Excellent movie, drama. Byron Lee, main actor and writer/director/producer, is quite good. This is a character drama, not science-fiction really. It's basically a 'little guy' looking/waiting for UFOs in the desert, the desert where all kinds of people go by. It's also a love story. Real nice.
By the way, from the beginning I was looking for a working subtitles tracks (none) although it turns out that this is a 95% English movie with 5% in Spanish. It could be nice to have a working subtitle track for the Spanish bits but actually they're not really essential. Just imagine something based on the characters and it'll work. Spanish is used as an accessory, not essential to the movie. You know who the bad guys are, what they say is irrelevant.
29:00 His sister and my sister are the same type of person... she often lacks any emotion or empathy towards anyone but herself... she also talks so quickly just like this chick does so u cant get a word in.. therefore cant cause her any issues and things are groovy...
This movie is a gem! Well worth watching! I personally would have prefered to have some sub-title translations of the Spanish dialogues because they did go on a fair bit and it is disconcerting to not know if I am missing out on important plot or context info.
That aside though, the story is intriguing and unfolds at a good pace, the actors are good, and the characters are believable. There is enough droll humour and development of relationships to balance the evil deeds of the bad guys, which are made plain without being overdone. And when one of the baddies gets his comeuppance it is very satisfying - even if the particular circumstance stretches belief a wee bit ;) But then, strange things really do happen in that there desert.....

My Spanish is rusty and no subtitles make it difficult to watch for me.
Perhaps a dubbed version could be made available for those not knowledge enough for Spanish only.
It's a movie 95% in English. For the 5% in Spanish you can imagine based on the characters (it's a drama) or just do nothing, it's not essential at all for the movie.

It's 95% in English. The spoken Spanish in there is only accessory, not needed for getting into the movie (drama).
