As someone who would love to start in this industry, I think your videos are amazing and super informational! Also I had no idea Amazon Games was a thing but I'm looking forward to hearing more about their upcoming projects
i’m studying for comp sci major rn and i’m honestly scared of not being able to find an internship/job. seeing your videos and how happy you are in it makes me worry less, thank you so much for that!!
What are some of the top inspirations or gold-standard right now for monetization? certain AAA games? esports, mobile? or maybe something outside of games.
Currently being enrolled into a program for development and game design. But i iust wanted to know would you suggest and 16 months program ( what im enrolling in) or a 4yr program?
As youre responsible for the monetization draft of a currently developed game, will you be able to share what game it was, once its out? I'm was just thinking about leagues currency and skin shard system and how well its balanced so its at the same time both a good progression system and a feature to finance their work. (And its very interesting to see how they will adapt to their playerbase getting a generation change/eventually decrease and how they will handle that looking at that monetization system, what do you think?) Also a bit off topic: how much time are you spending outside with that husky? I have no clue about that race but always got scared by people telling me its a time consuming breed in that manner
Yes! I'll share the game once it's officially announced! Good monetization systems should never detract from core gameplay and should definitely evolve with the lifecycle of the players. Well designed ones also tie in nicely with a game's retention loop so a simple example of that could be in-game events that encourage players to login daily during a specific time period. Similar to ur example season or battle passes are also systems that tie in a progression element to it. When it comes to the lifecycle of your players you'll def want to adjust monetization with them! Content offerings to someone who's played 10 hrs should look different to someone who's played 100 hrs, but it also largely depended on the type and genre of the game itself as well. My Husky's name is Andrew! He was about 3 yrs old when I adopted him a couple years ago. Normally I wouldn't want to have a winter dog in LA but he was already at the shelter and I think he was in LA most of his life already. I would say generally huskies are known to be a lot of work, as a breed they tend to need more exercise and are known for being super chatty and sassy. I think I got super lucky bc my husky is super lazy and not chatty (he's a little sassy tho!). I'll take him for long walks when the sun isn't fully up yet and on avg he gets about 4mi of walking a day. It seems to be fine for him bc he just lounges and naps all day when we're inside haha.
I'm so glad you like New World! I've chatted with folks on that team to learn a lot from them. And the game I work on isn't announced yet but once it is I'll definitely share it! :)
Hey I subscribed to you a while ago because I would like to go into the job as you and I have two questions is this job a good job to go into and did Amazon send you those gifts for free.
Hi! I’m still relatively new to the job still but so far I’ve genuinely enjoyed it :) And yes they send me all that stuff for free (but I have to return the laptop if I leave)
It’s a reupload! Had to tweak a couple things from the last one so just to be extra safe on not accidentally over sharing on stuff that can’t be shared yet
What's your daily average screen time.... U have so beautiful eyes.... 🖤 Being a game developer most of them have dark circles but your eyes are so pretty... What the secret behind it... Haha.... ✨✨
You should become a full time content creator if that's what you want to do. You have the production skills and you're still in your prime. Amazon is so far beneath you
Hi. My student Dionie is doing a project on the History of Video Games and would like to interview you, if possible, about your journey into video game development and any tips you may have for someone who wants to be a developer. Would you be interested in doing a quick virtual interview with my student? He's a senior who is interested in potentially pursuing a career in this field. We would greatly appreciate it.
It doesnt feel like a job honestly, all u do i do meetings. Or myabe u didnt show us what u actually work on, then why call it a day in my life if its not what u actually do?
Scheduling all your meetings on one day is definitely a pro gamer move 🤯 Also so jealous of all the cool stuff Amazon sent you! Really cool video 😊
😹 thank you!! ❤️
This is so exciting to watch as currently I'm in the process of becoming a game engineer. Thank you for this!
Wishing you good luck and hope to see you in the industry someday!

Meeting days are rough, but glad you still found time to step away from your desk even for a few seconds and end the day with a movie!
Yah they are surprisingly so tiring! Ending the day with a marvel movie was the move 😎
why is there nothing new in game design?
What was the tool you were using, looks like a super helpful tool
What are some of the top inspirations or gold-standard right now for monetization? certain AAA games? esports, mobile? or maybe something outside of games.
what do you do most of your coding on Laptop or desktop? what are your desktop specs?
She is not a programmer
She is behind the monetization, so skins, DLC, expansions, their prices and (financial) scopes, collabs...
Sooo goood!!! More please!!!!
Noah!!!! Will do!! ♥️
