I just bought it of marketplace place quite cheaply with the intention of using the rack to extend my current alesis nitro and use the pads as bells/Glock etc. I have owned an alesis turbo and took them both apart, I can tell they both come from the same factory however the dd400 is built a lot more cheaply. For about £240 new for the dd400 versus £260 for a turbo with mesh pads , I would recommend the turbo mesh as the pads arent impressive. Good enough enough as accessories in my opinion but quite limited as drums pads
Hey Kev, thinking of getting this second hand for way cheaper but i was also stuck on thinking abt the bass drum. I was thinking of maybe just switching out the bass drum with a tower and beater - is there any reason to think this wouldnt be possible with a mini jack to quarter inch jack adapter?
Hi, thanks for the comment, while I haven’t tried it with these kits, on the Alesis models the modules on the basic kits don’t have the functionality to support a tower with a beater so it doesn’t work, even with an adapter. If I was a gambling man I’d say it’s likely the same with this Gear4Music kits too, however I can’t be too sure. Good luck!

Any knowledge on the Digital Drums 220X from gears4music
it seems qutie similar although the kickdrum is how you would want it
That video will be coming soon, thanks for the comment!
But how do you switch it on. How does the module work
I have one of the drum kits currently, there's a power switch and the back next to the headphone jack
V good review
It looks tiny
