of survival.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but these people were in an extended grid down situation for over a year, yet their clothes and faces look spotless, ever try wearing the same set of clothes for a week without washing? They would run out of bar soap, laundry soap, water would have to be rationed, clothes may look worn, ratty, dirty
Also with no trash pickup, there would be trash everywhere, with no running sewer pumps....they would have to dig a toilet.... staying clean would be difficult after a while
It may be difficult to make new clothes look like it has been worn for a long time and not washed, also a challenge to make a dwelling look like it's been lived in for a while,
Only one gun in the whole movie and they did not show Eden they could be cannibals enjoyed the movie

Saw someone asked about firearms. If I was alive I would have 3 minimum (rifle and 2 semi-automatic pistols) and at least three knives.

Not relevant to this story line.
But why are there no animals at all? Especially dogs. Most would remain alive but with no one to care for them they would swiftly go wild and many would gather and roam in large packs. Making them very dangerous to the few humans left.

Please forgive me for my technical observaiion ... but, whoever was in charge of the music soundtrack didn't know his a$$ from a hole in the ground .... He set the music at a one-size-fits all level ... without proper adjustments for the dialogue ... because when the dialogue is in motion ... YOU CANNOT HEAR IT UNDER THE MUSIC ... Music is supposed to set the mood ... NOT BE THE MAIN FOCUS OF A SCENE !!!
