Red Rock Canyon 50k Ultra - 3rd Place Finish!!

- In this episode of Mountain High Adventures on TH-cam we take on the Red Rock Canyon 50k Ultra hosted by Desert Grown Racing. The race took place November 12th, 2022, in Red Rock Canyon, just outside of Las Vegas, NV. There was lots of anticipation and build up before this race. All the local runners came out to support and there was a strong showing from out of towners too. I had a great race and came in 3rd place! Before the race I went around and interviewed a bunch of the runners, including Alex Honnold, who went on to have a great race and he finished 5th! Links below for more info...

Amazing video! I'm planning on running this year. Is the trail technical enough to warrant trail runners, or did you just use regular running shoes?
The trail through Red Rock, basically the first 15 miles is very rocky and technical, definitely wore max cushion trail runners. Hoka Speedgoats. Thank you! 🙏🏼

I did, I asked everyone the same 3 questions whether I knew them or not.
@@mountainhighadventures yes I got that, but then you exclaimed "Honnold" at the start of the run. I thought you realized it was him once you started running. Did I get that wrong?
@@robnierreyes7197 oh yeah, I knew he was running the race, but I didn’t realize he was right behind me while I was filming. I looked up and realized he was right next to me, that’s when I exclaimed “oh, it’s Honnold!”
