These transients are so amazing... I love overhead transients, but I still haven't found away to make them work with close mics, without getting flamming sound
normally you shouldnt hear a "flamming" sound between your close mics and OHs. At least when using typical distances for your overheads. Try something like 70-120cm measured from the center of your snaredrum and you should be fine. For me a flamming sensation became more of a "problem" using bigger distances for room mics etc. Try flipping polarity on your snare mic tho

I like the way the sharper transients seem to "bloom" with the 47. The 12 is super clean thou.

U47 for me is more soft and more slowly vs C12. The C12 is more agressive and fast...i hear with Focal solo 6
