hey Morgan you're videos on point. I've had my estate kit for 4 months now and I haven't had issues. I'm an aircraft mechanic so maintenance and troubleshooting are fairly easy for me. some things I think they could improve upon.
    1. fit and finish is like 90% there. the parts look and feel well made, but the final finishing needs some love.
    2. the installation instructions are garbage. I had to rework a couple of the steps to do a better job.
    3. this is only for the starter kit with no generation. the rivets they send are about 2 dash lengths to short and are wayyy to hard. there is no way you could buck them with just a hammer and a punch. I ended up using aviation rivets and they seem to be working.
overall I'd recommend the starter kit only with no generation. it's saved me alot of energy especially on the steep stuff. I think they did a descent job if your willing to deal with some hassle getting it installed.

I’d have to agree 90% on this issue. We’ve been in communications since you started I did mine the exact same time we had similar problems. I went a different route and use the OEM fly wheel and OEM stater and re-riveted the starter gear. Seems my friends that all got the stater and fly wheel the more expensive kit had
nothing but problems. Would I do it again Ahh. I have to say that I probably started my bike 2000 times and I’ve already eaten one starter.

Couldn’t agree more with you. I bought the Panthera E start for my CR500 and found out the hard expensive way that it is junk. Stator never made correct spark at high RPM causing a bad misfire. Very hard to diagnose, but ended up figuring out the Panthera stator was arc’ing to the crankcase and grounding out. Changed back to my OEM stator and put the kick start back on and haven’t looked back. Bike runs great and pulls hard again.

Approximately 160 hours on mine.... Had the original stator go bad at about 10 hours, replaced under warranty. Original starter motor went bad shortly thereafter and was replaced under warranty... it went bad right away. Went through 2 DB Electrical starters in about the next 40 hours, and both died due to getting moisture in the starter. (do a lot of river crossings) Now I have a cheap ebay starter on it that has lasted the entire summer. Get a few drips every now and then from where the wires go through the rubber grommet. Other than that, I can't imagine being without it now. Yes it was a pain in the ass in the beginning, Yes it's overpriced and Yes I would do it all over again as there is currently no other options out there for our bikes. If I didn't absolutely love my Steel frame, Big Bore, SSS suspension bike, I would definitely buy a Sherco or Beta. No Orange or White bikes in my future.... They have their own set of problems.

Love your vids. Started following you when I got my panthera kit and found your videos. I want a japanese, carbed, estart woods 2 stroke, and this is the only way I see. I am also a tinkerer. I don't mind having to work on my stuff when I ride (when I have time). I have the leak at the grommet, stator went out, starter went out, wires pulled out of connector b/c they were too short, starter button went bad, etc. Sebastien engineered a great product, but he spec'd garbage for all the electronics and he knows it but is too much of a dick to admit/fix it. I actually think it's all fixable if you are persistent. There is a thread on thumpertalk where folks have found quality replacements for all his chinese garbage.

as usual. If you are not, winning races, don’t blame the bike and start into the aftermarket, experimenting with unproven over the long haul designs.. oh sure, you may be able to do some cylinder modifications that make the bike feel and sound like it’s making more power, and it might even be making more power, but in a more concentrated power band that is not complemented by the gear ratios in your gearbox .. what good is it to have three more horsepower at 3000 RPMs higher than stock, with the loss of 6 hp from your low rpm grunt? .. it’s not a practical trade off ..Believe it, or not, the factory knows more than you do. The factory has spent millions to make a machine that is powerful and reliable. They want a good reputation so they can continue to stay in business .. aftermarket companies can only dream about having a R&D department with millions invested in development equipment with real engineers ..
Leave your bike stock, and concentrate on improving your riding skills.. concentrate on setting up your suspension better, concentrate on setting up each corner to have a higher exit speed, concentrate on being in the right gear at the right rpm, Concentrate on your braking skills, and stop falling for gimmicks…
I modified my road racing machine into a useless power of junk my first year. I was blaming the bike for me not winning, actually, it was me that was slow…
I started my second season on a box stock, engine/exhaust/airbox equipped machine.. over the next seven years, I won six championships, and two time. National champion on a totally stock running machine… I sometimes got protested, accused of cheating, because my machine was one or 2 miles an hour faster than the next fastest machine in TopSpeed by radar. actually, my bike wasn’t faster, the competition made their bikes slower by going for gimmicks..
of course I upgraded suspension and tires, but I would not deviate from Stock inside that engine.. I did a little things to the bike like 10 weight motor oil in the wheel bearings. light oil in the gearbox. Higher tire pressures, new broken in chains. A worn chain and sprockets can cost you as much as 6 hp ask any dynamometer operator about that.
since my engine was totally stock , it was reliable, and I finished races, and actually learned how to ride, Street bike riding is nothing like racetrack riding .. Believe me, you have never been there in the street. Your brain is not used to processing information at that speed until you’ve been there especially the closing speeds with that first gear corner coming up at the end of the sixth gear top speed straight.. Braking is the hardest thing to Master.. I learned how to pick lines, read the surface of the road, how to really use the brakes, how to set up every corner to have the highest exit speed.. part of my success was due to the fact that my competitors were modifying their machines, making them slower and less than reliable in many cases..
everybody blames the bike first for not winning.. it’s not your bike, it’s you that is slow..

I thought all your other videos were pretty positive of the unit and you kept it real that this is what happened, this is what you might need to do etc. A company saying to take those down, LOL What they should have done is provided you support in maybe helping them find the issues and get feedback and fix the issues and when they fix the issues send you another unit and probably compensate you for YOUR time in doing so. which could have lead to a lot more videos for YOU, and even though you are keeping it real still they are fixing the product and showing they are a great company that stands behind their product. Tells me they really didn't test their product all that much in the real world before selling them.
Isn't this the same company that makes the 500CC engines too? I was seriously considering one of those kits...thought it be a great rental to have as it would be unique. I'll stay away from that idea now.

They are the same. After dealing with the owner, I will never give them another penny. I tried to explain that I was understanding how small they are and how new the product was and was just trying to help the customers out. But he got super angry and was nothing but an ass. I asked if he had actually watched the videos because they were positive to the company and he told me it didn’t matter. That my thumbnails were too mean. I didn’t post this vid until now because I was still pulling for them until recently when this bike just kept having issues and they wanted money for the stator and for me to pay to ship the flywheel back.

Sebastian is a jerk, I've had a run in with multiple issues with the starter kit. Every time i asked for help he blamed me. Wire harness too short, my fault. Stater bad, my fault. The YZ is meant to be a simple MX bike. You can piss thousands of dollars away trying to turn the YZ into a Beta or KTM but it's still a motocross machine. I may have had a different opinion if the Pantera system worked as advertised but it didn't. I ride Beta now, no regrets on the purchase. Thanks Sebastian, you pushed me to a new bike.

Pretty bias position he paints. Sounds like he had issues with the starter. And everything after that was because of the electric start. Just thinking about something doesn't make it so. He says that the kid likely could've ran it down the road wide-open throttle or in third beer right open problem not knowing how to shift or whatever. But then immediately dismiss dismiss is it for no reason. If it's not a brand new bike or the brand new build. I get you had issues and it sucks. But I've seen too many units that work flawlessly to believe this crap. To me it's a little bit like TPI. They work out the kinks early on there were some issues and that has been acknowledged. But now if you get one and have an issue it's immediately blamed on it. Not very scientific.
