While making this video also stumbled upon an apparent bug where your rift placement doesn't proc dynamo at times. I believe it may be when you put it down on uneven surfaces but couldn't tell for sure. So be mindful of your rift placements using these builds. Also, if you find out what may be causing this reply to this so we can figure it out! Thanks for watching
Were you near enemies?, if i remember correctly dynamo was changed to proc only when near enemies because of the hunter dodge abuse.
It's because they changed dynamo way back to requiring close proximity to your enemy because hunter abused dynamo to just get super quickly by hiding and dodging on cooldown.

Ehroar I've been using this exact build with my well since the launch of Shadowkeep ( my first SK exotic drop was starfire protocol) and I've rarely switched off since then. Be it top, mid, or bottom tree I've been slaying out. I've been a Warloc main since D1 year 1, THIS BUILD IS INSANE people!

@@alexleistikow2940 lolz give it a go, i haven't actually tried to switch armor on the fly during fights, but i bet it can be done if fast enough, i've been able to switch out guns while running during nightfalls and whatnot, it's a little trippy to see the gun in your hands faze out of existence haha

I just tested the Cerberus +1 alternate fire mode from the Catalyst with Actium War Rig.... You can shoot for 1 minute and 24 seconds without reloading.... this is insane.
Edit: If you Owerflow the Magazine from 21% Delirium you can shoot 19 seconds straight.

@@therewillbefire1833 I just wish 360 LMGs were better against bosses and high-health targets. They ripped ass in D1, strange they're now the weakest of the LMGs.
For add clear they're fantastic though. Just roll one with Field Prep. ~100 extra bullets in reserve and a 3 second reload with a quick crouch. Good stuff...

Starfire has been underrated for so long, its provided the best support neutral game since forsaken with the unlimited healing and normal grenades

Also, on console, changing your gear takes like 8 seconds so... the first few ideas would be a lot worse on consoles

7 seconds to load up the inventory screen and another 1 second to load any item categories that you hover over that havent been loaded since that pause (the numbers are estimates but its roughly that from my experience playing on xbox one(original)with no ssd). It also depends if you have the main connection in the lobby e.g. hosting the lobby in terms of internet, not in terms of party host. They are both different but the party host is the most likely to have the host connection when starting a new activity.

I've only used Starfire protocol for duplicating balls in scourge and used vesper for before forsaken on calus since I could place 1 rift down on each plate and I would switch back to Luna's before jumping on each plate.

The rift build with ratking also works really nice when you need that extra second to cast another rift, I just got both these chest pieces back to back, 1 from ep and the other after 4 clash matches

I did this with the starfire protocool and yes vesper. The rift can happen every 20 seconds at least and the rift causes damage as well as make a mini bubble like a titan. It is fun.

Hey ehroar I have a build for titan that gives practically unlimited super. I use exit strategy, doomfangs, and bubble. There are some other helpful mods that I use if you want to know what they are but here's how it works. With doomfangs, a melee ability kill grant's roughly 1/4 of your super. The melee kill also gives you swashbuckler 5x for exit strategy (you can use monte carlo as well) and you get the overshield for bubble titan where kills give melee energy. If you repeat this combo, it will go something like melee kill, 4-5 exit strategy kills, back to melee and then repeat which gives you super back insanely fast.
Pair this with one, two punch to kill the yellow bois for more super cos they are yellow bars
Need enhanced Ashes to Assets on the Starfire build
Dynamo and Ashes to assets are both on the distinctive armot slots, so you would have to eliminate one Dynamo for ashes to assest, which will result in the same or less super energy earned

I love the change to vesper it was the first exotic I tested out when sk dropped it’s pretty viable in pvp it’s great for baiting and you can counter a full head on shoulder charge and then just shoot or melee them after it’s great
Here in season of Dawn, this build is not the nastiest you can have, but it certainly is useful. The only issue being that you have to be next to enemies when you activate the rift, that's not always going to be the case. Especially since keeping some distance as a warlock just makes sense. I've been running top tree solar for weeks and while you can do some serious and continuous death from above with it, I need a change. This looks like something fun to try. In reality, many builds look ridiculously good when testing them in the trophy room, and are fairly good under ideal circumstances like with a room full of reds to feed it, but fall flat on their faces in the majority of situations, and this falls flat quite a bit I find. Same with the nade spamming devour void build, really - under ideal conditions, you're an unstoppable killing machine, but when you have too few red bars to feed on, the damage gravy train stops and you're just any old so-so powerful warlock. I think this season's Sunbracer + top tree go-to is one of the few builds that are really nuts and hold up, all you need is one red bar or even a weak/wounded yellow and you can lay waste to everything with actually good grenades (solar). I just don't want to do nothing but that from here on just because it's (probably) the best.

