hey brian, love the content. Im currenrly in university and trying to figure new things because my major isn't interesting in my opinion and I feel like that plays a big role in being committing to doing the work that come along. My next move is data science or computer science. When you went to university, did you already have experience coming in or how was your journey like to get that degree? I would appreacitat if you could answer my question! Hope all is well.
My friend, you are wonderful in performing your life, designing your intelligence, and the program that follows, and I wish you more success and success in work, and I am working on reaching and studying programming. Good luck my friend ☺️👏
Good luck to you too my friend!
Don't miss the new one th-cam.com/video/vrr8RmAvyVo/w-d-xo.html :D

Dude just got my first Software Engineering Internship this summer. Your videos get me so excited to start working!! Also please show me how to make that Chat GPT ios shortcut ☺️
That’s exciting ! Best of luck 🤞 Oh and you can find it in the description :)
Big fan of your work and career path!
I’m definitely looking into programming and coding and will be taking a few coursers.

Great video, Brian. Fellow software engineer and Houstonian here ✌🏻🤘🏻
Awesome, man! Love to see Houston in the comments 😅 Where are you working at now?
Your desk is so clean ❤
Thanks for the arc link!
Another great video. I like your video so much I willingly sit through the ads 😂😂😂 How the commute been since it’s getting warmer?
Hahah thanks for the support!! ❤️ good point!Honestly going to have to make some changes now. Will probably have to take extra clothes in the AM. we’ll see in a future vid 😅
I honestly love seeing these things because even though I graduate school in a year for comp sci, I'm still not exactly sure what a software engineer does and I kinda don't want to design websites.
Yeah, software development is more than just websites. You can really get into whatever you like!
Great video! BTW, What is the extension dock you use to display on 2 extra monitors?
HP DiplayLink. find all my gear here 😊 b-r.io/gear
you are amazing! love your routine. Such an inspiration)
Thanks for watching! What do you enjoy seeing most?
@@brianruizy thanks for follow up!
I'm on a journey of growing as a software engineer)
Would love to see reviews of best practices which are relevant to the industry and how those could help us to improve the product and bring more joy to the process of creating it.
Hey man, nice video! Could you tell me a bit about your bike? It looks amazing. Thanks. :)
Could you do a desk tour?? I work in a similar role and would like to know what you think your essentials are for your desk!
Thanks for the video idea :) Im thinking of doing something similar!
really like your video and the vibe in it. keep doing it!
Thanks! Will do. Don't miss the new one :)
Instantly subscribed after seeing this video! I'm really curious on how you've setup your Notion. I'm using it as well but I lack inspiration to organise everything. And at first glance your workspace looks a great fit for mine as well! You mind doing a video about that?
Thanks for tuning in, and welcome aboard! 🙌
Yeah that was me too, so it took a bit of effort to setup my Notion pages how I wanted. I will maybe do a video breaking that down 😊
@@brianruizy I hope that maybe will change to a definitely 🙈. Anyways, glad I've found your channel, keep it up!
First time watching this channel .. I love the vibe.
A tool I pretty much would never want to be without is Raycast. So powerful. It's a spotlight replacement + a whole lot more.
I’ll def check that one out! Lots of others have recommended it too. Have you tried Alfred? Is it better than that?
@@brianruizy I was a die-hard alfred fan for a long time. I like raycast much, much more.
Just downloaded it! Thanks 😊
love your content. Just subscribed. Good luck!
Welcome aboard! 😅
YOU'RE BACK! I thought you left us already. Fire video bro
I couldn’t do that! Too much love and support from this community 🙌
Thanks for watching, bro
Very clean video amigo! Enjoyed it! Let’s win! 🏆
Thanks for dropping by, man! I enjoy your content as well👌
Arrived at 9 AM and left at 5PM. What a great life. This is unheard of at my workplace.
I don’t think it’s too uncommon. Are you also a SWE? What city are you in?
