I'm curious about that approach. Why not invest directly into the companies thoses ETFs own? You'd get much larger percentage return if you owned shares of Tesla before the recent run-up vs if you owned their ETF which held some Tesla in it. Just my thoughts. @@Andrew-mm5qn Oh, you can definitely go wrong.... In other words Ark maybe right on the innovations, but wrong on the individual players. I wouldn't bet my whole portfolio on this. But looking good as an add-on to a core portfolio holding, like VTSAX (and 10% gold). No need to really fear missing out: if these disruptors are right, they will end up being included in major indices over time. But...you will generate alpha if you guess right, when they are still micro-cap.

They have been right on Tesla so far. That is their claim to fame. I am buying shares of ARKK and will go along for the ride. let's hope their future returns are as impressive as the last 6 years (which, admittedly, is a blink-of-an-eye track record)
Another sector to watch: 3D printing costs are dropping, and new AI deep learning is being incorporated. Also,. rapid development of multi-materials 3D printers.
Tesla done 370,000 in 2019, once they announce their smaller vehicles, set up further gigafactories, they will be in prime position to take a chunky share of that 37 million units
Been having this issue as well. The European laws "protect us". You could check out if there are any CFD:s on it. You'll get exposure but not any of the underlying asset. I think cmcmarkets.com has their Innovation ETF. Outherwise I'm sure there are others.

Why only Bitcoin ? I think blockchain technology is 100x more revolutionary than Bitcoin on its own , DEFI (decentralized finance) already disrupting banking , exchanges, lending platforms ....
That's what I'm thinking too, read their whitepaper about Bitcoin. They think of Bitcoin as a store of value, but in some other whitepaper they mention blockchain technology disrupting the world more than the internet had.

Just like they hire the expertise for evaluating investments they hire expertise for making a streaming video. If they can't do that I would question their ability to pick investment talent. I want Ark to succeed so I am pointing out they need to improve their presentation. If their presentation was loaded with grammatical errors it wouldn't present well. No different.
Despite the massive intervention I'm not so sure the selling is done. Put up a chart of the SPY WEEKLY and put on the 26 and 52 sma... also, put up RSI 13 and you will see the market broke RSI 50 and then simply retested that level today. Very impulsive moves. Quite freaky in fact. I think we will have a few down days that is disguised as a pull back to go higher and instead, sell off some more. I shorted TSLA at the close. Cheers!
The other tech that will literally blow people's minds is brain-computer interfaces. It's not easy to invest in yet but it is closer than people think and when it is I'm going in big.
Who believes the statement about EVs? I can see auto manufacturers creating EVs to make sure they establish a space in the EV market quickly. But by how much do you think EVs will replace fossil-fuel powered consumer vehicle sales for existing car manufacturers in the next five years?
There'll likely be a drop before the halving as miners hedge and speculators take profits but after that it will almost certainly soar again next year as the reduction in supply hits those looking to accumulate.
