I'll be honest. I had 2 bbls and I definitely do have very low self esteem. My husband use to tell me (prior to surgery) that I was not his ideal type physically and that he choose me for my personality. It cut me deep like a knife. I was already not very happy with my body and no gym would ever give me hips so I wanted to do anything I could to make him happy with me physically. I admit it was weak minded. I admit I would hate for my daughters to be weak minded like me in this area. What I learnt in the end is some men (my husband being one) will be happy for a few months with the change but will get bored. And no matter how much I improve myself he will always want variety and change. And this is a very hard and painful lesson to learn. But for me is my reality.
When I realized Shakira, Beyonce, and Halle Berry got cheated on, I quit giving af what men think. I got my tummy tuck, breast lift, and BBL for me and no one else. I love how I look now.

This woman is a nurse and she is downplaying it by saying she only went in for a simple procedure. Now I know that she knows that every time you go under anesthesia there is a chance that she will never wake up. I'm so glad that when I was in my teens and twenties, that we weren't pressured to have surgeries and butt lifts. If you were blessed this way or not, it wasn't a big deal. I was very curvy and had a big butt. But almost everyone did. Some weren't so big, but it wasn't an obsession. Men and women are so vain today to the point of risking everything. So sad. I hope she recovers.

😏 A doctor spent close to a year suggesting that I have surgery on an ovary for a cyst and endometriosis issues; I felt like, “If it ain’t cancerous (deadly), leave it be. I eventually had the procedure, and it did help heal a lot of things, but my initial response was, “Why have surgery for something that’s not life threatening.” With that said, I damn sure ain’t going under the knife for a bigger butt. Any mishap could happen. There have been rare occasions when some folks didn’t wake up. If I ever have surgery, it’s gotta be for health, not beauty. This lady looked around 45. Who was she trying to impress? If a man truly loves you, it’s not for your ass. 🙄 Women need to stay modest and learn to age gracefully. I do hope she has improved though. 😐

When you sign that surgery consent you KNOW the consequences that goes with it. Every consent form will say "I *patients name* knows the risks of the surgery..." and knows that bleeding or health issues or DEATH is possible. She signed it so there's nothing we can do for her now

The problem with this is, that no matter how many stories that you share on the risks of these kind of procedures they always think they'll be the exception. When you go in to get a consultation they always share the risks with you. They can't guarantee you that it won't happen. And with the knowledge most still go through with procedures. A couple of years ago i went in for a hysterectomy, and I thought about the idea of getting a tummy tuck. After thinking long and hard I decided against it. My hysterectomy was a must, but a tummy tuck was not worth losing my life or causing health issues.
💕I actually scheduled my bbl surgery about a year and a half ago but canceled after hearing so many horror stories....instead, I changed my diet and incorporated super foods like, chia, flax and protein smoothies...got myself a set of “booty bands” from amazon and started working out at home 5 days a week for only an hour at a time...fast forward to now, my posterior is AMAZING 🙌🏽🍑🙌🏽...not only that, my skin, hair nails, lashes all improved.....no word of a lie, I’m 47 and every time I go out, at least two people will tell me I look like Rhianna, lol!!’....you’ve just got to put in the work, it’s slow at first but I promise you after six to eight weeks, you’ll see a difference in your overall well-being 💕

" when something like this happens, it's a strong indicator why we should embrace who we are in the bodies we are in. I've been exercising and eating healthier and I am happy with who I am. I know for some it's easier said than done.

I’m sorry that she is going through this but it should be known that a “Brazilian Butt Lift” is far from a minor cosmetic procedure/enhancement. It’s major surgery with a long recovery time. If you are going to have it done you need to go to the best of the best and even then it’s not a guarantee. Hope she recovers. Also she should have called 911 herself if she really felt it was urgent. She’s a nurse and capable of making that determination for sure.
😏 A doctor spent close to a year suggesting that I have surgery on an ovary for a cyst and endometriosis issues; I felt like, “If it ain’t cancerous (deadly), leave it be. I eventually had the procedure, and it did help heal a lot of things, but my initial response was, “Why have surgery for something that’s not life threatening.”
With that said, I damn sure ain’t going under the knife for a bigger butt. Any mishap could happen. There have been rare occasions when some folks didn’t wake up. If I ever have surgery, it’s gotta be for health, not beauty. This lady looked around 45. Who was she trying to impress? If a man truly loves you, it’s not for your ass. 🙄 Women need to stay modest and learn to age gracefully. I do hope she has improved though. 😐

I applaud this woman’s bravery in speaking out against BBL surgery. I hope lots of women take her advice and change their minds about getting BBL surgery or injections.
That was her decision based on vanity. There are many more important things in life than a big butt- besides we don’t even see it unless we look in the mirror. Lesson for everyone before they decide to do any kind of cosmetic surgery. Plus everyone is told-verbally and in writing- that all surgeries carry a risk.

This is literally the most dangerous cosmetic procedure and the one with the highest percentage of patients who died. She is so lucky to alive in my opinion. But even though she is lying to herself and us by saying it was a ''minor procedure'' she does not deserve this.
The problem with this is, that no matter how many stories that you share on the risks of these kind of procedures they always think they'll be the exception. When you go in to get a consultation they always share the risks with you. They can't guarantee you that it won't happen. And with the knowledge most still go through with procedures. A couple of years ago i went in for a hysterectomy, and I thought about the idea of getting a tummy tuck. After thinking long and hard I decided against it. My hysterectomy was a must, but a tummy tuck was not worth losing my life or causing health issues.

💕I actually scheduled my bbl surgery about a year and a half ago but canceled after hearing so many horror stories....instead, I changed my diet and incorporated super foods like, chia, flax and protein smoothies...got myself a set of “booty bands” from amazon and started working out at home 5 days a week for only an hour at a time...fast forward to now, my posterior is AMAZING 🙌🏽🍑🙌🏽...not only that, my skin, hair nails, lashes all improved.....no word of a lie, I’m 47 and every time I go out, at least two people will tell me I look like Rhianna, lol!!’....you’ve just got to put in the work, it’s slow at first but I promise you after six to eight weeks, you’ll see a difference in your overall well-being 💕

So many ppl among us want to alter their bodies, to get the "preferred beauty look. " when something like this happens, it's a strong indicator why we should embrace who we are in the bodies we are in. I've been exercising and eating healthier and I am happy with who I am. I know for some it's easier said than done.
