@@Underyourbedeyes Sure, not everyone does it because of pain, but Demi did. She didn't start doing drugs because she liked drugs. She liked that she didn't have to feel anything while on them. She liked masking her pain and anxiety and depression, but that does NOT mean she liked drugs specifically. She also did it for control, ANY control over her life. She has mental disorders that were never properly addressed because she would hide her trouble and her pain from her loved ones for fear of judgment and being ignored. She talks about the fact that she was raped in 2007 by a fellow actor she was working with on a movie. I remember back then, this guy wrote an article about this party, he said this party was a huge mess, Demi was completely wasted. Remember practicing this dance in my room, trying to make it come out perfect, was the best work out ever. Thought time for her, glad she is healthier and happy nowdays.
I remember my 14 years old me watching this thinking, "fuck, i wish i was her" and now that i am 22 and we know all the thruth behind this party, i see myself struggling with almost all the same issues Demi was going on during those days (bipolar disorder and eating disorder) and the only thing that comes to my mind is, "fine gurl, your 14 years old dream kinda came true" and it's so sad. But out of all sadness and bullshit, Demi has dancing skills tho.
I love Demi so much she can sing she can dance she can act what cant this girl do I swear shes amazing and I even learned the dance its not as hard as you think but I learned it yay!!
Ari Rountree simply complicated changes everything on the perspective of what was really happening and to think not to long after this she punched her back up dancer who’s in this video with orange reddish hair in face on the plane ride from Columbia to Peru and she told on her for the pills alcohol weed and anything else going on the night that they trashed the hotel in Columbia
I hope she can see some happiness in these memories and not let her addiction overshadow her happy moments in life. She looked like she has SO much fun doing this dance!!
watching this back, and knowing she had to be loaded on whatever, makes me so sad. she's an incredibly talented woman. she was my inspiration when she came forward about her struggles with addiction and her mental health decline in 2011. my own mental health had taken a serious hit when I was in college in 2012. I was taking pills, cutting, and skipping class altogether. I was studying psychology at LSU, and just couldn't handle it. kinda ironic. I had gotten "stay strong" on my wrist just 3 days before entering treatment myself. I was diagnosed bipolar. that diagnosis has now been changed to borderline personality. I truly truly hope she stays clean and sober. the damage to her brain because of the severe drug and alcohol abuse is extremely evident. she deserves to be sober and happy.

no i dont agree.
Naruto Uzumaki and you would be wrong
Park Bom Selena gomez looks like a damn robot when she "dances". All she does is move her arms around.
xEm0308x .????
And when she tries to twerk, she looks like she's gonna break a hip. Example: 31.media.tumblr.com/78b81357179418bf1559e198b1e3c972/tumblr_mr7wfaxfw51sqltyuo1_250.gif LOL! Homegirl's stiff as hell.
i hope Demi looks back to some of these videos to see how much she has grown and became her own person with such a powerful survival story ❤️ #dancingwiththedevil
Isn't the girl on her right the one she punched in the face? 😂😂😂😂
Yup lmao
Nikk TheOnSet yea. The red head.
YouWillNever KnowHer She has red/orange hair. and yes Demi punched in her face couple years ago she was on cocain then that's why she did it but she's better now
Yep it happened after this party
Winnie The Pooh no it was during the airplane ride
omg i wish she’d go back doing choreo again because girl can DANCE
Remember practicing this dance in my room, trying to make it come out perfect, was the best work out ever. Thought time for her, glad she is healthier and happy nowdays.
I love that this is on my TH-cam opening page TODAY HAHAHA love you Demi
Looks like she's having fun but we all know what's really behind the scenes. Especially after having watched "Simply complicated" documentary.
Back here after demi’s relapse 😭 I’ll always love u and u’ll always be a role model for all ur lovatics and fans ❤️
It’s so hard to know this is the year she changed her life forever
2017 and still love watching this
Crazy how no one knew what troubles she was going through at this time..look how skinny she was
Katrina Monroe she wasn't even skinny
Theweeknd! 2003 she was very skinny compared to how she is now
She 25 now...
Kate Angel I was thinking the same
Most teenaged girls until like 18 have a really high metabolism she looks normal to me here she looks like a woman now
not judging her from past, present or future. I'll always say she's powerful, capable and unique inspiration
thisssss is pure perfection
I love watching this, feels like I'm traveling back in time.
She's literally the definition of perfectly talented
this was like absolutely so iconic, still is
its so sad that no one notice how depressed she was and how much help she needed
If someone who doesn't know Demi and sees this video, they would think "She's having so much fun on her birthday". The truth changed everything..
I remember when this first came out. I was watching this over and over to learn the dance. The rehearsal is cool too. Hahahaha. I was 12 years old 😝
Singer, actress, writer, judger, compositor and dancer♥
Inspiration, saver and better♥
I hope she can see some happiness in these memories and not let her addiction overshadow her happy moments in life. She looked like she has SO much fun doing this dance!!
2021 anybody 🤭???
1:00-1:05 and 2:45-2:47 are SO COOOOOLL
2019! Still love this
my girl could move go off sis.
also realizing where she was in her journey here is heartbreaking but i hope she enjoyed this day in her dark days
My is this in my recommended 8 years later. No one will ever kno 😭
watching this back, and knowing she had to be loaded on whatever, makes me so sad. she's an incredibly talented woman. she was my inspiration when she came forward about her struggles with addiction and her mental health decline in 2011. my own mental health had taken a serious hit when I was in college in 2012.
I’m crying 😭 this is so sad to anyone who knows anything about her life
Was this in anyone's recommended randomly in 2021? or.....
This video was everything to me when I was a kid.. she’s still so cool 😎
Im 19 rn and i was 11 when this was uploaded demi has been my #1 role model i've been a fan a of her for 10 years
Demi is probably the only Disney Girl (Before Zendaya came) who knows how to dance without being stiff.