It was a great video, Brian Riz, keep it up. 👍 Hopefully, we'll see you in a future video📹. BTW, this is my first time watching your TH-cam video
Welcome aboard!
Another great video, keep doing this good videos buddy 👍 👏
Thanks for the support! 😁
HI Brian, thank you so much for your inspirational and very professional insights. What is your hardware for filming?
No thank you for tuning in with me 😁. You can find all my gear here b-r.io/gear. Hope that helps
Regarding your TH-cam ideas. I can't wait to see the modern desk set up and EDC.
😅 you took a peek at those. Stay tuned!
Wow, stunning format
Glad you liked it! 😅
Your videos are always a delight to watch! If you give up being a SWE, defo become a full time content creator!
That’s the thing! I don’t think I can give that up 😮 Want to find a good balance for both..
Thanks for the support! 😊
My boy is so clean with it!!! 🐐
Thanks, Kevin 🤜🤛
You make us wait for these videos 😂but it’s worth it. Adelante!
Sorry about that! 🤣 more to come soon, though 🙌
Good, you are back.👍🏿Don't have us waiting this long again. I was concern about your well being. You could post shorts, in that way We know You doing well.👍🏿👍🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Thanks for the idea and for waiting on me 😁
What terminal template are you using in ohmyzsh? i like to see the github simbol and branch there!
Hey Brian, amazing setup you got! Please what’s the name of the white monitor arm you use for your work dual pc setup
You can find it on my gear list here b-r.io/gear 👍
Your video quality is great, which vlog camera using ?
Thank you! Using Nikon Z6 not really a “vlog” camera but it gets the job done ✅ b-r.io/gear
hi how did you make that wallpaper with the weather and the alarm in the first few seconds of the video?
I love your videos what a vibe and inspiration keep up the good work! Already looking forward to the next video.
You do so by setting up a sleep schedule on iOS. Hope this helps 👍 support.apple.com/en-us/HT211685
@@brianruizy Tks
Hey brian ! could you tell me where can buy your standing desk ?😅 Because I need a lot of time to learn my programming language and study which make me neck, shoulders and back pains. Thank you.😅
hii in fact your videos are very motivating keep to made such videos and again thank you for everything
It's my pleasure. What do you like most?
Amazing video, thanks 💯
Thank you! For tuning in :)
Good video. Keep on going man!
Thanks for watching, and dropping off a comment! 🙌
Great vid!, whats ur font-family in vsc?, code looking clean
Here you go. Checked just for you!
Menlo, Monaco, 'Courier New', monospace
@@brianruizy I really appreciate it bro. Keep it up!
that one is actually a default for me. But the terminal font family I did modify. Using "MesloLGS NF"
Hi, nice video ! can i ask you what is your app for your bike ? its so smoothhh ^^
Thanks! So it’s just the cowboy bike app. But I don’t think you can use it as a standalone app. But maybe it’s worth a shot
Man I really love your content!
Glad to hear it! What aspect do you like most? 😊
Hey nice video and tools. I am DevOps Engg and use lot of similar tools as well. I really like your chillzone and your semi couch for book reading which is towards the end of the video. could you tell me what exactly it is called as and from where you got that thing ?
thanks for tuning in! How do you like the DevOps world? That’s something I should learn more of lol. Link for the couch in description 👍
An alternative terminal for MacOS should be Warp. I'm using it from 6 months and it's amazing.
That one seems cool and modern, definitely going to try it out. Thanks for the recommendation! 😁
Whoaaaa I am in love. So awesome.
I have finished react js several month ago now building a personal project is it advised to google everything, use stack overflow and use chatgpt as I get blank memory when it comes to building projects and going back and forth for three years now would be grateful for some advise Thanks
Brian Please Post more often I’m addicted to your videos 😢
😓😅 I’m working on it. Thanks for the support Zain!
@@brianruizy 🥺❤️
You should upload videos more frequently because they are amazing!
Thanks Adrian! That’s my goal right now, to be a little more consistent. What parts do you like most btw??
