Can't think of the 222 as a Sports watch with no screw down crown and only 50m WR. Also find it weird that it is one of the very few VC watches with a hacking movement and doesn't have a second hand! I bought an Overseas blue dial recently and was worried I would have buyers remorse. I don't think that I do (Although I wish it had a hacking complication.) I also tried the he Fifty Six with the steel bracelet and couldn't believe how shiny it was, Dress watch for sure!

When people realize, AP and Patek sells directly to Gray market dealers and they jack up the price. VC is a true watch maker they produce only 20K watches a year and the price realistic, it is time for people to start collecting it, future is super bright for appreciation. The 1977 version of 222 steel goes for $140K now. You make the math.

I was able to pickup my VCO last December. All I did was put my name on the list. It took around 3 years before I got the notification that I'm allowed to put a deposit and the unit will arrive in 2-3 months. I'm interested if the blue dial of the 222 is the same as with the Fifty six blue since it is quite muted.

I love the gold 222, but I’m still warming up to the steel version. I wish the dial popped as much as the overseas, it’s too flat and does not stand out enough compared to the Royal Oak and the Nautilus.
