How come in all these "dystopian future” films, it never occurs to the main characters to get some bicycles instead of walking endlessly across country?
The people who write movies rarely know what it's like spending a night out with the clothes on your back. Every night you don't get enough sleep makes you look worse in the morning, and that's especially true if you're not warm enough until the sun rises.
If 90% of the population were dead there would be enough food left in grocery stores to live on for DECADES!! Plus, you can very easily grow food, especially things like potatoes, which basically grow from the peels.
Still the same senseless message, one thread - people are dangerous to themselves and kill others for any trivial reason. Gentlemen and ladies, filmmakers, where the hell have you seen people hunting each other during disasters? I'm from Europe, we've had a lot of wars, but each time people stuck to each other to protect and support each other. We created bastions of resistance, asylums, armed and in solidarity. There was always a death sentence for murdering people. No group of bandits survived for long. They were hunted like animals. Shockingly, there has always been more order during disasters than during peacetime.

Part 2 would most likely be very expensive to show how, most likely, the UFO could have beamed both boys up and brought Tom back to Life and found a way to transport them to safety .
43:51 - would’ve been nice if they invited this kid.. clearly not a bad kid as he could’ve killed them as they slept, and having an extra older teen would’ve been helpful.. (though, get that this is written by the kids, and such details are often over looked by adult filmmakers..)
Not really. That is just what the manufacturers want us to believe! I drank 4 years over the limit apple juice we found in a corner: No problem I drank 5 year old rainwater from my rainwater tank in my cellar: No problem (I try every year, it is sort of self testing) I ate 12 year old canned meat (9 years over the limit): No problem My mum had self preserved cherries, that have been 10 years long in the cellar: They lost all colour, but actually tasted stilll pretty good. My wife found in a freezer some Raspberries that where frozen for 40! years (it came in the baby meal glasses my wife used to get 😂): They tasted not that much anymore, but also here: No problems! In general: If the can is not blown up or it smells funny when you open it, it should be still good for consumption!

Why is it with all of these home movies the “actors” always seem to be wearing immaculately clean clothes? Haven’t the ideological producers or who ever figured out that in these situations peoples clothes would be at least covered in dirt if not hanging of them. Unbelievable the kid in the opening scene is wearing an immaculately clean white t-shirt.
Um....you realize this *movie* was made-directed-by the two kids (actual brothers) who star in it. While it might not be perfect, it is a remarkable achievement for a movie acted and directed by kids.🤜🏾💥🔥⚫🔥💥🤛🏾
Well, all the shops would have been stocked and with all the people gone, you probably can take your pick. But I agree: I would probably stick with the cloths I have on me and not bother washing them too often.

They were better off making friends with the white dude and helping each other or better yet, helping the little girl and dying there! What a horrible waste. Could've been a decent movie but that ending along with the choices they made along the way just ruin it for me. Wouldn't recommend this one.
The movie was made and directed by the two kids (brothers) who star in it....they may not have had the funding to extend the movie the extra time needed. For a movie made by a pair of kids, I think it was exceptional, if not exactly to Hollywood perfection.💥🔥💥
The boys were out numbered, why should they risk own lives knowing the outcome. Helping the boy i agree, offer him a ride, but in a situation like that you would not know who to trust, more so when you have young ones to look out for. For a 16 yr old, I think he has done a great job on this short film. Can't wait to see more.
The older brother could have taken the white boy along with them, so his younger brother wouldn't be all alone in case something happened to him. Also, the three of them would have been stronger if they were attacked later. Gathering more people to travel in a group, is key to survival. Greed has no place in survival.

Actors need to speak clearer, more understandable. Taking classes for speaking clearer, is actually part of the training to become a professional actor. Even the youngest kid actors have this training usually. Very unsatisfying.

Great movie ! Love how the parents influenced the kids outlook and behavior even in such an adverse situation !
Intelligent movie directed by the two brothers, who were also the lead actors. Great things ahead for their futures.
They have another film coming out in 2025. One Stranded. I've been keeping up with them. I think it starts shooting this summer.

Walking or riding bikes on roads would be very dangerous.

I'm thinking it's more a problem with the audio balance. . . the actors' voices could've been boosted in post like movies often do.
Both actors done very well and I could understand everything that was said. Maybe get your ears cleaned out.
