I was so scared that Lucy would be taken back by her previous "owner". Puppy mill owners always pretend to be nice people. But nice people don't breed animals repeatedly for profit. Glad Lucy can stay at the Asher house and live a wonderful life!!

Exactly.......I really don’t think he was all that nice because Lucy wasn’t excited to see him. I guess he might have a heart somewhere in there cuz he let her stay . I hope all the other dogs he probably has get rescued soon.

@@siam5579 Maybe it was his (former owner's) heart; maybe Lee unconsciously assisted him in his choice-making. He would never say so, and if unconscious know so, but I've got a feeling....
I get you on that one. I have a guy that works for me that runs one, and I can't bare to hear him talk about. He's an otherwise great employee and it's a free country. I've just made it clear not something to be discussed on the job.

Lucy just sat there quietly looking up at you like she understood every word you were saying. You can see the gratitude and love she has for the Asher family.
I rescued Cassie, an always-caged dog and brought her home to our huge house and yard--no cages. She had the complete run of the place. A few months later, the previous owner wanted to see my property to see if she had placed her always-caged dog properly. I took her out on the deck to see the yard. We both sat down and suddenly, Cassie jumped into my lap. She had never done that before and never did it again. She was telling me not to send her back to that woman and her cage. And, of course, I didn't.

I really hate those cages. They’re often smaller than the space they’d get at the pound.
@@andicantu6490 She could hardly turn around in that cage. I couldn't leave without her, even though I wasn't sure before I went there to see about adopting her if I was even going to do it or not. Then I saw the cage and they even TOLD me she stayed in the cage all day except when they let her out to pee. I was sickened like you would be. I took her home right then.
This is what Lucy was communicating to her owner (at least in my viewpoint) she wanted to stay with Lee. Smart dog! : )

I lost my dog/baby a month ago. He was only7lbs and was attacked by a husky at the park. Both dogs weren't on leashes while mine was. When I confronted the woman, all of a sudden she didn't speak English. Omg I wanted to do some damage or at least let her feel what I feel. But in the end I couldn't do it. I have to believe that goodness still prevails and karma will do it's thing. You guys are doing great, keep up the goodness!

He couldn't have been too bad or he would have taken Lucy. I'm so thankful to him for blessing her and Lee by letting go. I chose to be like Lee and view this positively.

Hi Lety. I agree with you 100%. It took a lot of guts for him to go to Lee's home. I think Lee is too trusting, because he is such a nice guy. That man came off as nice and polite according to Lee, well, so did Ted Bundy. Most abusers and narcissists come off as charming and gentle. Remember Lee was so upset driving her he had to try to hide his emotions from Her? And he stated she had wounds on her head. Lucy was completely Spiritually broken. That man did that to her! I am not as nice as Lee when abuse is apparent, and I would not have been as nice as Lee. The guy actually should have had charges brought against him for abuse and neglect. Thankfully she is forever with Lee, as it should be. God bless. ~

My heart sank when you said Lucy's owners wanted her back, I remember how sad and scared she was when you first picked her up and how settled she is now. I am so happy the owner changed his mind and let Lucy stay with you and your pack...thank God! Sending love and hugs to Lucy and the rest of the pack

I would have been tempted to say she had already been spayed and so not hood to him.
If he was a good man you don't make dogs have puppies time after time, giving their bodies no time to heal or rest between pregnancies, they start them too young and make them continue until they are way past their time to stop.

Yes Sally....that man allowed his HEART to win.......on this occasion.....and allowed Lee to Keep Lucy for good. Thank God and Bless his heart EVERYDAY that he may continue to soften and grow in awareness and compassion for his dogs, so that he will stop treating them cruelly.

Lee is so inspiring. He admits his faulty tendencies and gives people the benefit of the doubt, learning and sharing wisdom along the way. Lucy is one lucky dog to have a friend like him.

We shouldn't give people the benefit of the doubt. The evidence was clear that the owner abused this dog. HE should actually be in jail and prevented from ever breeding again. My mom got a puppy from what she thought was a "reputable" breeder even though she had misgivings about the amount of space given to the animals. Low and behold, 5 years later, the "reputable" breeder" was shut down by the STATE (the story was all over the news) for hoarding animals and mistreating the dogs who were being bred. There's no good breeders.
So beautiful how Lucy lovingly sat and listened to your every word! Just like my golden! She was telling you thank you thank you thank you!

