With a grand piano in really high humidity for a longer time, have you encountered corrosion and expansion of the lead weights in the keys and the damper flange? What was your solution?
With this piano, the key leads are fine, but I am going to recondition the underlever assembly (backaction), give him new damper felts and regulate. His dampers are hard as rocks. To answer your question better. I would normally replace this entire action, but due to his limited budget I’m left with making improvements. Yes, I’m using ProTek. It works very well providing you massage the flange and work it to break up the verdigris.
