- Rob takes the train from Manchester to Glasgow Scotland for one of his patented watch prowls. We first begin with a little sightseeing, then enter the Argyle Arcade, home of some awesome watch shops, including James Porter & Son and Rox. Watches seen include the Zenith Pilot Chronograph, Bulgari Octo Roma Chronograph, Chopard Mille Miglia Chronograph, Nomos Tangente 38 and the incredible Czapek Antartique Passage de Drake.
We then head up Buchanon Street and browse more watch stores including Laings Jewellers and Tudor, until hunger takes over and we go to Four Seasons restaurant for some Vietnamese Pho. One quick stop at Swatch to check for new Omega Moonswatches, and finally at Glasgow Watch Co to have a sit-down with director Ryan, who shows us beautiful pre-owneds including the Rolex platinum Daytona, the Patek Philippe Aquanaut, and the Rolex GMT Master Two "Sprite." Finally, we have a browse at some of his pre-owned luxury watches for sale before heading back to Glasgow Central Station to return to Manchester.
One of our best Watch Prowls so far!

"So Ryan, how did you get started with this business?" "Well, my dad..." every time.
Not always! 😁
@@RobtheAmerican Not absolutely always, but in Glasgow if someone is that successful that young, it's a lot of help from Dad.
I noticed that lots of new watch companies started when watch prices skyrocketed. They only sell Rolex’s and other hype brands just to make quick money.
Wow, so much competition in Glasgow, especially arcade area. G8 video as ever 🔥
Thank you! Glasgow exceeded expectations!
Nice walk about a cool city . I was in trying on that czapek around 3 years ago and it was 20 k now 24 k it’s absolutely obscene the price hikes . There is little wonder so many people have left the hobby in the last few years , the greed within the Swiss watch industry is astonishing.
Thanks for the video Rob, great content as always!
Unbelievable, just watching this video, and was walking in Buchcanon St, and the arcade only today looking at watches. Mainly Tudor and Longines. Saw the Nomos collection in the arcade as well.
Glad to see you managed up here on one of our sunnier days 😂
A nice take on the watch enthusiast channel. Like the content, nice 1
I really appreciate the kind words!
have bought some watches in the past from Chisolm hunter always had good service , i bought my current favourite from the omega glasgow store last year (my favourite brand ) a green seaweed model all green inc strap what a stunning watch
Some lovely watches there!! I love the aquanaut especially on the orange strap, sadly well out of my price range unless the lottery gods bless me. Great stuff again. Cheers.
Good luck with the lottery...the watches await!
Thanks for the video Rob. I'm a little tired of seeing watch dealers all having the same type of stock, mostly being Rolex and AP and a lot of gold. I know it's not their fault as they are only stocking what the market wants but at the same time, once you've seen a gold Daytona or AP Royal Oak, you've seen them all 🥱🥱
Subscribed! I love your energy!
Thank you!
Can't beat Pho! If you come to Brighton (which has a nice watch and jewelry quarter in the south Laines) there is a great pho place on Trafalgar Street near the train station , it's called Milk No Sugar but don't be deceived it's all about the pork pho
Thanks for the head's up. I'll add Brighton to my list!
Great video as always. That platinum Daytona is stunning. Which was your favourite of the 3?
My favorite was the Aquanaut 100% 🔥.
That guy was totally clueless.
"I like that watch, because it has a blue dial and it's heavy" !!
why does cyma never get a mention. my old triplex just as good as the mentioned makes
Never actually seen a Cyma watch in person.
Glasgow is grim
@@sandersson2813 one of the coolest cities out there that’s a fact l
@@shattmapantz2969 If you say so, that's your opinion, but it's my opinion it's an ugly, deprived, grim, wet, grey city with a lot of ghastly people, religious bigotry and a chip on its shoulder.
Of course it has a few nice areas, but so does everywhere, doesn't necessarily make up for the crap.
Glad you like it, but I don't.
@@sandersson2813 don’t have a clue and sounds as if you are around 14 years of age , certainly not exercising any form of mental maturity . But then again it’s each to their own .
@@shattmapantz2969 I'm not the one who types like he doesn't even have basic English qualifications.
The sort of person who thinks Glasgow is an impressive city is the same sort of person who hasn't really travelled very much and hasn't experienced other cities in other countries and therefore can't see the issues Glasgow so demonstrably has.
It's an opinion, and mine is worth just as much as yours. Just because we differ in opinion, doesn't mean I don't have a point. You don't have to agree.
@@sandersson2813I’ve travelled to every major city in the world. Glasgow out performs most of them. It’s also the most liveable city in the UK for a number of reasons. You need get a few more destinations ticked off and get your mind focused before you make a final decision on Glasgow please
