    Man they really gotta design these things in the future so that you can change the tire without taking apart the whole wheel

      Lol, Do you want 2 pedals? It's like a motorcycle, except in the case of a single sided swingarm there is always an axle that passes thru the swingarm. It's the same principal here.

    Good info.
    Are the new batches of V11 shipping with 100% sealed bearings against water penetration?
    Cheers

    This tire replacement exercise do put me off buying one of this for commute (speaking from bike rider). Its not a simple exercise that it can perform on the side road. Can you design these to have a quick release instead of dismantling the entire unit?. Thanks

      Same to me. This video help me to realize that I don't need this in my life for now...

      @jamesarmstrong7131 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tire changes are only needed for like every 5k miles, and it's the only maintenance needed on a wheel. The tires themselves are much thicker than bicycle tires IIRC so punctures are extremely rare.

    @bartsted8369 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    If you deflate the tire first then you don't need a Buddy to remove the wheel from the body

    0:16 you can see that the saddle is broken. The saddle should have been molded with metal inserts.

    Are there any torque specs for re-assembly? For instince the four bolts that attach the black hangers to the center hub? I figure most of the fasteners that just hold covers or plastic pieces on should just be hand tight but the fasteners with mechanical structuors seem like they would have a spec.

    • @salvatius
      @salvatius 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe you could use a torque-meter tool before disassemblying, but correct me if I'm wrong.

    • @FourthWayRanch
      @FourthWayRanch ปีที่แล้ว

      torque spec are dependent on fastener size and can be found in generic tables. The typical torque for a 6mm bolt is around 70-105 in lbs

    • @Ambrovious
      @Ambrovious ปีที่แล้ว

      @embededfabrication4482 Torque specs are based on fastener size but also on fastener type, thread pitch, alloy, length, and the material, it is being used on. It would be nice if you could just look it on on a chart but there are too many variables.

    A written user manual for this would come handy too. Pixtures and text. The thing about the screw adhesive was a little too fast could U explain that pls? 5:57 This film is too fast to be helpfull. Use words too if possible. Why are we doing this? 1) bad bearings on some wheels 2) tire shift is needed now and then. but very very tedious. Reconnecting is the next film? With close attention to motorboard wiring etc... remember we paid you for this.
