the serve by LYD and ZhangNan (evident in the finals) are both delaying, which is very annoying to play against. And this is also a trick by players to purposely throw opponents off guard and to slow the game down. Sadly, I personally think there can't be any clear rules (i.e. must serve under how many seconds, this was implemented in tennis iirc) to limit and control this besides the umpire making the call. The serve delay, and most likely pressure, for the Msian pair caused them to lose their momentum and cost them their finals gold medal
LYD lost because he is using an outdated racket vs the Malaysians who were given the best Victor had to offer. 2U BS12 in a QF match is literally a joke.
its nothing to do with the racket...they were both sponsored by victor but they have the freedom to pick which racket they wanted and comfortable with...the fact LYD used that racket probably he was comfortable with that racket n 2U was common with pro players years ago
