- Hi everyone. I'm out and about again on my quest and search to try and find Pianos in Pubs. The pub in this video is called 'The Walnut Tree' in Broads Green, Essex, England. The pubs are open and I'm on the hunt to see what pubs still have an old Piano in them. This is 'The Terry Miles Pub Piano Quest'. If anyone knows of any pubs with pianos in them then please do let me know and I'll go and play it. What I love about these videos is not just the fact he plays great piano in random pubs but we get to see some really cool pubs that we probably would never see. You could literally do a whole series just on discovering pubs

I bought my first car in, I think, 1977. It was a 1964 Hillman Minx. It cost me £150 and had the registration plate 650 DAN, and so I called it "Desperate Dan". It was only after I got rid of the car about 4 years later that I learned that the registration plate was worth a lot more than the car. I remember seeing the registration plate 649 DAN up for sale for £3,000. Rich people will pay ridiculous amounts of money just for a registration plate. I didn't know that then!

Oh wow, i've played that piano in 2018, glad to see it still soldering on. Played in F-sharp major, love the plunky sound from it. Can't think of any other pianos around that area but i'm planning to visit all the other pubs that way.

Bloody marvelous stuff! I used to drink at The Ferret and Firkin in Lotts Road, Chelsea many years ago. We always went on a Friday night so we listen and sing along to the guy on the Ivories!
