    I'm sorry but Jon Jones' 2011 campaign not being on the list is straight up ludicrous. He submitted Bader to earn the title shot, TKO'd Shogun to become the youngest ever champion in UFC history, submitted Rampage then choked out Machida. 4 wins all by stoppage including 3 title victories and 2 title defenses against former champions no less. I honestly think it should have been number 1 on the list.

He beat a bad matchup for him in Brunson, got the torched passed to him by Silva, had one of the greatest fights in history with Gastélum (my personal favorite ever), and KO’d the Reaper. Fans aren't buying tickets and putting butts in seats over WMMA fights anymore, the 'wow' factor has completely died off with the departure of Ronda Rousey.
      Brandon Moreno vs Kai-Kara France for the interim Flyweight title should be the main event honestly. Kai has received some hype from the fans, particularly with the support from his teammate Izzy. Meanwhile Brandon Moreno is a beloved fan favourite with serious star potential. That fight is guaranteed to deliver fireworks and will draw more than the women's fight.

      After the Cruz win, dude was the talk of the town. He was in commercials, he was everywhere, he was seen as the future of the sport. There was even a promotional fan video on TH-cam for a potential McGregor vs Garbrandt fight that drew millions of views. In a way, his rise was almost Jon Jones-like, but it all came crashing down once he faced TJ.

    Masvida on here and not Jones? Till was already mentally beaten by himself when he fought Masvidal. Nate got a cut and NY refs got scared about it. Ben was previously retired, one-dimensional, and needed a hip replacement. To say Masvidal’s 2019 is overrated is the epitome of underrated.

    UFC≠MMA, although I know that a bunch of rabid Americans will disagree.

    • @Dukeflyhawker
      @Dukeflyhawker 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pride was the only sustainable org that had better fighters for a time, but remember that many of those guys themselves fought in the UFC prior. Baz, Randleman, Coleman, Barnett, Wanderlei. And since buying out all the biggest competition, UFC is the major leagues of MMA and everything else is a farm system. I wish it wasn't, but that's just the way it is.

    • @germanwolf9212
      @germanwolf9212 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dukeflyhawker unfortunately yes, but it seems ONE is on a good way and they have a very big talent pool and keep growing at the moment.
      Bellator is able to produce good fighters but they get bought out by the UFC once they reach a certain level. But who knows, the promotional landscape can always change and Japan showed with K1 and Pride that non-american brands can be very succesful, albeit for a limited amount of time.

    • @Dukeflyhawker
      @Dukeflyhawker 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@germanwolf9212 I'm not sure what it would take, but Japan could theoretically do it again. Even Dream was pretty good. What happened to them? Yakuza or something? I think the key is getting big US talent (i.em UFC cast offs) like they did in the 2000s, and then using one night tournaments to build new stars.
      Bellator is strange. They have big funding, and solid top level talent, but it's like two guys per division at best. Every one else seems like a first time fighter, every event. I'm subscribed to their TH-cam channel and barely know what's going on over there. Their marketing, advertising and promotion is non-existent. I hear One is alright, but I do need to get up to speed on them more.