Your notion looks next level!
It’s been a work in progress 😅 do you use it a lot too?
@@brianruizy Yup. I use it for everything! Work, travel, shopping, lol. Find it very useful to organize stuff, rather than have chunks of info. about everywhere.
One thing I'm sturggling with, though, is the ability to search my Notion for keywords, to find where I put a specific info. Do you have a trick for that?
Hi friend, your video is great! I have a little question for you: what kind of usb-c dock do you use in your office? Thank you very much and have a nice day!
It's an HP Display Link Hub. You can find it here b-r.io/gear 👍
What are these for monitors you use in the dual monitor setup?
monitors are Dell UltraSharp U2722D, btw you can find all my other gear here b-r.io/gear 👍
Hello, I am a front-end web coder in Tokyo, Japan.
Your videos are cool and I always look forward to watching them.
I use some of the tools you have introduced and they make my work more productive. There are a few tools I didn't know about yet and I will try them out next time.Thank you.
Awesome that you watch from Tokyo! 🇯🇵 glad you found some of those helpful. Have any recommendations for me to try?
@@brianruizy I think the Macbook default app is excellent. I use a lot of them at work, especially Notepad and Reminders. I like the fact that the tagging function was recently added to Notepad, so I can use a single tag across multiple folders. Reminders has recently added a hierarchical management feature as well.
@@mukku-81 yeah very true, I use default apps all the time to. Just wish Mail had a couple more upgrades.
Hi! How did you customize your iphone locked screen like that? :) Btw great videos!
Are you talking about the alarm at the start? Gave me the idea of maybe doing a “what’s on my iPhone video” 😅
Brian thank you for showing a realistic day in a life, and especially embracing AI, as a SWE. Many people try to shun and avoid AI especially ChatGPT because it'll "take peoples jobs away", but instead they don't see how it can really improve your productivity and accuracy in whatever you're doing while working. Great job!
You couldn’t have said it better! Even the OpenAI founder says it’s supposed to be a tool. But of course you have to learn and adapt
Can you add a video on your body care routine and products you used
Yes of course! I can start showing more of that 👍
Wow, that's so usefull. I regularly write linked list implementations in python!!
Hadn’t used copilot before??!
@brianruizy I did use it and found it pretty useless because of the field I'm working in. My comment was sarcastic because no one need to write linked lists in python :)
Based on my experience, If your field of work any different from standard webapps/basic datascience, all that AI stuff will produce garbage because of lack of the data it can operate on.
Gotcha 😂 yeah had a feeling it was /s. But true, it’s only good for boilerplate kinda stuff. I never write linked lists either lol
Would be useful when it could eventually understand your codebase. But even that raises some privacy concerns
would you happen to know where I can find the lamp you have for your reading nook? :)
oh some of the tips you shared are very helpful. however I hope you can turn the background music down a bit to hear the speech more clearly.
What type of monitors do you have in office? it is 27"? Which city is that? I liked 😊
for api testing postman is very important tools for me
Very true! Missed that one
Great content i like you video. I have quick question somebody who love computer programming but never ever learn anything and want to begin the coding journey, from where the would have to start from scratch?
I’d recommend freecodecamp.org if starting from zero. Check it out!
Clean deadlift form man!
Haha thanks! It’s decent, but I learned the hard way 😮
@@brianruizy haha, currently getting over an injury for the same reason
What is that bike? I love it!
Animal o seu conteúdo irmão! Parabéns…. 🎉
Thank you for watching watching! 😁👌
What kind of bike are you riding in the beginning of the video?
The morning looked so healthy and cozy.
That was the idea I was going for 😅😊
@@brianruizy Meanwhile, I just drink some coffee and go straight for coding.
@@kehan6252 😅 thats me sometimes too, though! Thanks for watching btw
Thats my drean workspace man, looks so comfy
Hope you can reach your goals 🤞
Okay I gotta know. What bike are you using?
It’s by cowboy.com 👍