I can see beautiful Lucy standing by Lee's side looking at him adoringly with dove's eyes. Asher House is full of goodness and mercy, love and compassion. Lee, continue in your good work and may God bless your tender heart that is touching many lives all across the world.
The fact that she didn't show any emotion when her owner came to get her speaks volumes.... Congratulations Lucy!
I think she DID show emotion.
I think she showed horror at his arrival and looked at Lee to save her - and the old owner actually saw it, recognised it - and had enough decency left within, to realise that Lucy hated the idea of going back, and leaving Lee.
And unlike many puppy farmers, this man still had a little piece of soul that didn't value an animal by dollars they could produce, still living quietly in his heart.
Sadly, he will probably replace her with a new puppy female goldie.
But Lucy gets an early retirement in a dog paradise, where her only work, is enjoying herself.
@@georgielancaster1356 It's really easy to make assumptions at how bad someone may be, because it's often easier than facing or trying to learn the truth. We don't really know what went on with the previous owner and Lucy, for all we know the prior owner does love dogs, but just doesn't really know them as well as he may like or want to. I feel like Lee learned enough to be able to trust him to at least see Lucy.
It's easy to want to help a dog that seems troubled. The prior owner may have had Lucy for a few years, I'm not sure but might have known she had issues but no idea how to help fix them. It's obvious he saw a completely new and different Lucy than the one he knew, and knew without a doubt that she not only needs to be with Lee, but deserves to be here, because she's happy here and that may have been something he never really got to see before.

He's a scumbag who abused her. And he's probably abusing more animals, since he calls himself a breeder. He needs a few years in jail and to be prohibited from going anywhere near any animal ever again.

What an amazing ending for Lucy and Lee!!! And it's quite possible that the previous owner was truly touched by Lee's Love for Lucy and the Pack... It's very possible that Now, every time he looks at his own dogs, he will think of Lucy and Lee and Lee's Pack. It's highly likely, that the stark contrast in the level of Love, care, compassion and quality of life, will play on his mind and heart every single time he looks at his own dogs. And most likely, that guy has and will continue to be, changed, from meeting and spending time with Lee, seeing the immense change for the better in Lucy, and seeing the happiness of the entire Pack and realizing the immense, stark, black and white, day and night difference, that genuine Love, Care and Passion can make, to the Quality of Life and Happiness of Dogs.
Yes, without doubt, that man is profoundly affected in a positive light and consciously and sub consciously, this Light will create deep and profound change. When you throw a stone into water - it creates ripples. Seeing the Light in another will spark the Light in you 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

Lee, In the first video about Lucy you thought the previous owner had overbred, and might(?) have abused/hit and dumped her. The previous owner did the right thing in letting you keep her and we all applaud that decision and thank him. I appreciate your positivity, as we all do, but the condition in which you first found Lucy was pretty grim. However to your point, I suppose you would have had to give Lucy back to the original owner had he insisted, so his decision shows that there can be good in everyone and we’re grateful she’s able to stay with the pack.

I have 2 dogs who are rescues. My poodle was also caged and was being bred to a cocker spaniel. When I got her she was emaciated and full of fleas and ticks. The rescue organization got her and her 5 week puppy and she was pregnant. I renamed her and worked hard socializing her with people and other dogs. She was scared of everything and everyone. It took a year for her to come out of her shell. Now 9 years later she’s everyone’s friend and loves playing with her little brother who’s mom was rescued from a shelter before she was to be euthanized. It’s such a sad world that innocent animals are treated like disposable commodities. I love my two fur babies and when they lay next to me I can feel the love energy flowing from them. Every day they both like to go out into the backyard to sunbathe and patrol the yard thank you for rescuing so many needy, loving souls. I watch your videos when I need a positive feeling ❤

Lee is a bigger person than me because I don't think I could have been pleasant with someone who treated a dog like this.
@@gerardinecizmar I understand that but I'm sure that, in the moment, like Lee, you would do whatever was needed to get what was best for the dog. Honesty isn't always the best policy. Sometimes expediency has to supercede it and if it meant reigning in your feelings to do it I think that's what you would have done.

I'm going to share something I rarely share I have been abused it affects you physically and if you can recover from it physically if you are fortunate enough to you never recover from it spiritually mentally emotionally I'm thankful to God I was able to help myself that in itself was very tough you can become traumatized trapped in being sad someone so close to you like the skin on your body they could hurt you in such a way not even flinch about it I say this to you because I cannot even bear the pain of animals children that cannot help themselves situations such as this I'm so thankful to God LEE put himself in such a place to keep on fighting for Lucy no matter what he heard or saw in front of him A Close call INDEED but now its 4EVER OVER nothing but rainbows sunny skies happy hearts safety love peace for LucyDiamonds ln sky👍🐾
