It would be better if this game had the train's traction motors, the "this is" announcement when it arrives at the station, and the "this is a Brooklyn bound Q train" before the "the next stop is" before it departs
Hey, talking about openbve... Do you know or at least know any of the other developers that are in the process of developing the updated routes like the Q, N etc ... Do you know when they'll upload the updated routes to bvestation??
Fan Railer I didnt play it, but I am pretty sure even in this simulator there will be a traffic jam. And I am gonna have to tell the customers on the train there is a train traffic ahead of us. MTA sucked before, sucks now, and will suck unless it becomes private.
+Fan Railer you know what worth 80k? have all the subway lines and they should have: A B C D E F G H J K L M N Q R Shuttles T V W Z And 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 9 trains
Yep typically y'all developers of nyc edition openBVE have GARBAGE PC's that's why you give regular users HELL when they discover they're missing objects routes or trains and CALL US LEEHES just because you find out we rocking (me anyway, for 3 yrs nearly right hand on BIBLE) i9 9900K, 2080ti, 32GbRAM, 1.5TB NVME, 1000watt psu and y'all videos display LAG from a simulator with FAKE GRAPHICS because y'all really have a LOW END RIG!!😂🥳🤡
Imagine if we had to rebuild the NYC subway from scratch today? It'd probably take hundreds of years and bankrupt the entire globe. Some less familiar with rail history may not know that, in the early 1900s, entire subway systems were constructed and put to use in a matter of 2 or 3 years. Now it takes 2 or 3 decades, billions of dollars, delays, political scandals, and fare hikes merely to extend our current system a fraction of a mile. Is it naive to think that a century of technological advancements would enable us to take on new subway projects more efficiently? or at least on par with a century ago? What is the story we tell ourselves to explain this historical discrepancy? The marketing campaigns put forth by the MTA "improving non-stop", Port Authority "50 years of progress", NJ Transit, Amtrak, etc. are just that -- marketing campaigns. As an example of real progress, look up how many urban rail systems China has built just in the last decade. *Systems* not lines. Can we really call ourselves industrialized when our ability to build infrastructure can not keep up with demand? The current state of urban rail transit all over the U.S. and even in NYC is upsetting to me, and it should be to you too. Transportation is a basic requirement for economic growth. There is something gravely wrong.
nx1101 You are correct. A system of this size would take fifty years to complete. The Washington DC metro is a good example. It took nearly 40 years to complete and is half as complex as NYC.
+nx1101 Feasibility studies, community consultation, the list goes on. Back then it was "lets build it here, it looks pretty cool." Also, public liability insurance and other work safety considerations were not even mentioned.
Ohhh, wow 3 whole stops! How many years is this going to take? The entire 2nd Avenue line is supposed to be over 8 miles from lower Manhattan (Hanover Square) to 125th but it probably won't be completed (if ever) until after I'm dead. I'm 26 by the way.
***** It's still the 2nd avenue subway line and the first phase where the Q and T would be utilizing. The fact that it's taking them about 10 years to complete 3 new subway stops on this line is beyond ridiculous and at the amount of cost. Places like China and Japan would have the whole entire line built in less than this time with significantly less cost.
TheDavinchoo The first phase might open next year. TM is talking about the full line, which will extend to lower Manhattan. No plans yet to actually make that happen, and since the 2nd Avenue line has been planned since 1929, it's perfectly reasonable to assume it might not be completed before a 26-year-old would die of natural causes. Because MTA.
Two Things: 1. Isn't the announcement off. I mean, the station name happens first before the train stops, then the borough bound/terminal name comes next, then, the next stop comes last. And it is surprising how I know this because I take the G Train (my favorite line, too), and the G Train doesn't run R160s but runs R68/a. 2. Is there anything planned for the G Train, like maybe, I don't know, more train cars. Because it just unfair on how easily crowded these G Trains get, especially at Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets, and plus they take long enough, so that plays a factor for why it is crowded (please, I wait 13 minutes at 7th Avenue for the 2:53pm train to Queens if I miss the 2:40pm, and usually in that time, there is like a trillion F Trains during this wait time. It's just sooo annoying).
Wait a minute, I just realized something. How do you guys have enough money to build this piece of junk, yeah you always claim you never have enough money to do some other IMPORTANT things with the money. If you ask me, if this is what we, the people, get for $2.75 fares and $1 fee for a Metrocard plus the amount the Metrocard is to get, then what's the point of using the subway or the bus. G Trains need more cars, C Trains should get extended passed Euclid Avenue (because the A Line is far from dependable at this point), but there is no money. Yet this is what we get, a piece of junk that is only going to be used by like 10 people. This system must be broken or something.
+R32 G Crosstown Train They have millions and billions of dollars in their budget when you pay for the MetroCard its impossible to even pay it. Most of their funding is from the state and city. They did not use your money. Its just a game, nobody even tries to give the MTA a chance. Just accept the game! If its junk then they wouldn't even try.
I love how you actually get time ADDED if you increase your velocity too much. Um, no, MTA, that is *not* how physics works, though the whole "Getting between stations quickly == bad" mentality exhibited here explains oh so much about the subway system...
Stanford Vogel A labeling problem. What's added to is, of course, your score (as in golf, lower is better), which is confusingly tallied in time units because the main component of the total score is elapsed time.
Stanford Vogel I believe the limit is in place (both in the simulator and IRL) because the curves on some of the older lines are too sharp for speeds above 40-50 mph.
The "This is (stop goes here)" announcement is way too late. The "This is a Brooklyn bound..." is supposed to be after then the next stop should be announced.
One thing for sure is that this simulator doesn't convince me , the panel doesn't look like a NTT , the announcements are way off... The person driving this train is probably high because arriving into a station at 45 mph is just stupid. I can just say that the track work, the level of 3d detail and the motor sounds and along with the "we are delayed because of train traffic" is pretty cool ... But if you guys didn't know... OPENBVE is a train simulator that includes the majority of the MTA subway routes and I MUCH prefer that instead of this crappy simulator ... It's free and you can download content at bvestation.com check it out and like I said its worth playing openbve if you're a person that's passionate and obsessed with trains like me.
@Ryve Kadrijaj Click his link above (in blue) today as a regular user you'll have access to everything but the official # 1, 7, E and L routes and R-1, R-211 and R- 262 trains and if you ever ask for them THEY'LL CALL YOU A "LEECH" !?
Greeatttt. Now I know my taxes and fares are being used on some short lived simulator that doesn't even show the whole line. I'm disgusted because now all of the vandals with cameras know how the new line gonna look. I want my money back. Every swipe to use the subway. Down with the MTA.
Dynomike54 Exactly. It's trying to show you what it's like to really be a motorman. It's work. You don't get to race around in a train. You have to keep a schedule, and respond to 'traffic lights', i.e., signals.

i think it can be better honestly. you guys have millions billions of dollars. cant you just use at least $200,000-$700,000 on a good mta simulator with 3D cabs etc etc from mobile wash to RCC. like for people across the world to get the feel of working for mta. or something. everyone wants a mta simulator. make one. dont depend on TML-Studios.. They didn't make the 7 line qs great as i thought they would
Not from my perspective on the settings I play on high/Ultra/atmospheric etc,etc The 7 line of World Of Subways 4 BURNS openBVE and I had the convenience of purchasing it and not had to hear I was a LEECH🤡
