I don't know if I right guy to say it but you should have some lock on your upper cabinet... You can find some custom cover for replacement of curtain.. those things look cool .... Your Van is so cute 😜
I would suggest packing cubes for underwear instead of the bins to save space. Also do you really need 4 cups? If you host fellow van lifers they can bring their own cups and plates. I am not trying to be mean or anything, i just think you can downsize a little more so that you don't have to put things between the water tanks and have to take them out every time you want to empty the gray water. But i would suggest getting a blender. It's a must for smoothies!

Hi Claire. Your van is impressive. You may have to give up on the glassware. My most important question has to do with water and some extent, food. Five gallons of fresh water is very little for trying to live off the grid. Especially if you are staying in desert climates. You’ll lose more fluids faster especially with your active life style. Plus, how do you plan to manage water and showering? The smallest tanks I’ve seen recently on vans intended for long term use are 10 gallon fresh water, ten gallon waste water. Please share your thinking on your water resources. My reaction to your food management is based on the same thinking. If you’re boondocking far off grid, you might want to consider what dry foods you two like that just take water to repair, like instant oatmeal, or foods that keep fresh longer, while eating fresh foods when you’re in civilization. A dozen eggs don’t last very long even if they stay fresh four or more weeks. It’s only 3 meals worth for you both.
This so fabulous I wish I had the means and the time to do this, one thing where do you put your dirty laundry, and do you hand wash everything, or stop at laundromat to wash and dry them...?
I think the biggest thing about van life that had really shocked me over the past few years is the amount of absolutely beautiful women worldwide they are now living in vans . I mean 20 years ago this stereotypical van lifer what is the middle age bearded homeless drunk . Now that has entirely changed hell we have multitudes very gorgeous talented educated a sophisticated young women Living in vans some solo some with their men . Some women like yourself our categorizes the cheerleader type they wouldn't be caught dead living in a van . But Oh my how times have changed nowadays van life has become very sophisticated both in technology and luxury and I for one thing the changes are awesome. So baby welcome to the nomads of America :)

How do you do with your toilet and taking-a-shower needs? Cant imagine a van or whatever... without addressing these two basic human needs for personal hygiene...
I've been looking at these videos since the start of lockdown orders began.....the 3 options i see most van lifers do are 1: get gym membership that has locations all over the states for showers 2: bathe in rivers or lake if available 3: get solar shower or portable shower i.e. bag or bucket that holds water in sun to get warm........biggest thing with showering in a van or camper seems to be you have to be mindful of the amount of water you use and how long of showers you take, basically no showers longer than 5 to 7 mins depending on how much water you are carrying.........just what I've learned so far ,hope it helps 🙂
you can do the walmart + gym camping, its like a homeless in the city, just that you can sleep in a box with wheels. in the nature , you do your business in the woods in the morning or evening when there are less people or use a bottle or a bucket during day. shower solution : some use wet whipes... and from time to time a shower at the gym or the solar in nature , if its warm, you dont want solar shower in winter :)
I hate to say this Claire but please get a couple of weapons like a couple of single stack 9mm. You both are wonderful people and there is a lot of evil out there. You can get licenced and trained pretty much in any state except for maybe New York or California. My wife and I love you and will be praying for both of you.
What a beautiful van! For your plants, are you able to put the pots into another container that can hold water so that you water them from the bottom rather than directly on top? I found pretty rectangular metal ones at IKEA that are perfect. It allows the plants to draw water from their roots as they need it and no little bugs. Thats an awful lot of GLASS DISHES! I have yet to watch any REAL vanlifer videos/channels that have all those unnecessary dishes..its such a waste of space and pretty much overkill. Also, whats the deal with all the damn shoes?! Perhaps you should include your man alittle bit more and make him feel like he's a part of this journey.

Might want to change your curtains to the black out variety. It'll provide more privacy at night, better insulation when it gets cold.
