The Xcel Comp Vs Phoenix - What's The Difference?

The Xcel Comp and Phoenix wetsuits have lots in common with a similar template. Both have Ultra Flex neoprene one-piece front and back panels for a maximum range of motion. They have the same zipper and popper closure, although the Phoenix has a Channel Flex upper body for a superior stretch and reduced weight. Due to this, the Phoenix also has a slightly different panel cut on the arm.
While both are glued and blind stitched with a plush Thermolite IR lining. The Phoenix has fully taped seams while the Comp only offers spot taping and critical taping around the inside legs.
Due to the full taping, the Phoenix will be a more robust wetsuit than the Comp and for the same reason will be the warmer wetsuit of the two.
The Comp has all the essentials at an attractive price, and for a little extra you get full taping and Channel Flex in the Phoenix.
