The base pedal has 2 grub screws on the bottom that "locks" the metar bar in place. They are loose from factory and often they will unscrew themselves and will not contact with the bar, causing it to start to slide and come out. Nothing that a bit of loctite can't solve.

I'm interested in getting an e-drum kit that both my 10 year old and I can use. I'm on the shorter side, but am interested in the Pro over the Max. Do you think a kid could practice comfortably on the Pro? If not, do you think I could practice comfortably on the Max?

I personally have a problem with my Nitro Max...sometimes the sound of the kick drum is really...quiet and weird while sometimes it sounds alright...do you knoew if I need to change anything in the module or something?

Hello, Thanks for putting together this video. Do you still set the drum set up the same if you also got the expansion pack with eh extra snare drum as well as the extra cymbal. Setting it up now it seems incredible crowded and like there is no space anywhere and it doesn't seem right on my end, but maybe that's because of the expansion pack. Thanks, Max W.

Looking for a kit for my 13 year old who has been having lessons for about 12 months, and struggling to decide between the Nitro Max, this kit, or the Roland TD-07DMK. The max is obviously a lot more budget friendly, at close to half the price of this and the Roland, which would you recommend?

I'm thinking of buying a separate controlled hi-hat, one of those that imitate a real hi-hat, but if it's just to have a CLOSED/OPEN it's not worth it, I would like to know if this module supports variable sound between CLOSED/OPEN like a real hi-hat... I installed my kit and it's very wobbly even though the legs and connectors are level. I can push and pull the kit and the legs will bend with it. Everything is tight. What am I doing wrong?

I would recommend just getting the Pro. I like my Max but I've had to replace my hihat.

My question in regards to the models is what would you rather recommend for that age group? Turbo mesh comes out as No 1 beginner set for kids. Happy to invest a bit more if the Nitro can work for such young learners. Thank you

Hello, your videos are amazing. I'd like to ask something ... Can u use the Alesis nitro max/mesh cymbals and toms to make the nitro pro bigger ??? Are they compatible ???

I'm trying to decide on this kit or the max. The max seems to have a much more wobbly stand and a suspect snare arm. Most of the vids I've watched on the max show quite a lot of shakiness when playing. Since I'm pretty much only going to use the kit for clone hero I wonder if it's worth the upgrade for the better stand, bigger kick+easier double bass and slightly better module?

As long as you don't beat on them like your Tommy Lee they should last.

I'm 68 I've been Drumming since age 5 that's as far as I can remember. Always been using bongos timbales Congas acoustic drums. I just got this Alises kit the video to set up made it simple. .