Decent build I have is double enhanced ashes to assets with controverse hold on top tree voidwalker. Grenades for days and pretty quick supers too.
But this is straight bonkers

I enjoy Centre Tree Dawnblade with star fire protocol and Lumina. Soooo much heals. And buffs.
You can do a similar build with Kepri's horn on Titan. Also at some point they buffed Kepri's horn and gave it a second flare that comes back and does 200 damage in PvP if both hit.
I had a similar build to this but I didnt think about using starfire protocol but instead i used vesper of radius with full paragon mods and doubled up on bomber and breach refractor and it was a fun/okay build
Basically my budget build that focused on healing grenades

I actually use starfire protocol alot when im on my warlock(which is rare) that and sunbracers.
Since it works with 2 dynamos as well as three, I wonder if it would be better to use 1.0 dynamo boots, 2.0 dynamo and an enhanced ashes to assets to get that super boost from the fusion nades
I wonder what about like double enhanced ashes to assets with contraverse hold top tree voidwalker with breach refracs on the chest piece. It would probably be quite quick for super also (although it is only for voidwalker)

Well of radiance with Starfire protocol works extremely well in comp to constantly have overshield for your teammates. In survival using this build, I average one super every 2-3 rounds using lumina.
The new rocket launcher from the Moon's Dungeon can roll Demolitionist and combined with the void SMG from Essences, its even crazier !
The time has finally come
So I've tested the last build to see how it performs and here are my conclusions.
In general : the build seems cool and flashy on paper but in practice it under perform. Sure you can get your super very fast but using a super on red bars... A good primary or special weapon can be just as good. And the prerequise for that (drop the rift, grenade kill, repeat) is long and kill the efficiency for me.
This was tested pure solo on lost sectors. With a fireteam this is even more difficult as the other people are going to kill the mob before your grenade explose and kill the build. It was a pain to use on public events and really under performed. Plus on the moon the distribution perk not procking because of the ennemies was very often, killing the build.
However I tested the grenade in a 980 nightmare hunt on a trash mob and it kills it, so that's a good point (963 light vs 980).
Same, you stick your gernade one one trash mob but it dies to a random bullet from another player stealing your kill. Very annoying to use in public events (where I thought this would kinda shine).
Using dynamo during your storm trance super can extend it

Does the Starfire Protocol perk work with the Empowered melee buff as well? Or only in the rift?
Could this build work with one Dynamo and Enhanced Ashes to Assets on your bond? Or do you need 1.0 helmet with Ashes to Assets and 2 Dynamos on your bond?

with the solar build throw an enhanced ashes to assets on your helmet and get super energy with grenade kills and rifts. not sure if you mentioned that or not.

You can do similar builds for titan and hunter. Titan I use heart of inmost light and hunter I use sixth coyote.

You should show off doom fang + monte carlo + top tree sentinel. You get your super so fast while ad clearing you can have 2 bubbles simultaneously.
You can get your blade barrage in gambit in the final round with galanor shards
This is cool but all I gotta do is have graviton lance, Nazereks, Devour, Disruption grenades, Disruption spike, oppressive darkness, and a whole lotta resilience and I can just face tank through any tier 2 power activity. It would be even better if I could work up the nuts to get Recluse and have Deathbringer for my heavy to max out my Extractor buff whenever I need it.
For the first one i was using a very similar build before i got geomag
So blade barrage more often with y1 dynamo, 2 y2 dynamo, shards and a y1 hands on.
You should throw in a y1 ashes to assets with that fusion grenade build.

Hey Ehroar, I got a question. So the Starfire Protocol build. I unfortunately only have two dynamo mods, (both on the class item). The problem is, I use my rift, but I get no super energy, I get a kill with a fusion grenade, use my rift again, same thing. No super energy. It only gives me super energy every now and then. What's up with that? Am I doing something wrong?

Middle tree striker (titan) insurmountable skullfort. W/heads on. Mark with heads on= destroy and super in 5 seconds of there is enough enemies around unfortunately i delete my exotic helmet with heads on. 😢saddest day of my life still can use with any helmet with the perk and monte carlo I guess..
How were you able to use two breach retractor? For me it says : similar mod already applied...

I made a pretty nutty storm-caller build with max strength, crown of tempest, thunder coil and double ballistic combo. This build rewards highly aggressive gameplay.

I've unlocked the true power of my 100 discipline warlock build!!!!
Any hunters out there, you can make a similar build for a lot of subclass paths, just by replacing Dynamo with Distribution and spec into the dodge that gives back melee energy.
Just equip sixth coyote, go for a path that has fast or instant cooldown on the dodge and watch as you gain super while dancing on the battlefield.
Works best on blade barrage because you can use that on a boss and require 0 kills to gain back a super in 20 seconds.
If you go for blade barrage you can add prometheus lens to get more super energy from burning enemies.I find that build a bit easy to die with in higher difficulties though. The similar arc build with liar's handshake gets self healing and is a bit easier to manage as such.
for the dynamo to activate you need to be near an enemy, dunno if that is a bug or a hidden perk
